As the enormous ship closed in on its target it relized it had been detected. The order was given for all crew to move to battle stations. They two ships were prepared to engage in the middle of nowhere, there was nothing nearby.

OOC: Superpower07, are you going to use any forces other than your capital ship or not. If you don't then I wont either.

OOC: I will use some mobile suits that are stored inside my capital ship - nothing else tho.

The bridge of the Archangel sprung to life with activity.
"All hands, level one battlestations!" shouted the captain. "Launch bays, ready the M1-Astrays!"

The ships manned their fighters and armed their main heavy beam connons and fired while they charged up their heaviest weapon.

The fighters were then deployed and put on stand by.

"Charge the positron cannons!" Captain Ramius commanded.
"Positron cannons beginning to charge . . . now at 15%" informed co-captain Badgaruiel

The upper and lower doors on the Archangel's front legs opened up - out of the hangars flew 15 M-1 Astrays, with the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam as their squad leader.

Out of the lower doors emerged the positron cannons, charging.

"Fire Valiants and Helldarts!" ordered the captain.

A barrage of missiles flew from the Archangel

The two massive cannons fired simultaniously directly at the enemy. The ship then prepared to intercept the missiles.

The anitmatter sheilds were sent up intercepting the missiles allowing for no damage as of yet.

"Captain, we have massive twin energy surges coming our way!" shouted the co-captain.

"The positron cannons are now fully charged; fire them at the enemy's heavy beams" commanded the captain.

"But captain, that will cause massive collateral dama-"
"You think I don't know this already? FIRE THEM! Freedom, Astray Squadron, get THE HELL OUT OF HERE!"

The positron cannons fired, as Freedom Gundam and the M-1 Astrays fled. The opposing streams of enemy fire collided, causing a massive energy burst which overheated the armor of Archangel but knocked out the shield of the enemy's ship.

"Okay, we've knocked out their shields but our own armor won't do any good unless we can cool it down; circulate the coolant - it will take time to cool our armor down, so we will be very vulnerable for a while"

OOC: I'll let it slide this time but it is considered godmodding to RP losses or damages for me. In the future it is my decision to decide my losses.

The Antimatter sheilds soon went down. The ship would have to strike while the enemy was weak too.

They knew that the enemies armor was overheated so they decided to further the damage by using their plasma cannons. These contained munitions at temperatures close of that to a star and would cripple whatever spot it hit on the emeny ship.

Seconds later a message on the terminal confirmed a succesful lauch of the specialized cannon and that back-up sheilds were ready for use.

"Captain, the enemy has deployed a plasma cannon!"

"Try to take it down with the Godtfried cannons! Freedom, Astrays, target the enemy cruiser, but watch yourselves - we don't want to lose any of our Mobile Suits. Oh, and Freedom, do NOT, I repeat do NOT fire Freedom Gundam's four railguns all at once - that will only make the enemy attack harder"

"Ok," said Freedom's pilot, as the MSes opened fire with beam rifles.

The Largentian vessel deployed its fighters and its one destroyer(standard on our larger ships) to deal with the firing vessels. The were causing minimal damage since the ships armor was quite a spectical.

Since the plasma cannon had to be retracted into the ship for cooling it was not damaged although the enemies cannons did manage to put a dent in the armor.

The ship then began to open fire with railguns.

"Damage report, co-captain"

"We've lost a number of Valiants and Helldarts, not to mention a Godtfried - and 2 Astrays were destroyed and 3 have returned to seek repairs. Also, one of our wings is crippled, although it won't matter unless we descend to a planet in combat"

"Then we'll stay clear of any nearby planets. Deploy four more Astrays! Kira Yamato (Freedom Gundam's pilot), take these Astrays and show the enemy starfighters what mobile suits can truly do!"

Freedom Gundam and the four M1-Astrays went after the enemy's starfighters and destroyer, while the Archangel deployed anti-ship depth (or rather, space) charges in an attempt to shield itself from enemy fire.

The captain observed these mines. He knew his hull could withstand it, however his opponent did not. "Make it look like we are trying to get around the mines, then plow through and ram the enemy from any direction."

As the order was executed some weaker parts of the hull sustained moderate damage. The hsip was just lucky that its main funtion was ramming and heavy fire.
