Important port-cities
Almost every city with a coastline has a port, but the most important port-cities are:
Gothenburg (the largest port in Kopparbergs), Sydby, Bygruva, Ystad, Umea and Kopparberg.


Geography
Plain lowland at the coastlines. Mountainous in the northwestern parts around Idre and Salen. There are four big islands outside the east coast.

Isle of Are
The largest island is Isle of Are, which is very mountainous in the central part. The town of Areby is a popular ski resort during the winter season. Molkestad is a very popular tourist city during the summer. Kopparbergs' third largest city, Sydby, is located on Isle of Are's southern tip.

Isle of Bohus
The smallest of the four islands is Isle of Bohus, which in fact consist of one larger island and a couple of smaller ones. Historically the population of Bohus lived on fishing, but today there are only a small part of Bohus' population that are fishermen.

Gruvon
On the second largest island, Gruvon, there are a lot of mining industries (extraction of i.e. iron, nickel, uranium and silver).

Baltic Island
Baltic Island is famous for the great weather during the summer, and the biggest city, Baltus, is a very popular place to spend the vacation.

Total area: 1,349,686 sq.km.

Slightly larger than Peru, Chad and Niger. About twice the size of Burma and Afghanistan, and about half the size of Argentina and Kazakhstan.

2% of the total population is in the Red military service, with another 3% in the reserves.
The Kingdom relays mostly on equipment of Russian, Swedish and Israeli design.

Kopparbergs' definitions of DEFCON levels
Defcon 1 = Highest level, country at war. Enemy troops are attacking our soul.
Defcon 2 = Country at war, but has no enemy troops inside the borders.
Defcon 3 = The risk for war is high. Highest level on border patrolls and such. Closed borders. Planes circulating 24/7.
Defcon 4 = A higher level on border patrolls. Leaves may be cancelled.
Defcon 5 = lowest level, peace time.

Governmental policies
§1 The Kingdom of Kopparbergs does not have chemical and biological WMD's and will never get such either.

§2 We will never ever negotiate with terrorists.

§3 We want to keep neutral, and do not want to be a part of any military alliance.

The third paragraph (§3) is withdrawn and delcared as void by the new Prime Minister Werner Moltov, Leader of Kopparbergs' Socialist Party (KSP).

It's kind of an economically non-military alliance in Earth V. It started in South America.

And, yes, we have sort of a peace now. But the relations are a bit frosty after the war (IC).

Updated. Added a third point under Kopparbergs' policies.

I've added Western Sahara to my Earth V holdings, and updated some defcon-levels. I have also changed the name of the King, because King Carl Gustav XX died in a car accident. His son Carl Oscar V is the new king.

Why not come to the beautifull region of Sweden. It should suite you. The headquarter is mostly in english, but det kan vara bra att förstå lite svenska :)

We tend to have mostly social-liberal countries. The headquarter page is relatively active, on average one post/day but has recently been more agitated.

Updated. It was a year since the last time...

There are three versions of the factbook now, this is the main factbook (links to the other two in the factbook).

Added some info about the geography, and the population in the larger cities of Kopparbergs.

I've also added info on the military (how many troops, logistics etc).

Kopparbergs' Socialist Party (KSP) has been elected to rule the country for four years. The party is somewhere in between communism and socialism. The power of the king is dissolved, and a Prime Minister is installed as the Head of State. The form of government is changed from absolute monarchy to constitutional monarchy.

The leader of Kopparbergs' Socialist Party, Werner Moltov, will be the new Head of State as Prime Minister.

The third paragraph (§3) of the governmental policies of Kopparbergs is hereby withdrawn and declared as void.

The Socialist Kingdom of Kopparbergs has applied for membership in the new alliance Union of Communist Nations (OOC: Link to thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=501884)).

The glory days of the King is now just a history – his power is dissolved, but King Carl Gustaf XXI will keep his title.

Kopparbergs are declaring war at the state of Icovir.
Casus Belli is the unprovoked attack against our ally TWSP.

If the pathetic nation of Icovir doesn't withdraw all of their troops from TWSP's borders, and officially declares that they made a mistake - within 24 hours - they will meet the powerful forces of Kopparbergs.

We are putting up a trade embargo against Laquasa Isle, prohibiting corporations in the Kingdom to do business with corporations in LI. We urge all other members of UCN to do the same. The embargo will exist until a peace treaty is signed between Chellis and LI.
