Every government ever created has had dissenting elements within it, that, regardless of whether or not they were detected, or even known of, plotted to manipulate the same government which they were a part of. They have been known as the Illuminati, the Stonemasons, the Shadow Government...

Story:

Kaiser Kuklinski woke up. Out the window, he could see that the day was going to be a bad one. The sky was a dark grey, as a terribly thunderstorm was passing over Attikstadt.

"Do you require anything, sir?"
"No, thank you."

As the day progressed, the Kaiser noted several oddities. His regular butler was replaced with someone else. Assuming that this was simply the reaction caused by his normal butler perhaps getting stuck in the storm, he continued his day as usual. His normal number of guards was also smaller.

At 3:00 AM, however, Kaiser Kuklinski was found dead in the Imperial Mansion, one bullet to the head, execution style. Currently, the RP (Rèchspolizè) and the RGD (Rèchsgehemdïnst) are both investigating this tragic murder.

King Sam MacDonald awoke from his bed. There was snow on the ground, and it hadn't been plowed or even sanded yet. He got up, quietly, so that Victoria could sleep. As he walked down the stairs, he looked at the entrance to his part of the mansion, and there was no guard. He knew something was wrong...

As the nation mourned for the loss of the Kaiser, Xavïr Brack watched the television with glee.

"So, the operation was a success?"
"So it would seem".
"How goes the second operation?"
"As far as we know, it is making prog--- hold on... we might have a problem. We are receiving reports of movement within the RGD..."
"Then shut it down."
"That might be unwise at this time. We may just arouse more suspicion within both governments."
"Fine. Abort operation 2. Have Jonas make a speech to the nation in 12 minutes. He is prepared."
"Affirmative."


---12 minutes later---

Jonas Blöch stepped up to the podium, where he knew billions of people from around Eropid were listening.

"7 hours ago, Kaiser Kuklinski was found murdered in the Imperial Mansion. Currently, RP and RGD officials believe that a reactionary assassin was able to break into the facility, and ambush the Kaiser when he was unguarded. As of yet, it is still believed that this assassin acted alone, on his own free will.

My employer, Xavïr Brack, expresses his deepest sympathies that he was not able to give this speech himself. However, he has stated that Brack International will be alleviating 50% of the cost for the Kaiser's funeral from the state."

King MacDonald was running back up the stairs, he yelled "Grab me my gun." He ran into the door to the room, and Victoria was waking with his UMP, and a vest with 6 magazines in it.

"Follow me" He quickly told her, he had the UMP clutched tightly in both hands.

Sam started walking slowly down the hall, he heard the unmistakeable sound of footsteps. He looked into a mirror, mounted on the ceiling, and he could see a man.

The man was holding a knife. Making a quick movement of his hand, Sam had Victoria hold back, as he went forward. The man then slowly looked around the corner, but the barrel of a UMP was there. A .45 hit the man in the head, he never knew what hit him.

Ryan McCulloch entered the Majestic Hall.

"I believe we may have a problem."
"What?"
"Our assassin went ahead with the plan."
"Shoot him. He disobeyed a direct order."
"It appears Mr. MacDonald has already done so."
"Damn. This could blow our cover. I want the organization put on full standby for the next day. All missions are hereby on standby as well, depending on nearness to completion. I also want both the Kahtan and the Attican Intelligence Communities either shut down or left in the dark about the important things."
"Fine."

Sam raced for the garage, Victoria closely behind him. He kicked the door, and it swung open, reaching to his left, he grabbed the keys to his Ford Expedition, and pressed the start button. It started up, and he continued to run, Victoria close behind.

As he neared the door, he pressed unlock 2 times. Grabbing the handle, he pulled it, and jumped in, putting the key in the ignition, then he shifted it into drive, and drove through the garage door...
