Wolfish
04-01-2005, 23:25
ooc: for those that haven’t seen the Wolfish Idea Shop before, this is an opportunity to bid on production rights ONLY. I don’t sell this vessel, I sell the concept, designs etc.
I will only sell to modern tech nations (or those providing a storefront to mod-tech nations).
I will only sell to 500 million-plus population nations.
I reserve the right to deny any bid due to poor relations with that nation (ie any RWC nation, or nation with ties to the RWC).
You will purchase the sole production rights, with the exception of Wolfish, which maintains the right to produce this item for domestic use only.
This is an auction. Bid responsibly and reasonably. I am the final judge of what is, or isn’t allowed as a bid. The sale will end in 24 hours, or, if the reserve is not met, I shall notify the forum that I’m removing the item from auction.

The retired Naval Commander watched as the crowd slowly filled the room – arms dealers, government representatives and a hundred “unknown” buyers came in and found their seats. This was the third “Idea Shop” venture, and it was turning into quite a circus – with some nations bidding just to keep Wolfish technologies out of the hands of their enemies.
He walked out from the stage’s edge – his combat boots striking hard onto the wood planking.
“Good morning and thank you for coming today. I won’t waste your time…lets get to the reason we’re all here.
Wolfish Defense Industries have developed the next generation Arsenal Ship.”
He pushed the key on the remote control and a large screen began showing three dimensional images of a traditional arsenal ship (first-generation).
“As you know – first generation arsenal ships were designed to conduct operations primarily against land-based targets.
And we’ve certainly seen some successes within that tactical situation.”
He pushed another button and the image shifted to live-action video of an arsenal ship firing salvo after salvo of cruise missiles into the sky.
“The problem though, is this…”
Another shift in the image – scrolling pictures of massive battleships, frigates, cruisers and submarines from various nations.
“The problem is getting past vast fleets of hostile ships before you can get into range of land-targets.
So Wolfish Defense Industries has developed the next-generation of Arsenal Ships.”
Another button push and a sleek image of a new (and intimidating) warship came on the screen.

The Commander waited for the buzz to subside as the bidders took in the new ship.
“What you are seeing is a whole new design – building on the best of Wolfish Defenses past success – and failures – to bring you the ultimate fleet support weapon.
As stated the designation of this weapon is naval combat, anti-ship, anti-sub operations…I’ll quickly run through the stats before taking questions.”
The screen changed again, listing features and specifications of the ship.

“Any questions…” he asked.
A man in the back row called out, “What’s she called?”
“Ah,” said the Commander smiling. “This class of warship is called REAPER…now, I’m happy to take any more questions – otherwise we’ll start the bidding at $10 billion dollars.”
