World News:Gunfire broke the silence this morning as the 121st specials division, under the flag of Verstummelung stormed across the boarders of it's small neighbore Kampfersein. (Kampfersein, is home to a small population at this moment, but on the verge of a big boom in population.)

Tanks, Plains, Even ships, begun the attack early this morning. It is expected the county has plans to dissolve Kampfersein and become apart of the Verstummelung empire.

A colum of Tiger III's covered overhead by F/A-18 Super Hornets, made their way towards the forward most city in Kampfersein.

They moved forward, waiting for enemy resistance.

IC:

The guard units, must have deserted their post's, seeing how the enemy got past the boarder without much of an effort. Counter attack forces, sprung directly into action.

A firebase, atleast 4 miles away from the Verstummelung tanks, begun to take aim.

The firebase, sat atop of a snowy mountain, the mountain was half the size of everest, and it was the last line of defense before the town Kalin. The firebase itself, had several 133mm rocket launchers, and 10 155mm cannons, this was known as "devil's peak."

Scouts in jeeps and halftracks made their way to atleast 20 meters of the enemy tank colum, and by now they should have been spotted by the Jet's coming overhead. The jeeps had .50 caliber machineguns mounted on them, they each begun to fire at the F/A-18's in attempt to shoot them down. The halftracks, carried a rocket battery. The battery of rockets, held 10 rockets. 80mm. The gunners took aim of these dumb fire rockets, and unleashed the full barrage at the lead tanks, and troops. Whilst the jeeps radioed into their firebase enemy troops locations.

Firebase gunner: I have them locked in the sights, releasing rocket salvo!

The 133mm rockets, let fly.

May I ask what the reason for this conflict is?

The tanks, let loose with their 12.7mm light vehical guns. They wanted to keep the halftracks from letting loose, yet it was obviously too late for the lead tank, as several 80mm rockets piercing into it. The Tiger III's armor was indeed tough, but against repeated rocket fire (10 rockets...at the same point?) it wasn't going to hold. The lead tank exploded, releasing shrapnal into the troops behind it, killing 10.

The F/A-18's however, didn't go unnoticed, they flew directly over the jeep's and straifed them both with heavy 7.62 vulcan fire. That was basically saying "they are as good as dead."

The rockets from the firebase begun to come in hard and heavy, tanks were starting to drop like flys and it seemed the invasion was going to be pushed back.

Tank Commander, Tiger III, Black 12 Radio: Air cover, Air cover, this is Lieutenant Marshal, enemy fire is coming from that mountain, wipe it out or else we'll die!

Pilot Radio: Lieutenant, on our way! Squadron, switch to laser guided bombs. Our targets are whatever is shooting at our boy's. Lets make it fall down, go boom.

The Super Hornets made their way towards the firebase, with sole intent on killing anything ontop of it. Once they were within range, they picked their own targets and with 5 Hornets in the formation, they each dropped 4 bombs. In other words, the base just got lit up.

Though the majority of the active military (15 million men) is operating or on standy in the New Crusades, Malkyer still has 5 million troops it can commit if need be. Yes it sounds like a god ship, but its faults are it carries a limited amount of ammo, and it cannot fire any of its guns underwater. Except railguns and torpedo tubes. It can't turn on a dime ofcorse. I'll awanser any questions reguarding it, to clear things up. Keep in mind I only have two of these, the one about to engage the enemy Pattons is named "Merciless." The other, terrorizing Truitt's forces is called "Viscious." I only have two built and a third about 75% complete.

The Merciless herself, was ready to engage in combat against a formidable enemy. 20 battleships vs one was going to be something of a feat. Thus why she came with a surface escort of two Heavy cruisers, and 10 guided missle destroyers. The Merciless was submerged at the moment, giving her surprise. her colors (her flag) was the mighty naval flag of the Verstummelung High Seas Fleet. Her main goal was to let the surface ship's engage, then she would strike and eliminate anything left.

(War is declaired on all those who want it, allys are welcome at this time aswell.)

Captain Newell at Fleet Command recieved the call at about ten. The Defense Minister had sounded tired. He certainly had enough on his shoulders, what with the New Crusade, and this possibly second war. The orders had been simple, to ready the defensive satellites in order to soften up the Verstummelung Navy should Malkyer commit it's sons to war. The minister's spies confirmed the existence of some sort of super-battleship the enmy had. Newell smiled. Hitting something that huge wouldn't be too hard.

OOC: The way I see it, my forces could invade and take out Kampfersein in a matter of weeks, my nifty floating fortress could wipe out the 20 pattons with ease. And maybe by the time X-mas passes, I could invade someone.

IC: The Merciless, now thinking about what was coming towards her, turned to face the oncoming enemy ships. Well apparently they just appeared in homewaters. So the Merciless underwater, took sight and aim of the enemy vessels and started releasing 660mm torpedos. You know those nifty Gould Mk-48 ADCAP torpedoes. Well the bow tubes were flooded and they were pointed at the lead Patton. She opened fire with a pair of bow torpedos, turning to starboard, and then releasing a pair of port side torpedos at the second ship. The vessel would come from her starboard turn, now with her stern facing the enemy vessels. Them being on the surface means she had the advantage for the time being. She then launched a pair of stern torpedos at the third ship. So by now 6 torpedos, 2 to different ships.

She would do this for alittle while longer, as the tactical fighting for surface engagments were planned.

Oh and forgot about those Verstummelung surface ships? Well by this time, the destroyers being, missile destroyers and such, had now released a wave of harpoon missiles at the enemy warships, whilst their Heavy Cruiser friends had opened up with their 15 inch guns, and 5 inch guns onto the enemy Pattons.

(Well as I see it, I might just go down, but I'll have a hell of a party.)

I have only a limited military of my own but will loan 5 billion Labours (USD Equivient 1.33 /1) for the defense of Kampfersein should they desire the cash to purchase medical supplies, food and non-munition supplies. This will free up their resource for weapons purchases. Unlike harware cash can be wired through a neutral nation. probably our UN representitive.

The interest rate for this loan will be 1.5% simple interest on the principle and the repayment period will by60 years.

If the government of Kampfersein decides to take this offer they should telegram me directly.

OOC: Attracted to a submerged ship? In order to do that, they'd have to be ridiculously strong magnets. Which would mean that they could equally be attracted to other bomblets or indeed the missile, blowing it up before it got launch. Just wanted to point that out.

IC: The surface ships took the brunt of the enemy action, and by now half of them were gone. The rest were damaged to some extent.

The Merciless thought now might be a good time to bring up her guns. She stopped with her torpedos, and rose to the surface. Releasing a massive cloud of smoke to hide her appearence. Most of her guns turned upon the battleship fleet approaching, each of her guns let loose one by one, sending massive shells at the enemy fleet. The best targets were picked. Right below the first and second turrets (magizine.)

That makes absolutely no sense at all. This seems a little like post-modern tech. To create such a thing it would take generated magentic forces on each bomblett, expencive and large.

If you are the type of nation that would invade a country 20 times (200 million versus 5 million) smaller than yours simply to establish an empire I' don't find it surprizing that no one wanted to help you! You should have found allies before hand. There are powerfull nations that might have helped you. If you had asked. That is the nature of diplomacy.


You should also see Za-Za's actions as diplomacy as a nation without an army confronted with three nations with strong militaries providing loans to a small invaded and beleugered country brings it to the attention of the others involved. If you look at our archepelligo ou will see it is a scary place to be a pacifist in. Za-Za is looking for allies to keep our boots off its throat.

IC: With her massive amount of SAM missle launchers, the tungsten spears, were more or less missiles to the Merciless computer's. And a massive wave of SAM missile launchers went airbourne, before the missiles were in range, it was expected they would meet.

By now the Merciless had take a sharp starboard turn to avoid the tungsten. If the missiles failed, hopefully the armor would soften the blow. The 20mm vulcan guns now came into effect shooting at the tungsten.

But how did you know about the spears coming? You'd have as much warning time as if it were a small meteor.

The five army groups, along with the naval and aerial forces have been re-alerted and are now prepared to invade Kampfersein if the need arises. However, I would prefer to avoid a ground war until such time as the Verstummelung High Seas Fleet has been neutralized.

Loaded with LGBs and GPS guided bombs they took off from Air fields. 100 B-52s and bring up the rear of 2 B-2s they fly across the ocean and await to deploy their payload.

to protect the bombers 300 F-22s and 400 F-23s are loaded with AIM-54s.

they prepare a large bombardment of 780,000 lbs of explosives.
these would rain down on costal defenses and military targets in or around the capital city.



Naval battle

The 14 Arsenal ships arrive to the battle scean. they fire off 60 Harpoons at the enemy battleship and prepare their defenses. 5 Superier class subs an 5 Huron class subs have left docks with 5 Sea wolfs and 5 Sturgeons. they prepare to launch another offensive on enemy ships in the area. at a depth of 6,000 feet the Superiers and the Hurons perpare to move in closer to the enemy fleet. loaded with AS-55-V1s they lock onto enemy ships and fire.

The missiles launch out of the tubes of the subs and fly towards the fleet at a speed of Mach 8. a total of 30 were launched.

now the some what inferier navy of "Irine" should be decimated and the newly concieved Surperier army will take action against the evil imperialist.

Sigh, it is always hard when a peaceful nation must go to war

As stated in my previous post on this thread Za-Za does not maintain the ability to project force beyond its borders. Therefore this is about the best that I think I could do.

If one of the other nations involved is willing and able to provide provide defensive aircover I will comitt 20,000 combat troops and 30, 000 logistics and medical staff to the capital city of Kampfersein. I will have to use commercial airliners for this and thus will not let them leave the ground if there is not adequate cover and a secured route.

This is aproximately 120 747's worth of personel which means it would take two to three days to land and unload the planes. There would need to be airport access for 4 or 5 planes a day after that to keep them supplied.

These are modern light infantry armed with assault rifles that fire a 6.5 mm round. They would come equiped with light mortars and 6.5 mm machine guns
They have radios in their helmets and night vision googles and are well trained professional soldiers.

I have no aircraft available that can transport tanks or heavy weapons and in truth my J68D tanks (A Merkava MII clone) would proabably be out classed anyway. My fighters obviously do not have sufficent range and I do not maintain in air refueling capacity.

IC: The Verstummelung Airforce, made its way across the southern part of the country, towards the capital. Unfinished highways, became makeshift runways, and their tunnels their bunkers. SU-37's, with digfighting air to air missiles, made their way in massive numbers. C-130's and C-5's begun deploying massive amounts of hardware and equipment. This was a large task to complete, utilizing the defeated army's weapons, SAM and 57mm AA weapons were set up all around. Ontop of the hospital a 57mm AA gun sat, while four SAM sights surrounded it. 300,000 troops were there within a moments notice, already pouring in from parts of the country. Most of the time, Vertsummelung was always invaded, but the fascist in charge decided otherwise.

I am assuming that I am 12 time zones away

The planes are in the air. I will sent the planes in groups of 10 The first planes should leave within about 5 game hours and then another group every 2 hours. Thus one group will disembark and the planes can be refueled and be ready for the return trip when the next group arrives. The first group should arrive 13 hours after that so figure 18 hours.

The 20,000 combat troops will arrive first then the logistical personel including two complete field hospitals

My national airline (Za-air) has been mobilized and domestic flights have been cancelled. My total army is only 300,000 which is small for a country my size, but most of that is combat capable because I am setup as a defensive nation and do not maintain extensive logistical and forwarding abilities beyond my borders. I will help in this war but will need, as I am an honest role player, help in delivering troops and supplies.

My Parliment has taken the following measures:

1. Raise and arm 500,000 aditional troops. Given my population the number should be easy though the cost will hurt my economy. These will be of low quality given their short training time of 8 weeks but will give me the ability to employ the rest of my army in the conflict if they are needed

2. I will load 500 J68-D tanks onto 5 heavy cargo ships and have my navy convoy them to a suiable landing site in allied control. As I said earlier these are probably inferior to the other armor in the conflict but are still enough of a threat that they cannot be ignored.

I have assigned 5 FGM (roughly equivilent to the US Oliver Hazzard Perry class frigates) and 3 anti submarine destroyers and an Aegis command ship that will be assigned to convoy escort duty.

These tanks should arrive in 3 weeks.

3. The military budget has been given an emergency supliment of 15 billion Labours and funds have been diverted ffrom other areas.

4. The Federation of Cuthroatia and The Grand Ducky of Jackbootz will contacted about arms purchases. These nations are in my continent and I have purchased materials from them in the past.

Because Za-Za has not fought a major war in many years we will differ to your leadership in matters of tactics and logistics. We will, however, maintain final command of our troops.

with the fall of Kemperfsien all surperian forces have been withdrawn from the area. The cargo planes were ordered to return home BEFORE(i never posted deploying the cargo) the cargo was released.

All fighters entered the combat zone once the cease fire was reported. A missle was almost launched, but never did.

It seems that there is nothing for opposing forces to gain, and by us still shooting it wouldn't help us aswell.
