OOC: I am a FT nation, but will be using thing from many different sci-fi shows such as Star Trek, Star Wars, you get the picture! It also will include a few of my own ideas
Background: Snake Eaters is not actually a nation, but an almagamation of star systems, containing 300 planets in total, and spanning a distance of nearly 5,000 light years
IC: In a move addressed today the Commander-in-Chief, Lord Barbarossa, has announced a radical restructuring of the Snake Eater military forces. The below document covers all changed aspects, begining with the Snake Eater Navy:

With the need to maintain security in the region, Snake Eaters is reorganizing her space fleets. There will now be 9 Operational Front Line Fleets, as well as a Medical and a Logistic fleet. Deep Space Recon and Science fleets are also in the making, and to complete the set-up an Escort fleet will also be established.
The operational fleets will be composed of 100 ships each. Each has been given a designated sector in which it will maintain law and order. The ships in each fleet will be:
1) x5 Sovereign class starships
2) x 10 Galaxy " "
3) x 25 Akira " "
4) x 20 Intrepid " "
5) x 15 Defiant " "
6) x 15 Nebula " "
7) x 5 Ambassador " "
8) x 5 Steamrunner " "
The total manpower of these fleets will be 100,000 souls. It will be rare to see them gathered in one place.
The Logistics, Deep Space Recon, Science and Medical fleets will both consist of 50 ships, and carry a total of 50,000 souls. Although the operational fleets can carry supplies, carry out recon, conduct experiments and provide medical care, these dedicated fleets will merely relieve the pressure on the warships. The Medical fleet will consist of 50 Olympic class starships, which have minimal shields and weapons, as it is not a warship. The Logistics fleet will consist of 50 Excelsior class starships, which will have moderate shields and weapons, but will still require an escort. The Deep Space Recon fleet will consist of 50 Constellation ships, with upgraded sensors and engines. Finally, the Science fleet will consist of 50 re-fitted Constitution class vessels, with upgraded science labs, in order to further Snake Eater knowledge.
The Escort fleet will consist of 400 Saber class Escort ships, and will number 100,000 souls. These will be designated in a 2:1 ratio to the Logistics, Medical, Deep Space Recon and Science fleets. They are very fast, heavily armed and heavily armoured.
All Fleets will be commanded by a single Vice-Admiral, other than the Escort fleet, which will be commanded by two Vice-Admirals, each taking responsibility for two other fleets. Each ship will be commanderd by a Captain. The XO will be a Commander, and then the senoir staff will be a mixture of Lt Com's. and Lt's. Snake Eater Space will be divided into 10 regions, of 30 planets each (500 LY). Each region will have the full comlplement of fleets, as detailed above. With each fleet, the Vice-Admirals' shall reside upon Dautnless class frigates, with the Admiral in charge of each region being based upon an Emperor class battlesship, with his own personal fleet of MArs class cruisers and escorts.
In total, the Navy now consists of 150,000 starships and a grand total of 12,000,000 souls. This does not include the crews of the HQ Fleets (Admiral, V-A, and their men on their ships etc)
