New's Report by CINN, the Carthaginian Imperial News Network

At 10:28 A.M. Local Time, the Khush Nuclear Reactor outside of the city of Mumbai, the largest in our vast Carthaginian Empire, exploded. A massive cloud of radiation has already killed everything within 5 miles of the reactor, and it is believed that it will reach Mumbai itself within 5 more minutes. Already, 18,000+ are feared dead. Scientists predict that the radiation will reach the nearby states of Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh within the next few hours. Whisps of radiation could also reach as far as Delhi itself! As of this moment, the cause of the explosion is unknown, but the government will focus on trying to evacuate people before it begins a full-scale investigation.

News Update

It has now been 7 hours since the explosion and the chaos is complete. More than 1,000,000 people are confirmed dead, with estimates going as high as 30,000,000. The city of Mumbai might as well be swept off of the map, due to the fact that at least 99% of the population has died. Seeing how all that can be done has been done, the government has begun to focus on what could have caused the explosion.

Quite certainly sir. Look at the latest CINN Report:

The Death Toll has risen to over 100,000,000 and many times that of livestock. Entire Cities have been wiped off the map, and everything within 500 miles of Mumbai is deadly. Needless to say, Bollywood has suffered immensely, seeing how only 7 actors and 1 director survived. More to come in the coming days.

The NC-130H Glowing Hercules refueled and replenished its equipment. It took off heading to the east, flying from Ukraine to India. Aerial refueling would be given on the way from a Layartebian tanker out of Denmarck. The NC-130H would need a place to land in India and base its operations, somewhere safe. The skies that night were friendly and there was little severe weather along the trip. On board, the crew wondered, "What are chances of two reactor explosions this close? Don't these people know anything about plant safety?" They shared jokes at the expense of those they were helping.

The closest you can get without dying would have to be Karachi or New Delhi. We could refuel you plane mid-air for about 2 days straight, but then we have to wait at least 3 days to send oil to assist in the work on the ground.

We have a squadron of transports (12 C-130J) in the military airport in Lakshadweep, and are loading them with emergency aid (food and medical supplies) and health personell. As you may have heard, I have pledged $15,000,000 to assist in the rebuilding and medical aid of your great land.

I have also appointed the previous to leaders of this nation to go out and solicit our fine citizens for personal donations. I feel very confident that great amounts of money will come from this endeavor.

My Secretary of Nation flew over the devasted regions this morning and reported to me that, “I’ve been in war and I’ve been a diplomat ... but I’ve never seen anything like this!" From an altitude of a few hundred feet, not a standing tree or building was visible. City block after city block had been swept clean.

Our hearts and our prays will continue to flow to the families of those affected by this most horrific event.

IC: The C-130J aircraft approached the refugee camp set up outside New Dehli. It flew at an altitude of 100 feet, yet it wasn't going to land. The people in the refugee camp saw the greypainted plane come towards them.. it flew over them. They could see that the aft cargo ramp was open... suddenly the Hercules pulled up 55 degrees, releasing its cargo. It was Cottish MREs and pallets of water.

Soon after, another Hercules came over. And another. And another. In total, 12 C-130s flew over the camp, dropping food and clean drinking-water down to the refugees. This was just the first mission of the Hercules squadron stationed at Lakshadweep.

Soon, more food and water would be sent litteraly from heaven.

The three Merlin transport helicopters landed in the parkinglot at the Medical College in downtown Surat, which was used as a distribution central for the humanitarian aid in the region. They carried medical supplies and doctors.

http://www.mapsofindia.com/maps/gujarat/surat-city-map.gif

At the same time, another Merlin landed in Bollywood. A team of CSAR soldiers from the Cottish Navy dressed in NBC suits and armed with XM-8A2 PDWs (just in case) filed out and ran off to find the 8 survivors. They found them inside a studio which was apparently used in the film "Lagaan - Once upon a time in India".

The 8 survivors were wrapped in thermal blankets to try to isolate the radiation and virtually dragged back to the waiting helicopter. Well inside, they were sprayed with chemicals that washed off most of the radiation. Still, there were a lot left. They would have to spend a lot of time in the sickbay aboard the CCS Sudden, a Stinger class assault ship belonging to the Cottish Navy, which lay outside the Indian coast and coordinated the aide.
