Prime Minister Vlatimir Poltoska has announced that he will resign from office, effective tomorrow at noon.
Prime Minister Poltoska has governed the Republic of Grazhkjistan for nearly 40 years, having been elected at 37 after the assassination of Prime Minister Yuri Golayaven in 1968. He was quoted as saying,
"I have presided over this land for long enough. I have had the privelege to see Grazhkjistan in its full glory, and its darkest times. I am proud to have been Prime Minister of this nation. But, I am getting older, and I can no longer keep up with the flow of politics. It is time for me to step down with heavy heart, and pass the torch to another."
Deputy Prime Minister Alfons Petrovic will be sworn into office at 3:00 tomorrow.
