The Department of War today announced that the newly procured land of Hawaii is to be converted into a massive military installation. The main four islands of Hawai'i, Maui, O'ahu, and Kaua'i will be converted to suit the military needs of the area.

Expansion will include three major naval bases (including one build over the former Pearl Harbor), many airstrips capable of landing both conventional aircraft and spacecraft, a Military R&D Center for Planetside Operations, and manufacturing planets.

The smaller landmasses of the island chain and existing cities, on the other hand, will be used to house the estimated 1,000,000 soldiers to be stationed their, codenamed the “Dreamers” after the installation, “Dreamland”.

The facility is to be powered by a mixture of geothermal power planets situated around Hawaii's active volcanoes, wind, and fusion generators. This mixture will be able to provide the immense power required by this base.

Meanwhile, inhabitants of the islands are being asked to either relocate to Honolulu (the only city not being touched), or to leave entirely. Those that choose the latter option are being issued business-class airplane tickets to their desired location, and are being aided with moving their possessions.

The Intellegence Serives of Taiwanese Islands eyes the recent developments in Hawaii with great interests. After reports came back on the details, General Sanjix told the Defense Committee of Congress:

Parlim's plans for Hawaii is most intriguing indeed. The idea of a dedicated military region is one which provides the backbone to regional dominance. Although currently Taiwanese Islands is too small to have use for such installations, there is no reason why our military analysts shouldn't study the idea and plan our stategic interests accordingly.

Sanjix's words refer to top-secret plans within the Taiwanese Islands government for military expansions. Although Congress has not given the green light yet, the military has been told to devise strategic schemes.

OoC: Sounds interesting, TI. Perhaps we could RP a Pearl Harbor styled attack on my installation when it is completed?

Hundreds of spacecraft landed through Hawaii today to begin construction of the massive military compound. Citizens were rounded up and sent to Honolulu, while the foundations for the buildings were laid.

Meanwhile, bunches of ships flock between the islands, preparing to construct bridges and monorails in between them.

OOC: Pearl Harbour sure sounds fun. But the techonological gap between us is too great.......

OoC: Bombs still effect me as much as the next guy. Besides, we have no real land force, other than soldiers. Parlim uses a style much like the Americans did in Vietnam. Fly in, shoot, fly out (except we do it from orbit). This means that we really didn't need tanks (and a naval force was completely useless), so your soldiers would be pretty vunerable, aside from our air force. Pretty much why I'm' building this is so I can start making land vehicles.

OOC: In that case, I'll start building up my naval forces..... Though I'll be away on holiday for the rest of the week~

IC: Several days after construction began in Hawaii, the National Security Agency compiled a report stating the devastating military potentials the new Hawaiian Bases would give Parlim. The findings sent shockwaves that rocked the Taiwanese Island governments, and Senator Willikams immediately ordered the Defense Intellegence Agency to analyse Parlim intentions, while the National Security Agency went on to prepare possible contigency and response plans.

Soon the reports were presented to the National Security Executive Committee and Congress Defense Committee. Although the DIA knew very little about Parlim, they somehow managed to prepare a lengthy essay that was to go down in history as the Long Report. Though, as most Goverment documents are, details are shrouded in secrecy, this much is know:

1.) The Government and Peopel of Parlim are aggressive by nature
2.) Parlim has embarked upon total domination of Earth III
3.) The strength of Parlim will ultimately force all in the region into submission, even without the use of armed force
4.) Most importantly the existence of a power military force that is vastly superior to our own in the region will hamper our own efforts at becoming a major regional power

In response, the Committees reviewed proposals put forwth by the NSA. After several days of heated debate and alterations, President Kensedy and Congress finally authorized a massive military project as a response to the Hawaiian bases. Again, details are classified, but it is believed that the NSA plans calls for a pre-emptive strike to be conducted upon completion of constructions in Hawaii.

Government officials plunged into work solemnly as they await the consequences - good or bad - of their course of actions.

The thousands of contruction workers let of a triumphant cheer, and the staff ran towards their posts, beginning the work assigned to them with a cheerful smile. Overhead, several jets soared in formation, performing amazing feats of acrobatics before breaking off and landing.

Thus the dream began.

OOC: have you stationed any forces there?

IC: Today, the naval combatants in Maryland received orders to set sail. The Admirals have been notified in advance that such commands were imminent, and necessary preparations were made, allowing the ships to be well on their way before the day ends.

The destination is somewhere down in the Pacific; a location codenamed Pearls Delta. Observers will note that this fleet is consisted of 4 carriers; meaning that the bulk of Marland's naval forces have been deployed. This involves 2 Carrier Battle Groups and 1 Carrier Strike Group.

What these observers will not notice is the 54 submarines that are silently making their ways into the pacific. Those attached to the Carrier Groups will follow their carriers into Pearls Delta, while those under the authority of the Strategic Forces Command are converging upon Pearls Charlie.

On the airfields, preparations began also for hundreds of aircrafts......

OoC: Yeah, a million (as estimated in the first post). I would like to not go into nuclear weapons, as well.

OOC: okay, roger that

IC: Shortly after the Maryland Naval Forces crossed into the Pacific, forces in Taiwan went into DefCon2. Forces equating to 4 Carrier Battle Groups and 3 Carrier Strike Groups sailed out of ports in Keelung, Kaohsiung and Lienyun. Air force land crews began fitting the bomber fleets with munitions and fuels. The National Warfare Centre had lights on throughout the whole night.

Grand Admiral Yoshitsugu Shimadu knew exactly what to do. For days he and his colleagues have been working on this plan, and he has every single detail memorized. He is confident that he will be utilizing the Commonwealth Naval Forces to its uttermost potentials; he pray that it will be enough for what they are about to attempt.

"Sir, the Strategic Forces Command is on the line." A Lieutenant told him.

Nodding, Shimadu headed into the Secured Communications Room. On the big LCD screen in front of him, Admiral Hsu sat solemnly.

"How're you feeling, Yoshi?"

"Nervous," Shimadu replied, genuinely. "And a little afraid."

"Aren't we all, aren't we all," Hsu signed. "Anyway, my subs are now at Pearls Alpha. It is all up to you now. May the blessings of Heaven go with you!"

Shimadu walked back to his bridge.

"Sir, ETA to Pearls Beta: 15 minutes," Major Matsu Yokosaki informed him. She looked pale but determination sparkled in her eyes. "We are ready."
