“After that word from our sponsors, we return to our top story. This afternoon, a cowardly thieving communist refused a duel with police commissioner Joseph Callahan. Callahan had two witnesses to his challenge and our cameras were there to record the event.”

**camera is focused on a man behind a podium**

“Brothers and sisters, me must begin the revolution. The capitalist dogs have gone too far. We must fight them...

**camera pans to a car rolling up**

Callahan and two deputies step out of a gray sedan and walk toward the podium, which has a red flag with a yellow hammer and sickle on it. Callahan unbuttons his suit jacket, and lets it hang open.

**camera follows Callahan and his cronies**

Callahan and his two friends walk over and stand near a brick wall, off to the side of the speaker. Callahan puts on a pair of dark sunglasses, and watches the speaker.

**camera pans to Communist speaker**

The speaker gestures toward the wall where the police officers are standing.

“Look at them. There are the pigs now, come to threaten us I imagine. Come pig-dog capitalists, afraid of me as your equal.

**camera pans back toward Callahan**

Callahan takes off his sunglasses, tucks them inside his jacket, and walks toward the podium with his cronies.

**camera pans toward the speaker**

Ah. The pigs have come to shut me down and oppress me.

**camera pans back toward Callahan**

Callahan and his cronies walk up onto the speaker’s platform and begins to speak to him.

“Listen punk, here in P3X1299 cops don’t take kindly to being called pigs. Watch your mouth.

The communist speaker looks a little scared, but regains his courage once it becomes apparent that Callahan is not going to do anything.

“Mr. Pig-Dog high and mighty capitalist ain’t so high and mighty any more is he?”

Callahan smiles at the protestor.

“Here in P3X1299, cops don’t have to put up with people insulting them. I challenge you to a duel. Tomorrow at dawn.”

“Hey pig, go bother someone else.”

Callahan smiled, nodded to the camera, and walked off the platform with his two cronies in tow.

“Well, once the truth about the belief that communists had in their cause, much of the crowd began to disperse. We here at PNN applaud Callahan and his brave exposure of the cowardice of the pinko commies. Thanks to the commissioner for giving us capitalists something to laugh at once again.”

News Anchor: “Today, it is my pleasure to introduce to you, the man who humiliated that communist fool yesterday. I must say, Commissioner, that was an excellent piece of work.”

Police Commissioner Joseph Callahan: First off, you can call me Joe. Everyone else does. I’d also like to thank you for the comment about the communist. I must say that I rather enjoyed it.”

News Anchor: [chuckles] “Yes. We here in the studio we laughing.”

Joe: “I wasn’t laughing when I was out there though. I was serious.”

Anchor: “I bet you were. Would you have really shot that man in a duel?”

Joe: “Isn’t that what duels are for?”

Anchor: “Yes, yes indeed. So tell me, why did you do it?”

Joe: “Challenge him to a duel?”

Anchor: “Yes.”

Joe: “Because I was fed up with him calling our brave police pigs.”

Anchor: “So, you don’t like to be called a pig then.”

Joe: “Nope. I don’t.”

Anchor: “Yes, I think that I would find that rather annoying too. Anyway, Joe, do you not like communists at all?”

Joe: “Communists are thieves, plain and simple.”

Anchor: “Really?”

Joe: “Yes, really.”

Anchor: “Thank you for your time commissioner.”

Joe: “Good evening ma’am.”
