Today, several government scientists in the ONI Concordiat completed Project BOLO XXIV. Due to economic and industrial concerns, only one prototype was completed. The project was originally held up by the Computer Division, their failure to build the AS system was dismal. With help from several other nations' technology, plus a few advancements on our part, the AS Core of the BOLO was completed.
A BOLO's armor and most of the working parts is classified. The weaponry, however, is being released.
2x 90cm Hellbore Main Guns
14x 20cm Hellbore infinite repeaters
6x 2cm Hellbore infinite repeaters
20x 2cm Antipersonnel railguns
13x Vertical Launch System (VLS) missiles
6x 14cm howitzers
3x 2cm mortars
Hellbore:
Small sliver of uranium-jacketed cryo-hydrogen is compressed in a magnetic bottle. Fusion is induced, then magnetically restricted into a fireball and propelled out of the barrel, the only remaining opening. The main guns provide about 2 megatons/sec of energy, the auxiliary about 400 kilotons/sec and 40 kilotons/sec respectively.
The antipersonnel railguns fire uranium-jacketed steel slivers, designed to splinter into a high-velocity shotgun blast effect.
The BOLO armored fighting vehicle is quite a large vehicle, and its two fusion reactors power its speed only to about 25 kph, and it is very heavy, about 1093 tons. The fusion reactors, however, were, similar to the computer system, built and developed with the assistance of several nations.
