The House of Earls passed legislation requiring uniforms in all schools. The vote was 16-1. The uniform is made up as follows:
Male: (Pic) (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v495/juvanya/buni.png)
-Navy shirt and over shirt.
-Dark pants and socks.
-Black shoes.
Female: (Pic) (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v495/juvanya/guni.png)
-Navy shirt and over shirt.
-Pink/Purple Pants.
-Dark socks.
-Black shoes.
The HoE did not release any information on the motivation for this. It will be effective after Winter Recess on January 3, 2005.

In my opinion, school uniforms are a stifling way to hamper a teen's growing sense of style and creativity. On the other hand, it's also a way to maintain an order of authority in the minds of the students and show them who is in charge. Praise or hate, I choose neither. It was your choice, and every choice has its consequences.

OOC: Wow you really have no taste, Sel Appa.
Anyway... I live in a country that has school uniforms and they really dont enforce discipline or stifle creativity. it's just something to wear, and no one really notices. So this is kind of non-news.

I guess it really is just school uniforms, its not like people don't just change out of them once they get out of school, right? But if it doesn't matter that much, then why are you forced to wear them? Maybe its some sort of pride issue..
Nice, letting them decide what to wear is just giving them more freedom. I also suggest armmed guards and metal detectors at all the entrances.
If you're going for shock value with school uniforms, you're barking up the wrong tree. Aside from looking absolutely hideous, they lack the offensive capacity of say... religious oppression or ethnic cleansing (which are commonplace enough on NS to have significantly lessened their impact as well).
However, Urukku wholeheartedly requests that Sel Appa change the color of the female uniforms' pants from that seizure-inducing hot pink to a more calming blue tone. If it's not too much trouble.
and before i make this post i just have to tell everyon it is a joke, because it is absolutley propesterous.
Some nice mini skirts for girls will work too while were making hideous uniforms, must be leather though

The girls should have skirts which they hike up and turn mini in any case. Slags ;) or is that just what happens in the UK.....

Semi-OOC: The actual design is likely to be redesigned. The program I used didn't seem to have a skirt for girls, otherwise it would be there. I'll look again tommorrow. I didn't really like it either.

Here (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v495/juvanya/guni.png) is the best skirt I could find...could end up a bit revealing at times though.
This isn't exactly what they must look like though. They have to follow the written regulations.
