In joint session less than two hours ago, the National Assembly and Consitiutional Court edited and approved a landmark piece of legislation which has been considered to be a "foregone conclusion" by many major Schultarian policy experts. This item, unanimously passed by the joint Legislative/Judicial session, has been dubbed as the "Pure Sight" Bill by its enthusiastic creators. The bill's message is as powerful as it is simple; for the first time in Schultaria Prime's 115 year history, the National Government and its subsidiaries will no longer document racial statistics in any capacity.
Designed to replace the long standing 100 year old "Equal Eye" laws, this piece of legislation will completely forbid any and all official government racial documentation. The authors of this bill: Chairwoman of the National Assembly Jenna Karlow, Consitiutional Chief Justice Samet Salen, and Central Director Elliot Schultz met in the Central Archives of Schultaria Prime to hold a press conference on this newest piece of legislation.
"Schultaria Prime has always been a landmark nation in the realm of civil rights and we feel that this bill will help to cement the nation's firm commitment to judge humanity as a species entire," Central Director Schultz said following the signing of the bill, "We should not look to the limitations of a person's lineage; instead our nation will focus it's attention on issues more pertinent to social discord in modern society."
When asked about the reasoning behind the bill's creation, an adamant Karlow replied with the following statement:
"Why would the one and three quarter billion people of Schultaria Prime want to pay money so they can be neatly divided into little ethnic groups?
Any issues regarding the repression of race are frivolous and, quite honestly, a waste of time and tax dollars to the Schultarian Public. The government is here to provide a decent standard of living to the entire population along with an environment which promotes a competitive environment in the workplace but with comfortable living standards. If we spend so much as a single merlon trying to divide our nation along these lines then we are spending too much."
