OOC: Alright, I've been reading "nineteen-eighty-four" by George Orwell and it inspired me to have a communistic-big-brother-esque state but I am on that thin line between staying as I am or changing to the big-brother state.

So, I'd like to ask the general public of nationstates their own opinion, should I stay as the oppressive monarchic-autocracy or should I enter of new age of even more oppressive communistic state.
Also, a bit of feedback with your answers would be nice but it's not nessecary, anyway, thanks for reading this post and cast your vote!

I did the exact same thing with one of my puppets. 1984 is an insanely fun book to read (or at least it was for me).

Animal Farm was good. I liked how the entire thing was the Russian Revolution, except with Animals. Was great.

To suddenly turn overnight Communist, although I couldn't give a damn about that.

2.) You better make sure that the inspiration for this is enough, because there's nothing worse than changing and then having to change back and explain things...

3.) Will you refit your army? If so, with Soviet equipment, as is standard for -most- communists ( I myself am turning to Israeli and some Soviet and British equipment)

1.) Yes, good point, I think that I'll resign after the revolt because that way because it'll be more realistic, a goverment wouldn't go "Hmm, revolt, better resign so the commies can take up the reins with greater ease" and remember, the goverment would use these alliances to inspire fear into the people. The alliances represented the will of the goverment, not the will of the people.

2.) Yes, I've thought about this extensively and I have decided I would really like a breath of fresh air, my lair in NS growing rather stagnant, the same old groups, the same old people (who I will stay in touch with) and the same alliances, it's all well and good but I've been a right wing evil bastard for two years, I wanna go left wing for a bit.

3.) With the communist equipment, I'm not too sure, I'll probably use your type of weapons (the bolt-actions ect. ect.) and some British and soviet but I don't know about Israeli, I might do simply because Sanctaphrax will knife me if I don't buy something from his store sooner or later! :p
