Due to increasing geopolitical tensions within the region of Haven, and also in part because of war rumors within nearby nations, Kelanis is increasing its strategic deterrent force by a significant amount.
The following inventory changes have already been implemented. New silos and their missiles should be ready to go within a year.
25 MD330 'Emperor Leviathan' 135 megaton 3-stage thermonuclear warheads mounted on twenty-five individual ICBMs; planned increase to 50 (3375000 kT)
350 MD300 'Leviathan II' 35 megaton 2-stage thermonuclear warheads mounted on 175 ICBMs; planned increase to 400 (12250000 kT)
900 MD145 'Apogee' 70-kiloton thermonuclear warheads on thirty-five IRBMs (two warheads per missile); planned increase to 1,500 (63,000 kT)
3,600 MD250 'Imperator' 550 kiloton thermonuclear warheads on seven-hundred twenty ICBMs w/5 MIRV per missile; planned increase to 4,000 (1980000 kT)
526 AS-392 'Shiva' 60-kiloton thermonuclear warheads on SS-138 'Interloper' air-launched supersonic cruise missiles; planned increase to 700 (31560 kT)
1,920 SD50 'Sunspear' 250-kiloton thermonuclear warheads on 480 'Umbral II' submarine-launched ballistic missiles; planned increase to 2,000 (480000 kT)
1,000 NW3 'Scorch' low-yield high-intensity neutron weapons; planned increase to 1,500 (not factored into yield)
(OOC: There are more warheads than listed here, which are N-O-T factored into the final yield- they just weren't increased. Those not listed include nuclear gravity bombs, SRBMs, MRBMs, orbital nuclear weapons, and surface ship weapons.)
Total nuclear force yield: 18,179,560 kilotons/18179.56 megatons/18.18 gigatons
Total planned nuclear force yield: 23,597,000 kilotons/23597.00 megatons/23.597 gigatons
