I am looking to arm a small portion of my current home defense force (no formal military, yet) with a new set of weapons. I will call this contract the Mk.1 Weapons Systems contract. (Note that while my country is new, I am not. I was here before a long time ago, and built up quite a large nation. I am set in real time, and be realistic. If you have a realistic design, or build your own version of a common rifle type, fine. Nothing you would find Arnie or Rambo with.) Being awarded the contract, count on being summoned later in this nation's life for more weapons.
The requirements are as follows-
~ Must be of a common intermediate cartridge (for example 5.56x45 NATO, newer 6.8x43 RSPC, 5.45x39 Russian, with the exception that I do NOT want a 7.62x39 "AK" series)
~ Must be magazine fed, with the magazine well FORWARD of the trigger assembly (IE- NO BULLPUPS).
~ Magazine must have a capacity no less than 25 and no more than 35 rounds.
~ Must be rugged and well built (Don't argue with me that the AR series is not reliable)
~ Must have a gas piston "oprod" gas system, not a direct gas blowback (Common on AR-15s).
~ Must have a picatinny (3, 6, 9, 12) rail system with flip up or removable BUIS. NO INTEGRATED, NON REMOVEABLE ELECTRONIC SIGHTS, WHAT SO EVER.
~ Must come with a field cleaning kit that is able to be stored within the weapon (buttstock, hanguards)
~ Must have a barrel length of no less than 16" and no more than 18", measured before any flash suppressor or compensator is installed. Must be chrome lined (including chamber/receiver) and have a barrel life of 10,000 rounds +. Must have a fire rate of over 100 rounds per minute sustained, with a 3 minute sustained firing that will not induce "cookoffs".
~ Must have NO stainless steel showing anywhere on the weapon. Entire weapon must be constructed with materials that do not shine, or have been subdued.
~ Must have a two piece receiver, with upper housing the chamber and bolt, lower housing magazine well and trigger group. Must be able to switch uppers to accomidate different barrel lengths/purposes.
Cost per unit to be no more than 1250$ with three magazines. Option to include optical sights may also be in the contract (bidder specified). Magazine unit costs to not exceede 25$.
If nobody still likes to RP oldschool like this anymore, well, shame on you. Don't make me come to you to award you a contract that may very well exceede 1 million units over a period of time within the year. It isn't realistic.
