What does the NWO stand for?
New World Order.
No, I realized that, but what are it's values and such? Is it just a collection of allies? It is open to FT nations?

If possible, could you type up a brief desc. of your nation? We'd like to get to know your nation better. Also, include a RP or two that you'd like to flaunt, heh. If you don't have any though, don't worry about it.

OOC: What constitutes a "Junior Member" and what exactly is the purpose of the NWO?

(OOC) If I could tack on a question with Praetonia, how is a Junior member different than a regular member?

OOC: Two damn good questions. We don't seem to have come to an agreement over what constitutes 'Junior'as far as I can tell. However, from our initial discussions, and with DT on a break, I'd have to say that anything under 500 million in population. There will be some exceptions to this rule, decided on by NWO 'Senior' members.
The NWO itself is, as previously stated, a defensive alliance. We will protect our members to the last man, and not abandon them unless they attempt to take advantage of their situation (I.e., if you declare war on the world then hide behind us, we'll step aside and let the world kill you). But we are also more than that. ICly, we work for the betterment of member nations with increased trade benefits to members, diplomatic assistance where needed, and soon, hopefully, a launch of an NWO R&D department, for joint developments of military and civilian technologies by NWO members.
A large proportion of our members are also in some form of anti-genocide pact or another, working towards a brighter future for everyone, everywhere. The alliance is on friendly terms with NATO and the CFA, but current tensions between the NWO and the RWC mean that RWC membership will get you turned down for a place in the alliance for now.
We alsohave, for when things hit the fan big-time, the slightest hint of a Rapid Reaction Force, dedicated to getting forces into problem zones quickly, so if you ever get into trouble, help won't be far away.
OOCly, Junior membership gets you access to the brains of some of NS's old boys of RPing, so we'll help you if you need it, and we're a mostly friendly bunch.

OOC: To answer Tiborita's question:
The main difference is that you'll have access to a different set of forums. Once you reach a certain population level, and have proved that you are a valuable member, who can RP well, you'll be granted access to the Senior member boards. Very little else is different, although there are a few subtle differences in the rules, one key one being that it is easier to remove a rogue Junior nation than a Senior nation, and you will be watched far more by the NWO members if you are a Junior, just to make sure you aren't giving us a bad name.
I'm not the leader, I'm just trying to do my best here. You'd have to ask DT or Euro for definite answers.

Wait, let me or Aust answer the question. It was the RWC who came up with the idea chuckleheads
The idea behind junior member was to test and screen their abilities. Because the threshold was 500 million (also stolen) and sort of a border you cross does not mean you will automaticly become a full NWO eh... RWC member since your skill determines how fast you will become member. Promising players have a higher chance to be allowed in the NWO I mean RWC - damnit - than some big 3 billion n00b. It's kinda logical when you think about it and a good way to recruit young nations who like to be part of something good.
Other forums or lack of access to certain forums, hey that's also stolen from the RWC. What a second, we also had senior RWC members called 'Senior RWC'. Hey cool, we also had special clauses for junior members. If you remove NWO and replace it with RWC you'll have the same damn thing.
Smart move guys, steal someone elses idea's next time or at least tell us you couldn't think of something like this and had to rip it from the RWC.

OOC: Hey, we never claimed it was original. Just convinient. Someone put forward the idea of a Junior members section, and we threw it about a bit. I'm just bumping the thread. None of the terminology is fixed yet, since nothing has been set in stone just yet. Having read through your Junior thread, I took inspiration from it. Thing is though, this will probably change a lot before too long.
This idea was knocked about long before our alliances became unfriendly towards each other, back when I was in the ANP. Just so happens its only come out now. So get down of your high horse and put the toys back in the pram. Its a good idea, with a well structured layout. All credit to you for that. We're just borrowing it and changing it a little.

How coincident its also named 'junior member', and just about everything else is the same. Don't tell me Twist didn't know this, he should at least mentioned it was our idea. I bet if someone names his/her alliance NWO after this one collapses (again) he'll be the first shouting that it should be changed blah blah blah. I don't care if things are taken, you should at least show some decency of saying where you got it. We would have done the same.

OOC: Buddy, stop trying to shoot the messenger. I'm just a member trying to answer some questions. You obviously have a problem with our alliance, we all know that.
What would you prefer? NWO Initiates? In fact, that's pretty cool. Instead of Junior members, we'll now have Initiates. And we'll change the population to 501 million, and we'll have three seperate forums instead of two. One for Initiates, one for Initiates about to become Members, and one for Members.
As I tried to explain earlier, if you'd bothered to listen, we haven't come to, as far as I am aware, a definite conclusion as to how this will be organised. Its just a recruitment thread to see if we can get more interest.
Oh, and for your information, this alliance looks a hell of a lot stronger than yours. We haven't had members leaving left, right, and center.
Smart move guys, steal someone elses idea's next time or at least tell us you couldn't think of something like this and had to rip it from the RWC.
Stop hijacking this thread - particularly when your way out in left field.
The RGGA (Really Great Guys Alliance) had a junior member section long before the RWC existed...and no doubt that alliance used the idea from some long-forgotten alliance.
If you question this, ask Omz222 - he was one of the first members the RGGA accepted under the junior-member policy.

OOC: sorry about the lateness...
Full Name: Kingdom of Malkyer
Leader(s): Dayan Saarad (King), Daniel McFarbin (President), Cecil Howard (Prime Minister)
Government Type: Constitutional Monarchy
UN Category: Inoffensive Centrist Democracy
Political Freedoms: Very Good
Civil Rights: Very Good
Economy: Good
The Kingdom of Malkyer is a huge, safe nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, intelligent population of 701 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.
The large government concentrates mainly on Law & Order, although Defence and Education are on the agenda. The average income tax rate is 31%, but much higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Pizza Delivery, and Book Publishing industries.
Police officers are seen patrolling the streets armed with satellite-guided truncheons, bicyclists are banned from major roads, the death penalty has been reintroduced, and all tariffs have been abolished. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Malkyer's national animal is the horse, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the crown.

OOC2: I RP with my nation a little looser than that (police aren't all-pervasive, people can basically do what they want as long as the law isn't broken, stuff like that).
