Sarzonia will monitor the situation in Canad a with interest.

We note that our government does not recognize "marriage" as a legally binding institution and does not confer benefits to couples with a religious marriage. For full government benefits, couples of same- or opposite-sex couples must get a civil union.

If you are interested in documenting our implementation of our laws, please contact one of our House of Delegates members and he or she will be happy to allow you to tour one of our states to watch that policy in action.

OCC: The Federal Republic of Canada is based in the future, the west holds a large majority of conservatively minded individuals in real life. After the break up of the Dominion of Canada it created two nations, The Canadian Union (east from Manitoba-Ontario border) and the Federal Republic of Canada (west of Manitoba-Ontario border).

OOC: Please explain to me how this affects the UN membership, as I have no IC reason to know this and no IC reason to reply otherwise.
