---From the New Stamford Courant---
Today, Mayor of New Stamford declared that an undisclosed number of Ohio class submarines have been sent to the islands of Barbados and Grenada with the intent of cutting off all sea contact. The New Stamford government has declared that Brabados and Grenada are to be annexed because of ceaseless drug and arms exports into N.S. territory.
"If the governments of Brabados and Grenada refuse to submit to N.S. forces before 5:00 PM Eastern time tomorrow, we will begin boming the capital cities of St. George's and Bridgetown withing one hour."
Although it is unknown exactly how many submarines patrol the local waters, it has been confirmed that over forty Black Hawk helicopters have been recently shipped to N.S.'s two islands, 30 to St. Vincent and 10 to St. Lucia. About two thousand troops are ready to be deployed immediately. As soon as the go-ahead is given, they will invade via C-17 cargo transport planes, hastily summoned to the islands.
"We don't want a war," said Mayor Steven, "But to ensure the continued saftey of New Stamford's citizens, we must stop the drug and arms runners, and we feel that direct rule over these islands is the best possible soloution. We WILL have these criminals subdued." The Mayor then did a backflip and jumped into a helicopter that swooped by, a classic Mayor exit.
