With is his work for the day finished, Harold Armstrong sat back in his chair and looked out his window at the courtyard below. In light certain events, more important the growing instability in the Cave region, the government of Tappee had decide it was now time for the entirety of Cave regions members to sit down a talk. At no point of Cave’s existence had all of it members had sat down for an open dialog.
Now more then ever a united front was required to deal with the harsh realities that each nation was facing. Two years of war had left Tappee’s military beleaguered and over stretched. Not to mention the Terrorist situation that both Iaceo and Tappee were dealing with. King Baraca if Calnuxia was facing harsh internal opposition to his purpose reforms, enough to bring the country to near stand still. Add to that the news that an economic meltdown may be occurring in Tappee’s oldest and closet ally of Eruditio, a situation that if left unchecked could also cause a political meltdown.
So in a last ditch effort the first annual Cave Region Economic and Political Conference (CREPC) had been created. Due to security issues, the conference would be located at the Kings palace in Calnuxia. However, despite the fact that a conference had been called, Harold worried that not all members would actually attend.
Calnuxia’s attendance had been assured when they agreed to host the conference, the others he was not so sure about. Given Iaceo’s and Tappee’s colored past there were those in the Iaceo government that do not look fondly upon Tappee. As for Eruditio, the government had taken a position of isolation follow the Cave Crisis, and not much was even known about their current government, their attendance was questionable.
Despite all that the invitations had been sent out, and all he could do was wait for everyone to show up.
