A state of war has developed between the nation of Plutocratic Maniacs and Hogsweat. In response to this hostility, we have arranged for, and executed the placement of biological weapons in Hogsweat.

At aproximately 4:30 AM, a Plutocratic Maniacs agent parachuted outside of Hogsweat's capital city. The man was armed with a 9mm Hand gun and 52 ounces of Neomortus X12 (NMX12). NMX12 is a modern virus, created by our scientists, that is highly lethal, and highly contagious. The agent (much to his chagrin) was contaminated with the virus himself when activating the parachute. He was given instructions to place minute quantities of the NMX12 at major intersections and throughout heavily trafficked regions of the city. In roughly three hours, your fatalities will begin.

Any simpleton with dexterity sufficient to pick up a pencil could tell you that it is not feasible to deter an ICBM with a projectile in modern times. Especially the SS-18 R-36m "SATAN" (isn't that an adorable nickname for a WMD).

The R-36m / SS-18 intercontinental ballistic missile is a large, two-stage, tandem, storable liquid-propellant inertial guided missile developed to replace the SS-9 ICBM. Housed in hard silos, the highly accurate fourth generation SS-18 ICBM is larger than the Peacekeeper, the most modern deployed US ICBM. The R-36M used a gas-dynamic method for the first and second stages whereby special ports are opened through which the propellant tanks are pressurized. This obviated the need for the use of pressurant gases from tanks and the so-called chemical tanks pressurization (by injecting small amounts of fuel in the oxidizer tank and oxidizer into the fuel tank). The improved design and more effective engines allowed an increase in the total liftoff weight from 183 tons to 209.6 ton and the throw weight from 5.8 tons to 8.8 tons, while maintaining the overall dimensions of its predecessor missile.


As you can see, rejection of this missile would be impossible.

I don't use C17 Cargo planes, and besides it would have been registered in every fifteen minutes and a change in pilots voice would have been detected and noted. In the event you would use the pilots to transmit in, the pilots would have screamed down the communications channel and the plane would have been shot down and any survivors found and shot.

1.) Confirm with the UN
2.) Get positive ID on the inspector or personnel
3.) We would follow the Personnel around 24/7 and monitor them sleeping.

Post modern technology, everybody has it. DA has it with his over armored tanks. AMF has soldiers that are born. We have the Doujin, which is 50 to 500 times bigger then the Iowa Class Battleship. This is not modern times, this is post modern times.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) 15 years away from being operational? I'm simply referencing an issue of SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN I read about three months ago.

OOC:Ani Ballistic Missile defenses are entirely possible. The Russians had Anti Ballistic Missiles defending Moscow since the 1970s. Most NS nations use either(or a mix) of the following things:

A:Space Based Lasers, The most common defense against ballistic missiles on NationStates(modern or not). This is part of Reagans invisioned 'Star Wars' Tech. Most likely 15 years away(But hey! Modern Tech is usually considered today-2020)

B:Airborne Lasers(ABL), Currently in Development by the United States, It is basicilly a laser mounted on the nose of a Boeing-747 that will shoot down missiles as they exit the atmosphere. These can be implemented in 1-5 years in my guess.

C:Interceptor Missiles, Believe it or not, the United States as actually deployed a few of these in Alaska. The Russians also have a Interceptor Missile, the nuclear tipped GALOSH ABM. However the United States missile does not destroy their targets via nuclear blast, it destroys its targets via kenetic impact. These are already deployed by the USA and Russia.
