Acre Union is facing a large invasion, by the Ottoman Alliance, and our forces are low on man power, but we have large sums of money from the treasury. If any Mercenaries are willing to be hired to work the in the defence of Acre Union, they will be paid handsomely.

OOC: Is it really that hard to hire an army?

OOC: Apparently, it is. Mercs are pretty expensive. Paying 4500 troops $30,000 a piece per year is seriously a lot of money, and that's just for the troops. Kinda makes conscription sound much more appealling. I'll see if I can draw up a couple of mercenary units though. They'll be expensive.
If you want mercenaries, I wouldn't recommend you put them on the front lines. I'd recommend you hire them for training your other military units.
In P3X1299, military surplus weapons are readily available, so mercenary units have no problem obtaining equipment. They'll probably have some type of totally non-standard weapon though.
