Tyrandis

OOC: Continued from my previous assault. Since DA was axed, I'm going to RP the brutal annihilation of each and every one of his citizens in Angola.
IC:
"All the way!" shouted a tank gunner as he unleashed an APFSDS round from the 135mm ETC gun mounted on his Merkava Mk. V MBT. The round whistled through the air, lancing through its victim, a T-98W in the service of the few resisting DA forces. Within seconds, the target exploded in an awe-inspiring fireball that lit up the cold night sky.
It had been an almost ridiculously easy campaign. Gross overestimation of enemy force strengths had resulted in an armored offensive that lasted mere days, slowed only by the poor quality of the roads. Spearheaded by the 43rd Colonial Armored (Mech.) and the 72nd Colonial Airborne (Air Assault), an army of over five hundred thousand Tyrandisan personnel swept into the abandoned colonial territory of Angola, kicking ass and taking names on a march that ended with the southern border of the country. Everywhere the conquerers went, non-DA citizen civilians came out from their dilaphlated villages, welcoming the advancing 1st Colonial Army as the Decisive Action authority retreated.
A fist of steel and manpowder smashed through the weakly manned border defenses within two days, although a great deal of credit was due to the 145mm Centurion artillery divisions that had poured over 800,000 shells of varying types into the country, setting it ablaze in flame and death. The sounds of dying DA soldiers pierced the skies as they tried vainly to retreat, and for good reason. There was no quarter given by the oncoming invaders, as they took no prisoners and gave no mercy. Any and all Mississippian citizens caught in the pincers of the 43rd and the 72nd were swiftly dealt with by firing squad or worse.
In fact, the fate of the captured soldiers and civilians was far better than that of the political prisoners and their families. As soon as it was convienent, the captured DA prisoners were herded like cattle into camps, then forced to dig their own grave. When they reached six feet, the men, women and children were then pushed into the massive pit by bayonet-wielding MPs, who then doused the entire contraption with kerosene and alcohol. From there, a flag officer threw a match and sent the condemned to their rightful place in hell.
Of course, as news of the massacres spread, the panicking population tried to flee the country by boat or air. These refugees were quickly intercepted by Seawolf SSNs, who had been lying in wait for several months. As soon as they reached 20 km off the coast, the submarines brought death to the untold numbers of people, sinking ships and downing aircraft by the hundreds. When it was realized that the Tyrandisans would not let them flee, a pitiful effort at repelling the oncoming army was launched. In response to the futile efforts of resistance, a Final Solution to the Inbred Problem was uncovered. As soon as a single person in any town tried to attack a Tyrandisan soldier, a full two thousand infantry would come to the city and slaughter its inhabitants to the dogs, beheading them all. Videotapes of the executions was taken for the final estimate on the grievous toll that the forces of the Militant Imperium brought to the people of DA-controlled Angola.
Ultimately, over 60,000,000 citizens of Decisive Action were slaughtered through the course of the war.
After some days, an uneasy order was restored, as the pathos brought by the incredible bloodshed cleansed the country of its vile population of inbreds. A provisional authority was established, and a new army base was constructed at the capital of Luanda. This new nation's future was still uncertain, but the foundation was laid for the healing to begin.
But first, judgement on the leaders of this corrupt country would have to pass, as the former governor of Angola was captured in the siege of the capital. His death would be a sight to behold, for it would be shown to the world that the Militant Imperium of Tyrandis will no longer tolerate the rule of madmen...
