The government of WyattLand elected a new president this morning, allowing the interim president, President McGinnis, to step down. President McGinnis was sworn in as interim President after President Spencer was assassinated outside of the capital building. The new President, President Sprull addressed the nation this morning.
"My fellow citizens, following the unfortunate assassination of President Spencer, the government of WyattLand has come to the conclusion that freedom, ultimately, cannot be won by a policy of appeasement. The only way to pursue peace, is to pursue those who threaten it. As the new government commences it's work, and WyattLand becomes known as a "Holy Empire", suppression of freedom by benevolent governments and tyrants will no longer be tolerated, but it will be met with deadly force. The government of WyattLand considers the promotion of Anime to be a part of freedom of expression, protected under WyattLand's constitution. Our people do not pray for war, but we will be prepared for it, if the time arises. May our people have a Happy New Year, and God Bless the new WyattLand."
