Associated Press: Unexpected Annexations After Secret Talks With Floridian And Domminican Governments

Havanna, Cuba, USSNSR (AP) -- In an unexpected turn of events forces of the USSNSR Army and Marine Corps have been moved into the territories known as Florida and Eastern Hispaniola. This move has come after a lengthy series of, until now, secret discussions between the Neo-Soviet Russian government and groups holding sections of each territory.
It is expected though by the government as well as a number of third party analysts, that even with negotiations having apparently gone successful, there will be the possibility of infighting within the territories. More so Florida due to the state it has been in ever since the territorial government fell and the area went into a bit of 'tribal anarchy', as stated by analyst George Mirch. Some think, due to the number of parties, that this acquisition could be a mistake due to a distinct possibility of guerilla warfare by warlords and their factions unwilling to relinquish control over their portions of the land. Analysts think though that problems within the Demonincan Republic will be few due to known histories with Communist Louisiana and more current Neo-Soviet Russia.
Unnamed sources have also told us that the number of troops moved are between three and five million with deffinant one million have been moved into Eastern Hispaniola. Unfortunatly as of now we are unable to gather exact numbers nor divisions. What is known though is that the quick deployment was made capable due to an already hightened state of readiness due to world happenings, closeness of the two areas, and acquisition of territory purchased from the nation of Golencia.
Reasons for this sudden expansion are unknown. Currently the government has said little though it is expected a press release will come within the coming hours if not a speech by the Premier himself.

OOC: The world relation is with that of Communist Louisiana, Aztec National League, and others. As noted before within the post, a nation along the name of Facist Florida (if i'm correct) was accepted as having Florida within our little world. He has gone inactive for...a while. This is a start. This should expand into something where forces will have to see some action against groups raising up in defiance. Call this merely a foothold to something larger.
