All Hail President Jack Kordo II!

Kordo
30-12-2004, 22:59
In response to the recent and bloody attacks on Kordo, and given the inability of the current bureaucracy to solve the mounting problems facing Kordo, President Jack Kordo II hereby declares the Legislative Branch: The Peoples Senate and the Council of One Hundred, dissolved indefinitely, and the indefinite suspension of Presidential elections or until a time when it is fitting and safe to hold these elections again.

This statement received only moments by KNN, has been authenticated by the government, and verified by the President himself much to the media's (especially this stations) surprise. While it is too early to say what the people's response will be, it is assumed that there will not be large scale outcry or violence to the extent of the rebellion (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=356829) earlier this year.

There is also no word from the Red Hand of Kordo, which continues to attempt resist the extremely popular current administration. However, based on past experiences, it is safe to say that the 'moderate' Socialist in the organization will begin a campaign made mostly up of hand ringing and moaning, while secretly ordering the hard core Communists of the orginization to step up their violent and totally unjustified campaign of violence against the general populance.

Note:
Legislative Branch
This branch is divided into two separate parts:
1. The Council of One Hundred
The members of this body are not elected, and are all representatives of the one hundred richest and most powerful families in Kordo. They have the most power, after the president, and are charged with shaping and creating policies, almost exclusively foreign, that will affect Kordo and its allies. The terms are life terms given to the family. If a family loses their position in the top one hundred richest families, their current repersentative is allowed to finish their life term, then the position is given to the other family.
2. The Peoples Senate
This senate of three hundred individuals is also in charge of creating domestic policies and ratifying or rejecting any (domestic) policies of The Council of One Hundred. It is made up of 150 elected officials, and 150 individuals picked randomly from every major field of employment by a special non-partisian committee made up of elected officials. All officials can serve up to ten, six year terms.
