Soviet Russian News Network - Expansion Within The Pacific
News reports were already out about the purchase of Juristan Island or, to be more specific, the western coast of it, about the plans before that, about the Golencian statement that brought about the process. Now though was time to proclaim its being official. Official that another piece of land had went under the wing of the United Socialist States of Neo-Soviet Russia. Official that troops, any needed aid, and supplies would be deployed for the defense and updating of the newly acquired land.
Cameras were preparing to do their magic as makeup artists went to work on Julie Peterson and Austin Ghee. The first was a woman of late twenties and latin/european decent with green eyes framed by jaw-lengthed brown hair. The male was of Asian decent, thirty-four or so, with the typical dark eyes and black hair. Both seemed rather healthy regardless of makeup applied or not. Crews continued to work before a loud speaker came to life announcing fifteen seconds. Then ten. Then a countdown to two. The red light of the camera foward of the news desk lit up.
"Evening ladies and gentlemen, as has been reported here on SRNN as well as other stations both nation and world wide, the United Socialist States of Neo-Soviet Russia has been in talks with the Golencian government. To those uninformed the two governments were in talks pertaining to the transfer of territory situation on the island, an island which resides between Japan and Russia. These sessions have ended and with that it has become official that territories on the west coast of Jurristan shall be transferred to USSNSR ownership. Some are wondering what is to happen with the local populice. Though the Premier has yet to make a public address it is expected the adoption of this territory will be like that of Haiti and Puerto Rico though with possibly some conflict due to the status of the north western territory being procured. More news can be found on our website, for now though that is all...now on to other news..."
