Today, on what is normally a peaceful day of celebration all over the Democratic Colonies, armed soldiers and federal forces are fighting to seperate religous mobs in southern Kearond Colony, where martial law has been declared.

The current crisis began yesterday, when a crowd of Christians reportedly attacked and burnt down a synagogue in the heavily populated city of Gidious. Jewish synagogue goers were pulled onto the street and beaten by Christians before local police forces arrived in full riot gear. After action reports by the Gidious Metropolitan Police Department list a total of 23 civilians dead, 66 severely wounded, with 31 police officers wounded. 81 people were arrested.

The Christians, all belonging to the Church of Eternal Salvation, claimed that the attack was in response to the attempted posioning of thier spiritual leader Cardinal Charles Fiennes by 'zionic forces on thier quest to destroy Christians'.

By the end of yesterday, several synagogues had been burnt to the ground, atleast 500 civilians lay dead and over 60 police officers and federal security agents were killed in the line of duty.

Martial law was declared at 12:01 AM today in the southern part of the remote island Kearond Colony. Local police forces have been reinforced by Colonial Marines and agents of the Colonial Security Bureau, while Colonial Navy Battlegroup 3.1 commanded by Admiral Rachel Garrett has been dispatched with a full marine detachment and a pair of hospital ships. Christian members of the Church of Eternal Salvation however, have said that they will continue to fight anyone who tries to protect the 'zionic forces of destruction' from them, and continue to clash with Colonial police, security and military forces. Lethal weapons are in use by all sides, and the Colonial Government has ordered that all members of the Church of Eternal Salvation are to be arrested on sight or shot if they are armed.

The Church of Eternal Salvation is reportedly appealing for international aid from Christian nations in any form.

Preliminary reports indicate that there are now over 2500 dead civilians in southern Kearond Colony, with over 300 government personel killed in action. The Church of Eternal Salvation is routinely launching roadside ambushes against government patrols, and are reportedly rampaging through the downtown of Gidious, the capitol city of Kearond Colony.

There are unconfirmed reports of M1A2 Abrams tanks running over large numbers of Christan fundamentalists infront of the Gidious City Hall. We have confirmed early reports of AH-64 Apaches strafing crowds of Christians that have gathered in large numbers if they appear to be armed.

Sweat trickled down Lieutenant Frank Norton's face as he peered out of his cockpit. The pilot of an AH-64R Cobalt Apache, his view of the world was only the green, murky images passed through his nightvision equipment.

"Do you see them?" he asked his gunner, Lieutenant JG Shannon Arledge.

"I think so... come about bearing 158 mark 332." she said, studying an infrared scan.

They, along with another 15 Apaches, were investigating reports of a roving Christian mob in the area, more members of the Church of Eternal Salvation. According to thier briefing, the mob burnt down a Jewish farmer's house, killed the farmer, and raped the daughter. The farmer's wife escaped and called the local police, who called the Mayor, who called Admiral Rachel Garrett aboard the CNS Valley Forge, who was now apparently in charge of everything. Admiral Garrett had ordered the Marine detachment at Kearond Colony to send out some choppers and take of it, and so now, as the final result of all that, 16 Apache Attack Helicoptors were searching the outskirts of the capitol of Kearond Colony for some kind of armed Christian mob.

"Yeah, I've got them. Alert the rest of the squadren, we've found them." said Arledge.

She watched the mob, who seemed to be gathered around somekind of fire, as Norton called the other 15 Apaches to thier location.

"The reports were right, they look armed." she said nervously.

William O'Hardy sat on the soft, yielding grass and enjoyed the soft blowing of the night wind as the fire they had set up crackled before him. He and his companions, loyal servants of The Lord, were stopping to rest in thier work.

Armed with only the light armaments of farmers and safety minded citizens, they had cut a wide swath tonight through the Jewish families that farmed on the outskirts of the city. They did some things that none of them were proud of - yes, some people were shot, and yes, farmhouses were burnt down, but there was no killing, no violence, unless it was absolutely needed. O'Hardy had shed tears earlier for a young girl that he had shot - he thought that she had a gun, but it was only a broom. He had tried to save her, given her mouth to mouth, pumped her chest in an effort to save her, but he could not. He only hoped that God would forgive him for his mistake and that He took pity on the poor, misguided soul of the girl.

It was poor, misguided souls like the girl though, that had caused this whole state of affairs. Cardinal Charles Fiennes had always taught his followers not to hate thier fellow men and women, and try to save them if they were of the wrong faiths, save thier souls from thier own ignorance. But now, Cardinal Fiennes lied in a hospital bed - poisoned by the Jews. Cardinal Fiennes' daughter, Nancy Fiennes' had told them of the massive Jewish conspericy against her father, and against Christians everywhere. And that was that. The Jews had to be stopped, revenge had to be taken - it was the will of God. If Cardinal Fiennes was able to speak, O'Hardy was sure that he'd approve, but since he was still bedridden, Nancy Fiennes' had approved, encouraged, and blessed thier crusade on his behalf, God bless her soul.

O'Hardy tossed another stick into the warm fire as the people around him began to notice a sound. Frenzied activity began as a few recognized the sound for what it was.

"Listen, listen!" shouted one man, pulling a handgun from his coat.

"They're coming!" yelled another man, pulling a shotgun out of his sleeping bag.

O'Hardy strained his ears until he could hear it too. Just over the crackle of the fire, a there was a slight noise. A repeating, deep 'whoop-whoop-whoop'. The sound of air being forced away by rotor blades. The sound of helicoptors.

"Get ready, they're coming!" yelled a woman. "Everybody up, they're coming! Get ready to fight, stand up to your foes, and God shall deliver us!" she continued.

O'Hardy stood up and reached into his sleeping bag to withdraw his semi-automatic AR-15, probably the most lethal weapon that was carried amoung their group. As he began to search the sky for the source of the whooping helicoptor blades, he noticed a small, far away flash of light to his left. The woman that had been yelling earlier then exploded, cut into ribbens. Before O'Hardy could even register the shock that was traveling through his mind, he saw more and more of his companions simply vanish, cut into pieces as the ground around them was chewed up by cannon fire and the explosions of rockets turned night into day.

O'Hardy managed a horrified expression on his face before he too was cut down by automatic cannon fire. Nothing of him larger than a dinner plate remained after his corpse was struck by a 30mm rocket.

A Boeing 757 military aircraft along with three C-130 Hercules transports are prepared for take off on separate airstrips. Supplies are loaded on and troopers from the First and Second Divisions of JRV’s National Guard assemble at the airbase. The 757 has been equipped with special broadcasting equipment and it is planned to beam down soothing songs. Copies of the Good News Bible are also packed into crates, along with pamphlets on the importance of loving thy neighbor.

Wide spread Christian protests are breaking out all over Kearond Colony today, on the second day of martial law. Admiral Rachel Garrett, who is now in charge of managing and containing the crisis, has ordered that all Jewish or other persons that feel threatened by the current religous violence be afforded guarded shelter by local governments. Cities in northern Kearond Colony complied by allowing Jews to take shelter in civic centres, musems and other government buildings as protests broke out in the previously peaceful north.

Kearond Colony, home to more Christians than any other member of the Democratic Colonies, is now in a state of emergency as Christians all over the colony, sympathizing with the Church of Eternal Salvation and angry over the Colonial response against them, have taken to the streets.

Lieutenant Colonel Johnson gazed out of a window; they were entering Colonial airspace. They were entering chaos. He glanced at his chrono and sighed. In little more than 10 minutes they would be touching down in Gidious City. His troops had never dealt with anything quite like this before, put down a few riots in JRVians cities and the provinces but they were relatively small offers in comparison to this and easily dealt with. Religious conflicts were quite uncommon in the Republic and the very seldom became violent. Around him his men were chatting, eager for action – full of excitement and anticipation. There was a sudden ping and the captain’s voice came over an intercom.

“We are preparing to land.”

Holy Republic aids The Colonies


Christian Inquisitors arrive in the democratic colonies along with 1000 men to attempt to bring calm to the religous crowd and root out heretics who were deemed responsible for the anti semticism two days ago. A group of Inqusitors arrived after hearing martial law being declared. "It is embrassing, to see the democratic colonies being forced into military rule. I am also disgusted by our follower's zeal." Also there was some matyrs among the christian crowd, several of the protesters took the sword of the hospitallers from the Inquisitors and stabbed themselves to create a revolution in the colonies. Currently the Inqusitors have place over 50 ringleader in trial and awaits final word.

The Xenonian people are dissapointed, although admittedly not surprised at the escalation of tensions between these two Religious groups. (Do not consider this comment an attack at your ablities to guarantee the safety of your people, merely that nothing can keep these groups apart.) Xenonier, as always, is disgusted that these groups cannot solve their problems peacefully, but due to public vote, is not allowed to offer military support unless the situation worsens.

* Rural Kearond Colony, 4:03 PM, Day Two of Martial Law *

Eight hours. 480 minutes. God knew how many bloody seconds. That was how long it'd been since anyone'd heard anything from the Jewish shelter that had been set up at the North-East Kearond College of Temporate Ecologies, there hadn't been any communications since then.

The North-East Kearond College of Temporate Ecologies, often called NEK-TEC by its students despite the best efforts of the dean to discourage them from doing so, was often said to be one of the most attractive and well designed colleges in the Democratic Colonies. Students attending often could be found lounging in deckchairs by the beach, taking advantage of the college's location on the shore of Lake Clarkson. The lake added to the generally relaxing atmosphere that was welcome by the hard working, fun loving students of the institution. Today, ofcourse, no students could be seen enjoying the sun inbetween classes. Today, the only things on the beach were corpses rotting in the hot afternoon sun.

The UH-60 Blackhawk swept low over the surface of Lake Clarkson, stirring up a fine mist as it roared towards NEK-TEC.

Lieutenant Colonel Gary Maddison held his AR-22 DCV assualt rifle tightly in his hands as his helicopter approached the college turned shelter. Maddison, 95 other members of his Navy Lancer spec-ops unit, and a squadren of Apache helicopters had been dispatched to check on the shelter. With no communications for so long, some had assumed the worst. As Maddison's Blackhawk came close enough for its occupents to see what had happened, those that had assumed the worse were proven right.

Chainlink fences had been errected to protect the college, but in one area towards the south, the fences had been torn away. The bodies of dead police officers in riot gear were scattered near the breach, with the bodies of Colonial Marines armed with rifles resting further into the campus grounds. The dull black and grey of the military urban camouflage nearly blended in with the large puddles of darkend blood that had pooled around the breach in the fence line - while there were many dead police and military bodies lying in the sun, there had to be atleast three times as many dead civilians lying lifeless as well.

"Looks like the Christians got in." said Maddison's second in command, Major Grace Rickaby.

"Looks that way." said Maddison stonily. A voice crackled over thier radio headsets as thier helicopter continued to circle. It was Major Brett Hudson, a Lancer on another Blackhawk.

"We've got... ahh... looks like friendlies ontop of the library, possibly alive." he radioed, his voice distorted by static and interference. "I think the Christians messed them up pretty bad, sir. They... ah... they've been crucified."

Lt. Colonel Maddison's heart began to race as he heard the Major's words. Crucified? thought Maddison to himself. No. That has to be a mistake. That... that's insane. Apparently, his second in command agreed, because it was she that spoke into her helmet radio first. "This is Rickaby, request confirmation on that last transmission." She said stiffly. At Maddison's order, the Blackhawk had already begun to fly accross the campus to the library as Major Hudson repeated himself.

"This is Hudson, I am repeating, there are friendlies - repeat friendlies, some of them appearing to be alive, on the roof of the library. They have been crucified - repeat, nailed to crosses. Do you read me?" he asked.

There was a moment of quiet as the only noise heard was the deep, throaty noise of the Blackhawk in flight. Horror coursed its way through Maddison's body as he heard the confirmation. Horror was then replaced by fear. Fear was then replaced, slowly at first, by anger. Anger at those who'd done this. The deepest, purest, rawest of angers.

"Rodger that Hudson, we read you five-by-five." replied Rickaby coldly. She turned, glanced at Maddison. Maddison saw in her eyes the same intense anger that he was feeling.

"All personel, weapons hot. Repeat, weapons hot." radioed Maddison, not taking his eyes away from Rickaby's face. As acknoledgements and confirmations were radioed back to him, he watched her chamber a 7.62mm round into her assault rifle and with a flick, switch it from 'safe' to 'auto'. She had a pained, murderous glint in her eyes.

The roof of the college library was a smooth, white surface. Placed in the middle of it was a large glass pyramid that allowed natural light to flow into the building, but aside from, that, it was a totally flat roof. As the now assembled 12 Blackhawks and 16 Apaches flew over the library, the noise was nearly deafening on the roof, where as Major Hudson had reported, dozens of people were crucified. A few wore the battle uniforms of Colonial Marines, thier armour long since stolen from them. More of them wore police uniforms, and a few were dressed in the dark, conservative suits that most agents of the Colonial Security Bureau wore, but the majority of the dying men and women on the roof, in the shining sun, wore the everyday fashions of regular citizens.

"Go Goddamn it, go!" shouted Maddison over his helmet radio. He was standing on the roof of the library, AR-22 DCV held up to his shoulder, as other Navy Lancers fast-roped down to join him. The thundering of the helicopters around him, Maddison swept his rifle over the roof, covering those that were still fast-roping down. The rifle, a 12 pound beast that fired 7.62mm rounds and had an underbarrel shotgun, was heavy in his arms, but in the middle of all this, he found the weight to be strangely reassuring.

As the last of the Lancers landed and the Blackhawks again began thier orbits around the library, Maddison ran over to a victim of crucifiction. He took her pulse, a young woman wearing a T-shirt that said 'NEK-TEC Bio-Diversity Studies'. She was alive, although she seemed to have lost alot of blood.

"Hey God boy... eat shit." she said weakly. Her eyes closed, it seemed like she was confused and didn't know what was happening.

"Don't worry, I'm not one of Christians." said Maddison as he leaned over and aimed his rifle at the base of the cross.

"Wha-what?" she asked, now trying to open her eyes.

"Just hold still." said Maddison. "I'm about to collapse the cross."

He fired an 8 gauge explosive shell into the base of the cross. It cracked, and the cross began to fall over slowly. Maddison grabbed hold of it and gently lowered it onto the ground, where using a small powersaw, he began to cut off the heads of the massive nails that were driven through her flesh and into the cross.

"Who are you?" the girl asked.

"Navy Lancers." he replied as he paused to inject her with a powerful painkiller. "Are you Jewish? Is this why they did this to you?" he asked.

"No." she said. "I'm a Christian too... Yeah, I only go to chuch every once in a while... but..." she groaned in pain. "They didn't care, said that we were helping the Jews... Am I going to be okay?" she asked.

"You'll be fine." said Maddison, although it wasen't much more than a guess at that point. Taking hold of her left hand, he began to speak. "Now listen, I've sawed off the head of the nail on your left hand, but I'm going to have to pull it loose now. Just hang on."

The girl groaned in pain as Maddison pulled her hand free. Roughly the same sequence of events was being repeated all over the roof, but as Maddison finally had all of the student's limbs free from the cross, a radio transmission crackled into his helmet radio.

"This is Apache Flight-Leader, come in Lieutenant Colonel Maddison." the voice said.

"Go ahead." radioed Maddison as he bandaged the girl's wounds.

"We've got Christian fundies coming out of the campus cafeteria, they're armed with small arms."

"You sure they're Christians?" asked Maddison.

"Positive sir." radioed the Apache pilot. "They've got a big cross and a sign that says 'For Our Lord Jesus We Fight' They've taken a few shots at us, but nothing that's gotten through our armour. I don't think they can actually hurt us, not with what they've got."

"Weapons free, take them out." said Maddison bitterly. "Guns, rockets. Take them out. If they fire at you from inside of the cafeteria, take it out with Hellfire missiles."

The reply of the pilot over the radio was drowned out by the explosions and gunfire that could be heard coming from the other side of the campus. Some of it might have been Christian small arms fire, but even if it was, it didn't have any chance of harming the Apaches. The Christians, unable to effectively fight back, were mechanically slaughtered by an enemy they could not harm. By the end of it, some of them were raising thier arms in surrender, but they were cut down anyways - their surrender couldn't be clearly seen over all of the dirt thrown up and smoke generated by the fire from the helicopters.

Eventually, over one thousand Christian fundamentalists were killed by the fire of Apache helicopters.

There was not enough room on the Blackhawks to transport both the Navy Lancers and those that had been rescued from crusifiction, so it was decided that the Blackhawks, escorted by the Apaches, would fly those that had been rescued first back to a military camp that was a very far distance away. A return flight to retrieve the Lancer team would occur later, but for the time being, they were to simply search the heavily vandelized college campus for any other survivors, although none were expected.

A heavily wounded woman, unarmed and unable to move, was found in one of the dorms. The former inhabitiants of those dorms had been earlier lined up and shot when the Christians broke the perimeter. The Lancer that had first found her had believed her to be a surviving college student, but he was sorely disapointed when she said that she had stormed the college with the other fundamentalists.

She was saying that it was her religious duty, explaining to the Lancer why she did what she did when he fired an 8-gauge shotgun blast from his AR-22 DCV into her head. No one asked the Lancer why he felt that the wounded woman in bed was so large of a threat that he had to use lethal force on her.

Somewhere in Gidious City...

“Get the heathens! Get the heathens!” A crowd of around two dozen men and women charged at an RNG unit of ten. Being pelted with stones and other hard objects, the soldiers had time only to fire off a few rounds at their assailants before they were inches away from them. Private Temple released his rifle and began running for his life as rioters overcame his unit. There were too many of them, armed with large pieces of wood and goodness knows what else they were utterly clobbering his comrades. Temple didn’t gaze back, he just kept running until the screaming and shouting faded into the distance.
Night was falling on the city and it was important that he found some way back to base camp before they caught up or some other fanatics emerged. Temple reached for his handheld communications unit; the battery was dead.

Suddenly the rumble of an engine could be heard. Not taking any chances, the private dived into an ally way and lay down.
“If you see any more of those Christian mother f*%<&^$, shoot them on first sight.”
He breathed a sigh of relief as the friendly voices echoed with the engine.
“Private 54231, JRV Republican National Guard!” He cried, hoping to god they wouldn’t shoot.
Bright spotlights shone down the ally and he slowly got up, two Colonial Marines stood in front, their rifles trained on him.
“You’re from Unit 4?” One of them asked.
He nodded and the men laughed.
“I think you just got your first taste of what we’re up against, boy. Let’s get out of here…”

“All right listen up.” Lieutenant Colonel Johnson paced up and down at the front of a large room in which around 10 of his top commanding officers had gathered. “These people know one thing and one thing only, that’s violence. That’s bloodshed. They are armed and they are deadly - we are not just up against ordinary rioters. We are up against insurgents. Which means we’re gonna have to put a stop to this sissy, let’s go easy on them, liberal crap you were taught back home.” He snickered.


“The Colonials have got it right, we’re just gonna have to follow their lead. From now on I want to some fierce, hard ass fighting. I have today requested that Task Force Two be brought in and Chancellor Garrison has granted the final orders. This is war, urban war.”

Radlett finds these actions by the Christians disgusting and barbaric, and we condemn them severely. Our Head of Church, Cardinal Brian Woolsey, will drop into your country to try and deter these fanatics. With a large Jewish population herself, our state sympathises with the victims and offers them shelter and accomodation at any time. Several transport vessels are on full standby.

A large Base Camp is established on the outer parts of the city, which are strongly controlled by the Allied Forces. Reinforcements and supplies are directed there.

C-130 Hercules and other aircraft are routinely flown out from Sophia airbase for the Kearnod Colony. A further 200 Republican National Guards backed up by armoured vehicles begin arriving.
Meanwhile, the small Invincible-class aircraft carrier Gloria sets sails out from Patricia Harbor Naval Base on the Eastern Coast of JRV. The 209 meter vessel carries onboard an extra 400 troops for deployment at the Kearnod Colony and a team of five Boeing AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopters.

The situation has vastly deteriorated to insurgence, with Colonial and Republican soldiers locked in deadly urban street combat against Christian fundamentalists… at least 30 JRVian troops have been killed and many others wounded or missing.

First Lieutenant Edwards gazed up at the sky. Where the hell where they? He was crouched down behind a truck that had been tipped over on its side in an explosion. Kneeled beside him were Privates Temple, Gregg, and Murray - each clutching tightly their SIG 550 assault rifles. The injured Captain Jefferson rested against the cab of the truck, he was in desperate need of medical attention. Several bodies of fellow RNG’s lay not far away. The rest of the unit had been scattered; they were in an area full of snipers and could not afford to move an inch more. Gunfire rang through their ears. Edwards breathed heavily into his headset, getting more anxious by the minute… ”We need that airsupport now! Where is it?”

Off the coast…

Commander Benson paced up and down the bridge of the Gloria. Smoke could be seen rising high into sky, and it was made clear of the chaos that lay onshore. A radio burst to life in the background… “This is Lieutenant Colonel Jon Johnson. You are clear to deliver airsupport. Repeat, you are clear to deliver airsupport.”

Third Lieutenant Lowe leaned over to pick up the receiver. “Copy that…”

Flight deck…

ATC: “Flight 1A you are cleared for launch.”

With one final take-off clearance from Air Traffic Control, the mighty turboshafts fired into action and the great blades began spinning.
The Apache helicopter lifted off from the carrier’s flight deck and headed towards the city, where ground forces had been engaged in fierece firefights in the Central Business District. Christian insurgents had RNG pinned down and had reportedly captured a number of buildings in the vicinity. Lieutenant Commander Davison circled his aircraft over the area. ”There they are…” He muttered to his CPG, Brash. "Behind the truck…"
As they circled the block, insurgents on the ground rushed to find cover, a few brave soles, praying that God would give them guidance, trained their rifles on the passing helicopter and opened fire. Several volleys of automatic cannon fire rained down on them in rapid response. A few shots struck the Apache’s bottom part, but little damage was inflicted. “Crucify this, you bastards” Brash exclaimed as they came round for a second flyby. “Locking on to target. Target locked.” With that, an entire building lit up down the street from where the three RNG’s crouched as two Hydra 70 rockets were fired…

Carefully getting up to see the extent of the damage, Edwards and the others could not help but cheer. The Apache opened fire on several more buildings on the block and continued circling – providing cover as armoured personnel carriers are rolled out in to the area which had been reduced to flames and smoke. Injured insurgents fell out onto the streets, putting down their weapons and waving in surrender. Troopers quickly rushed to surround them with rifles. Edwards stumbled up and signaled to a patrol unit nearby. “Private 54222, JRV Republican National Guard!”

The badly wounded Captain Jefferson was placed on a stretcher and taken off by ambulance. Across the street a number of insurgents were being rounded up. With rifles trained upon them they were forced kneel down on the ground and place their hands firmly on their heads. Edwards glanced over and snickered to Gregg, "They're finally cracking, Bible thumping bastards.".
"God bless the heavy fire power... and the lack of it." Uttered Gregg.

Turning away, the men jumped into the back of a waiting personnel carrier and headed back to Base Camp with the others.

Yes, please do. Personally, I had expected more involvement in this thread by now. I'm actually quite suprised that the Alliance of Christian Nations hasen't taken any action.

The Federation of Northern Colonies is disgusted to the attidude of the Christian Fundamentalists. We would like to help the Democratic Colonies by sending 6 agents from the Counter-Terrorist Unit, our national agency for situations like this.

Eight hours. 480 minutes. God knew how many bloody seconds. That was how long it'd been since anyone'd heard anything from the Jewish shelter that had been set up at the North-East Kearond College of Temporate Ecologies, there hadn't been any communications since then.

And so, the 6 agents sent by the Northern Colonies, flying in the Gulf Stream, courtesy of the NC Air Force. A few hours had already passed on the trip and they were getting closer to the Democratic Colonies' International airport.

Aboard, was Lead Agent Thomas Nguyen of the NCCTU. He was heading the contingent, and was in deep thought of what of happening, until we was interrupted.

"Sir, we getting ready to land. You should put your seatbelt on," said the voice.

At that, the agent leap froward in fright, until he realised, it was just Flt. Lt. John Evans, the Air force person in-charge of their safety. He was a Air Special Forces officer, but did not look like one. He was relatively fat and not all that smart. But he could shoot a M4 extremely accurately. The 5 other Air Special Force solders were already on a seat.

The landing happened smoothly, and soon the 6 agents,6 Air Special Forces, and 2 pilots, left the airport in the cars they were provided.

As ordered, I and the forces under my command have put an end to the Fundamentalist Christian uprising in Kearond Colony. Although it was much more difficult then anticipated, and many incidents that normally would require investigation by the JAG Office took place, it is my opinion that the operation was a relative success. The primary objectives, the reinstatement of security and the systematic elimination of Fundamentalist Christians or probable Fundamental Christians were both acheived.

As is visible on the casualty chart, losses suffered by Colonial personel were quite severe, although the Fundamentalist Christans suffered far worse. For all intents and purposes, the problem of radical Christian growth in the Democratic Colonies has been solved.

Although the majority of Operation Underdark was conducted using standard combat Rules of Engagement, there were a large number of incidents during which unusal circumstances called for unusal, perhaps questionable action by Colonial personel. While some of the following activites occured with my full knowledge and consent, others were only made known after the fact.

- Use of M1A2 Abrams Tanks to kill rioting Christians occured atleast 8 times
- Firing into crowds of protesters inwhich only a minority of protestors were violent occured atleast 4 times
- Field Execution of captured Fundamentalist Christans regularly occured without proper protocol being followed
- Shooting of surrendering Fundamentalist Christians occured atleast 48 times
- Shooting of wounded Fundamentalist Christians occured atleast 125 times
- Use of heavy munitions, ie cluster bombs, napalm or artillery bombardments against mixed violent/non-violent targets occured atleast 20 times
- Serious abuse of captured Fundamentalist Christian prisoners occured atleast 15 times

I would advise that these incidents, which have already been classified Top Secret, remain classified and out of public and international view for the indefinate future. If the knowledge of some of the more questionable actions taken by Colonial personel during Operation Underdark were to be made known to the international community, the results would be undoubtedly damaging to the Democratic Colonies.

Aid by nations friendly to us during Operation Underdark were as effective as I hoped, paticularly the units sent by The Republic of JRV. Easily integratable communications and logistical systems led to a highly effective partnership during Operation Underdark. Colonial forces report no incidents of questionable or unusual action by assisting forces, although in some cases, they were more reluctant to open fire upon targets of opportunity then thier Colonial counterparts. Nontheless, in my opinion, the presence of foreign troops both helped create an atmosphere of international legitimacy and concern, as well as served an effective military role.
