OOC: Basically I am doing this, asking that someone be willing to help me choose the options on the issues that will reduce the tax level in my nation.

IC: "Ladies and gentlemen, the President declares, I am afraid I am have very disheartening news about our fair state." The President says. "Our great nation has been suffering from a series of economic problems threatening to destroy our way of life. As I am sure you are all aware of the tax rate recently went up to an astounding 95%, this has awoken my eyes to how great a catastrophe is looming over the horizon if we do not act fast. Today I am asking for help from our friends in the international community to help us to slash government spending and lower the taxes, the burden of our econcomic problems should fall on the government, not the people." The President stops to take a drink of water. "Today we are going to open our arms and embrace anybody who steps forward to help us get our finances in line, my beloved people have suffered far to much, I had never wished to see this happen, when you are forced to choose between clothes and food something is wrong, if you can not afford to buy shoes for your kids so they can walk to school something needs to be done. If this does not rebound the economy I will be forced to declare a state of bancruptcy in West Pacific." The President now takes a slight break to gather his thoughts. "My people, I am sorry for any suffering you have gone through but all I can do is give you my word that together we will see this through, I see a West Pacific of the future where everybody has a job, everybody has a house, the grass will be greener, school children will be happier and our glorious armies will strike fear into our enemies once more, together we shall persevere. Thank you."

The aWen Corporation, completely detatched from the civil war within Lindim, is prepared to finance up to one trillion American dollars as a temporary loan to the government of the West Pacific so they may lower their taxes and still function.

More money may be loaned depending on incentives offered.

OOC: In Lindim, the corporations are richer than the government. So they can do alot.

ooc: lower taxes means more capital for business, meaning they can reinvest into their products and increase the scale of their operation. economy of scale dictates that for most products the more produced the cheaper it is and the more business profit, the better for economies. This is all really really simplified and abstract... but that's the basic reason why lowering taxes is good for your economy

OOC: I think you guys missed the point, see I am trying to find someone who knows something about these issues to make the decisions that will cause the tax rate to go down, if none of the options lower the tax rate then I merely dismiss it, yet the tax rate still goes up.

A diplomatic message arrives from the Empire of Dragonspeak.

I have heard about your nation's serious economic problems. You simply can not afford to maintain your military at its current levels, and yet, it is a dangerous world out there, isn't it? The only way to save your economy, nay, the vary way of life of your country is to dramatically reduce the size of your country's military, but once you do that, your nation will be easy prey for foreign invaders. However, this can be avoided if you have powerful foreign allies, and it is well known that those allies are willing to defend you. If you simply agree to become a protectorate of the Empire, we will be able to provide that support you need, and I can assure you that all of your current issues will be resolved.

OOC: It sounds like you have made a lot of decisions on issues that involved increasing the size and strength of your military and your police force, and that costs money. If you want to lower you tax rate, I would suggest you look for issues that will give you chances to lower your expenses, such as getting rid of compulsory military service, cutting back on your police forces, and cutting education spending.
