The Prime Minister himself lit the first rocket of the Centennial New Year's Day fireworks show. The rocket, which the Prime Minister selected randomly from over a thousand, exploded at exactly 12:00:00.01 PM into the Ronius Vigilantes flag, a symbolic coincidence. The show was reportedly seen for up to 100 miles away. Amid the bursts of fireworks Prime Minister Silverstein made a statement to his people and the rest of the world.
"In a year of prosperity, violence, and change throughout the world, our country has remained solid. Though war looms, we celebrate the New Year with great happiness. I wish my people and the people of the world a prosperous 2005. Cheers!"
He drank from a glass of champaign. Tomorow, the Prime Minister Silverstein will make his annual State of the Republic and Region speech, rather than his monthly State of the Republic speech.
