The region of Southeast Tropics, thought relatively small, is incredibly devout in old religions, making it politically liberal, but economically conservative.

At exactly 12:01 AM on Dec 18th, during the beginning of WintersEve celebrations, the national tree to be light was somehow rigged with heavy duty explosives. 240 people were killed instantly by the blast, and 3100 citizens were hospitazlied, as many as 500 died on arrival. Exactly 10 minutes following the explosion as the Reigning Monarch Harold IV was assembling his advisors, he was apparently assassinated in his own office with a bullet to the head.

The nation is in termoil as a radical atheist group begins to grab ahold of the people's attention, claiming Amgardia is too religious and must be broken from "the shackles of doctrine and ritual into a new economic liberty". Shortly after, Parlaiment was gathered to discuss the situation and appointed Executive Remy Norris as a temporary leader. The holy church's Pope, Jean Claude X has declared a war on the "heretics", assumedly refering to this new atheist terrorist group, shortly before suffering a minor heart attack.

Riots and political assassinations are running rampant across the island of Amgardia Wimbleton, and representatives are sending out pleas to nearby nations to provide a form of aid to find a stable solution, and military action has not yet been ruled out.

"President" Charleston was awoken by one of his top aids. He put on some clothes and stumble through the passage behind the mural of Our Lord and Savior, into the strategic breifing room. He tried to peel his eyes wide enoguh to focus them on his minister of forieg affairs, Allen Rodgers.

"We have recieved a report of a terroist situation in a small land called 'Amgardia'. They are requesting aid, not neccesarily military, although we've been waiting to perform a crusade on the athiests. I recomend sending some humanitarian aide to protect them." reported Rodgers.

A general stepped out from a doorway to join the two men. "I believe", said General Wilson, "we should deploy aproximatly 10 platoons of marines to gauurd the area while our humanitarian workers setup facilities. If there is any actice terrorism we should be prepared to fight. With your permission I will deploy the 12th marine unit." he finished.

"Ok," said Charleston, "we will deploy humanitarian aid along with the 12th marines. I want you to give me a status report in the morning. Now, i'm getting back to bed."

"Goodnight sir," saluted general wilson. The president returned his salute.

"I'll have that report on your desk by 0600" said Rodgers.

"Make that 0700," corrected Charleston, "Goodnight."

“Thank you, Sub-Commander, you may be seated.” Said Director-General Davis

The Sub-Commander of the OIS's Law Enforcement Command moved to retake his set at the table, after finishing up the report on his command

“That concludes the section reports, what do we have on the International Relations front?” asked Davis

Sub-Commander Erwin, head of the OIS External Intelligence branch stood and approached the front of the room.

“Well, sir, things have been pretty quiet lately. About the only thing I’ve got for you is a smaller nation, named Amgardia Wimbleton. They’ve recently been experiencing terrorist strikes. According to news media, the attacks are being conducted by a anti-religious, atheist regime, who seek to topple the religious oriented government, thus removing religion as component in the nations administration. SatRec picked up an explosion during what seemed to be a holiday gather in the capital city, reports indicate the death toll is well above 700, with well over 3 thousand wounded. Since we share a common background, religion oriented, we could gain a friend here with a supportive word, economic or military aid.”

“I see, well, we’ll need more information about their Church before we can discuss anything, send them a kind message requesting information about their religions, and eluding to the possibility of support. Though, for the time being military action is ruled out. No need to send Transnapastaini soldiers to die for a nation we’ve never even been involved with before today.” Replied DG Davis, thoughtfully

“Sir, if I may point out. Their nations leader and key political figures have been assassinated, or are in hiding due to fear of being assassinated. If we were to assist in the pacifying, and rebuilding of this nation, we could ensure a extremely friendly government was put into place, as well as place informants, electronic and human, with in the new government, thus allow us yet another avenue to gather intelligence.” Replied the Sub-Commander

“I see that, as well, Sub-Commander, however until we’re sure of their religious stance, we can not even presume military aid, The CGW would not stand to have Transnapastani fighters defending a nation of infidels.” Replied Sub-Commander Fires, head of the Internal Intelligence section of the OIS

“Of course, “interjected Davis, “We have the CGW by the throat by have had Executer Hesien put into power, but, I agree with SC Fires. We can elude to economic aid, but, until we can ascertain how their religion operates, we can not offer any military support.”

“Yes sir, I shall send the message at the conclusion of the meeting.” Said Sub-Command Erwin

Though the Amgardian Defense Agency isn't the foremost in the nation's religious structure, our explanation will be done to the best of our ability.

The national religion of Amgardia Wimbleton has been traced to before any
political system was present. It held the belief that the natural resources of the island were what make up everything living. This includes metals, non-metals, water, and various other components. It's a firm belief that inhibiting too much of one component will cause an imbalance of the spirit and a general decline in your self-worth in the eyes of God. This has been translated by religious scholars and the holy church to employ heavy conservatism on natural resources, so the consumption is "balanced". This leads, inherently, to a rather secluded economy only able to work effective through imported goods, yet employs a limited ammount of exports. This is one of the reasons we believe the terrorists attack the church yet declare they are fighting for a liberal economy. However, the opposite is true that outcry will occur if the church's doctrines are violated.

The church itself is controlled by a rigid structure of "Watchers" who regulate the market of certain foods and materials to an extent, which answer to Priests, Bishops, then finally the Pope himself. The church contains a doctrine of over 20 holy books detailing the exact nature of the religion. We have personally enclosed a copy of each for future reference at your leisure. Included are "Amgardian Bible" and "Turkey Stew for the Soul", among other books.

The OLS Ark and the OLS Bethlehem are being crewed and supplied to take 1000 people (including the marines) to Amgardia Wimbleton. Today we will be sending the a communication, a copy is attached, to thier realtions office to recieve the specifics of our service.

Foremost, your aid is greatly appreciated during this time of uncertainty and terrorism. As for landing procedures, attached is a geological landscape map which indicates the north shore would be the best location for landing your men. An inlet is located approximately 200km inward from the shore where 110km in, Fort Baxter is located. It's currently an inoperational fort, but can accomidate twice your intended number and is relatively far away from the current centers of conflict. The inlet is narrow, however, and Sea transports may require smaller apparatus to access the inlet. This location should be excellent for deployment and further operations. Currently 500 Amgardian special forces soldiers are being deployed to welcome your forces, and provide assistance where needed.

“Well, sir, the reports came back from Amgardia.” Reported Sub-Commander Fires, standing at attention in front of Director General’s massive oak desk. Oak, natural wood in general, was a rarity and comity in Transnapastain. Behind the desk, flanked by the nations flag, the Transnapastaini Eagle, on the right, and the OIS symbol, The All Seeing Eye of Osiris, with the eyeball surrounded by a 8 pointed star, sat to the left, sat a large “window” displaying a panoramic view of Transnapa City. While the image was in real-time, the window was false, simply a wall panel rigged to display 3-d pictures from cameras within the city. The view could be toggled at will. These “windows” helped elevate the claustrophobia inherent in working in an underground environment.

“Oh, and what do they say?” he asked

Fires handed him a PDA, Which Davis scanned quickly.

“I see, well, that’s very interesting…on the plus side they do seem to be monotheistic, which is all I really needed to know to push this through the council.” He paused. “I’ve already spoken with the Executer, and she has secretly authorized me to send some slush find money their way, say, 17 or 18 billion, and to deploy a Scorpion team as “ambassadors and observers.”

Fires nearly died laughing. “Scorpions! As Ambassadors?”

Davis smiled, “Well, no one need know the ambassadors sent are a Scorpion unit, now do they?”

“Reply to Amgardia, tell them we are willing to slide several billion credits their way, and, if they like, we are willing to deploy one of our elite commando teams to assist in whatever way necessary. Training, protection, you name it. Also, see if they’re interested in the purchase of any weaponry, I’m not sure what their mainstay assault rifle is, but we’ve got thousands of M-8A1’s around. Those cans can be re chambered from 5.56 NATO to 7.62 NATO in 2 minutes, in the field. Also, if they like, we’d be willing to supply them with the 6.8 NATO, not Directorate, rounds. See if they’re interested in aircraft, as well.” Said Davis

“Sir! Right away.” Said Fires, as he saluted and left the room

I’m positive the gun can be re chambered for 7.62, though its standard is 5.56
It can be changed from its battle rifle mode to the sharpshooter/MG/Carbine variant in the field, within 2 minutes, and its 40mm grenade launcher surpasses the M203 by leaps and bounds.

The Directorate, my region, has this weapon standardized for all nations living the region, and uses the 6.8mm Directorate Cartage.

The light of day shown over the port city of Normanston. Several ships were berthed along the water, including two antiquated transports. Several hundred men were boarding the long ramps to the interior. Men polished their weapons and cheacked their rations as they prepared to board. Several soldiers give hugs and kisses to their wifes and girlfreinds. The humanitarian aid workers, designated by their blue uniforms, finished their final checks on the supplies before they departed.

The ships left the harbor and hour later bound for Amgardia Wimbleton.
