"Today Emperor Scorpius announced that the Imperial Parliament will be allowing men to take multiple wives. Parliament was also asked to get rid of marriage laws altogether, allowing everyone to marry as many people/things as they went, whether they be same sex or even a different species. The Emperor, however, refused this part, and is merely giving the limited amount of freedom for men to marry as many women as they want. Eventually, says liberal Parliamentary member Lord Maxwell Winter, the Emperor may budge and allow women to marry as many men as they want as well.
Several members of Parliament, like Cardinal James Kliptnock of the Risban Catholic Church, are outraged by this decision, claiming that a person should only have one partner.
We will set up an international poll to see what the public thinks of this."
