CR-60 "Rampage" Rifle.

Objective: A cheap, extremely reliable, modifiable semi-auto rifle, easily purchaseable on the salary of even a jobless alcoholic or ex-mental patient.

The weapon basically looks like an M14 rifle with a durable polymer stock. The barrel is heavier, and the magazine/loading design has been made more intuitive. The weapon accepts all 7.62x51mm NATO and 7.62x54mmR Magazines (although the optimal caliber is 7.62x51mm NATO). Also, the sights are easy to use and are superior to the sights of the M16 and AK-47 due to precise machining and anti-deform metals in the sight system to prevent heat and age related warping. The weapon will fire even the if the chamber and barrel are clogged with mud/sand/snow or if submerged.

Cost: $250

OOC: Uhm a M-14 style rifle with machined parts for $250? The current retail price of a Springfield M-14 Standard issue rifle is $1200-$1400 at the local gun shop. How can you have machined parts, close tolerances, etc. done for $250 and still make some kind of profit?

The only gun I know of produced so cheap was the Sten and it was made from stamped sheet metal parts, hence the unreliable accuracy of the weapon out past say 50 yards.

Note I am not complaining, if this can be done then I will gladly buy some of your weapons, if you can tell me how you produced them so cheaply. The worst thing in the world is to have a gun in battle that won't function.

ooc: only the vital parts are machined, and even so, are much crappier than the standard infantry rifles used by my military. The tolerances are like AK-47 style (maybe better, with more effective modern machinery), but it's still, this is a rather basic weapon, any gunsmith can manufacture the tolerances tighter. The rifle should shoot only about 2 MOA without the sniper mod (which increases accuracy to about .5 MOA), which is WWII style accuracy.

Very well, we will take 20,000 units @ $250. We have several youth gun clubs that need a weapon to target practice with.

Total bill 5 million.

Wired upon confirmation.

They are cheap, which is pro. Also we could use them in gun training with our conscripts. We shall take 10,000 at $250.
