Official Public Announcement

Today the Turkish government was found guilty and all government officials, that where involved in the cowardly and sneak attacks before the invasion of Turkey, where executed. They where fairly trialed in the Supreme Court of Justice of Greece and the supreme judge was presented with evidence clearly showing that the Turkish government ordered these attacks. The evidence was not forged and where retrieved from a government building in Izmir.

I will also start reforms in Turkey. My number one priority is to get rid of this poverty in Turkey which economics specialists say might affect our economy when the borders will officially open and millions of refugees will get into Greece. That is why all the homeless, unemployed, crippled, and poor Turkish people will be moved to a location in Eastern Turkey. The Muslim religion in Constantinople is banned and all mosques are ordered to be destroyed. The Turkish population there will be moved out and be replaced by Greek families the same will happen on the coast. All the cities will also get back there rightful Greek names if they had any if not they will be named the same. I also encourage the nations of Euroslavia and Generic Empire to do the same with there part of Turkey.

OOC> Suggest your government might also eliminate the name TURKey and start calling it Asia Minor like it was back in the day when the Byzantine Empire ruled it? If you need help with some of the Greek names (I'm assuming you probably won't), I know some of them.

A new reform that will take place immediately is that Turkey will now be called Asia Minor by its rightful name. That is what it was called by everybody during the Ancient and Middle Ages.

OOC> I have a full list somewhere, I'll keep a look out for it. The biggest ones that come to mind are Izmir (Smyrna in Greek), Ankara (Ancrya in Greek), Trapzon (Trebizond in Greek, so probably close enough). There's a few smaller places in Turkey that were once the site of large cities in the Classical or Byzantine period. Antakya, a smallish city was the huge city of Antioch in the classical period. Same with Bergama, which was the ancient city of Pergamum. Bodrum was Helicarnassos. Iskenderum was Alexandretta. Edirne was Adrianople. Konya was Iconium. Iznik was Nicaea. And I think that completes the main list. Bursa is basically the name it has always had.

Byzantium Pantocrator applauds the actions of the Empire of Greece heartily. Hopefully the heathen Ottomans shall finally recieve the humbling at the hand of the children of Hellas that they have deserved since the abominable sack of Constantinople in 1453.
