As the forces return home from their recent conflict they hear the news of the Upper penninsula of Michigan has been annexed.
they hear the dreaded news.
" we will be sending 50,000 soldiers to occupy the territory. they will remain in the cities only and will not cross the borders of the U.P. also under Surperieian controll will be Mackinac island and Mackinac bridge.
400 Tanks will also be sent into the area to help prevent forigien invasion."
The units arrive in the small populated area. (200,000 people) and begin to give gifts out to the civilians in the area. this easily gains the trust and support of the people.
