is godmodding wrong?
is goddmodding a good or bad thing?
yes: because it shos a person has developed new weaponry other nations might sell
no:because it shows that the nation is either a new player (which is quite
normal for them to godmod as they dont yet understand the game)
and wastes the other nations time to do other things they may want.
and the godmodding nation is also laughed at by other nations.
You don't have to be a young nation to godmod. Just look at... Nevermind.

Actually, he's right; the Chinese Republic of GHI, a really old nation that apparently never RP'd before, showed up and godmodded in my own war thread, though I doubt he intended that.
However, considering that there are a few sticky threads that tell you what is allowed and what isn't here, making a new thread about it was not necessary in the least.

A Godmode is an arbitary statement of superiority detrimental to good RP.
Definition of Godmoding
1) Saying what happens to other people's stuff.
2) Refusing to take any losses. Or lose. Ever.
3) Having übertech armies that are too large, etc.
4) Having your nation’s geography to your extreme advantage.

"Yeah, well my elite Chartreuse Guards show up in their hovercraft that have shields that can protect my entire army. Their shields repel your missiles and using our thought control command center, we turn the missiles and they blow up your guys! And then the cockroaches infest your supplies and your food goes bad.. and you run out of clean socks."

[OOC: I think Godmodding is bad at any time. If you're a new RPer, you really should read the stickies or read other RPs before you begin to RP. Number one, it's good advice any time you join an online forum to get a sense of the "culture" of the forum you're joining. Number two, reading stickies can help prevent you from making a lot of needless mistakes.
If you're a veteran RPer, you should know better. Plain and simple.]

OOC: I think even as someone new to RP, you have to have a level of understanding that it is a little ridiculous and unfair to have a one-sided series of events that solely benefit your nation/forces.
