A God has Died

Goa-uld
22-12-2004, 19:11
The Following is a Statement from the Disputed Territories of the Goa'uld

Ra (http://gateworld.net/omnipedia/characters/r/graphics/ra.jpg), Supreme System Lord of the Goa'uld, Dominion of The Greatest Land, Possesor of the Eye of Ra, Destroyer of Anubis was assasinated today. While collecting a shipment of Naquadah from his enslaved world of Abydos. While the reasons behind this assasination remain a mystery, it is certain that a Goa'uld within the System Lords did not commit this act. A make-shift Atomic Bomb was used to destroy Ra's Ha'Tak Mothership (http://gateworld.net/omnipedia/ships/m/graphics/mothershipras.jpg), taking Ra and his dozen crewmen with him in the blast.

Ra's forces, once numbering millions of loyal Jaffa, has been divided by some of the stronger System Lords. A new-found battle for power has begun, with Apophis (http://gateworld.net/omnipedia/characters/a/graphics/apophis.jpg) absorbing approximately 46% of Ra's forces, Cronus (http://gateworld.net/omnipedia/characters/c/graphics/cronus.jpg) absorbing 23%, and Yu (http://gateworld.net/omnipedia/characters/y/graphics/yu.jpg) absorbing 11%. The remaining 20% of Ra's forces are un-accounted for. Although, there has been talk that Sokar (http://gateworld.net/omnipedia/characters/s/graphics/sokar.jpg), the one exiled by the Goa-uld, might have absorbed the remaining forces.

Thousands of Jaffa are left destitute and under attack by the remaining System Lords in an effort to gather the small remainder of Ra's Forces that are left. Many are dying for thier ex-master's cause.

The Goa'uld government has put a reward of 10 tons of Naquadah Ore for the first government to capture the ones responsable for this assasination.

The Tioszaean government has sent some of its best trackers and is devoting as much of its resources as possible in order to catch these criminals. Success is not guaranteed, bear in mind, but we will try.

2: If anyone RPs solely as the SGC.

OOC: Actually, Tau'ri means people of the first planet, being Earth. Jaffa are humans too, but they aren't called Tau'ri.

IC: You fools! So, it was the Tau'ri who killed our God!

Mark the words of me and all Goa'uld when I say this: our revenge will be swift and deadly.

The daemon Lord of Ankhmet, incidentally called Ra, offers your puny nation an alliace, so that you can ally with a lord of chaos, and perhaps your dead god can be revived by the ruinous powers.I could also aid you in the slaughter of the Tau'ri.

OOC:

I might be interested in joining this RP.

Keep in mind, my Sharina people aren't humans per se. They're humans descended from reptiles and dinosaurs, and even though they look the same as mammal humans, there are fundamentally differences between the two.

Sharinans lay eggs like reptiles instead of being pregnant, have 10 - 30% more physical strength and endurance than mammal humans, and can live 200 - 300 years because of reptile DNA and reptile cell regeneration.

Ever wonder why turtles and reptiles live longer than larger mammals like elephants, horses, etc.? ;)

So my people aren't Tau'ri per se, but Sharina is indeed located on Earth (5 parallel Earths). I'm a big Stargate fan myself and would love to participate in these kind of RP's.

ooc:I'm a big fan too. The new season rocks. But the fact I live in the UK means I'm behind by quite a bit in comparison with Americans. So I do not know what is going on with replicator Carter....Damn.

OOC: Sharina, you can join...I just don't know what's going to happen ^_^

Of anything, we'll compare you to Unas.

Oh, and the reason why Turtles have such long lifespan is that they mature slower. Therefore, their cells aren't being "used up" as fast as Mammals are.

IC:
Ankhmet, although your offer is indeed appreciated, we must do this ourselves. We may call upon you to defeat another race...one which is must stronger...

Does the nation of Sharina wish to claim some responsability for this henious action!?

Now, does anyone here rp as the SGC??

Where are you guys getting this info about "back in time" and such?

As for me, I'm an American and I just looked it up online.

Oh, and as for the SGC. We don't need them. In fact, I would prefer NOT to have them. Let's be creative here, people. I'm just using the Goa'uld, not following EVERYTHING that they did. I want to re-write history a bit, let's see what would have happened if the SGC hadn't been there.

I'm interested in playing the Ancients. (They rarely get involved, but have amazing abilities. But who says that the Ancients, as a whole, cannot decide to become active with the lesser beings.)

I got an wonderful idea, guys.

It'd be quite interesting to have Earth split into two species of humans.

My humans and the standard mammal humans.

Then when the Goa'uld come, they have to deal with 2 different human species. My humans arrive at that Earth through SLIDING, based off the SLIDERS TV show.

That'd be interesting, yeah?

'Djehuty, I believe you heard the news?' The flat nasal tone echoed around the massive hall. The man sat at a table, pushing his rook towards the black bishop, wary of his opponent's motive.

I did. Came a momentous whisper, a lash across the dark hall, echoing from every surface. A sinuous, glowing hand reached out from the shadows and plucked a pawn from the board, and pushed it towards the first layer of defense.

Djehuty floated serenely above the ground; not a human, but an AI construct possibly as advanced as that of Zero One's leader.

Nobody really knew anymore. What had begun as an advanced experiment in ethereal system design had quickly grown into a person. Djehuty had revolutionised the nation, turning the tables on an old system bound to lose, incorporating several features from an ally and mentor.

Now Djehuty was the Vice-President, the force behind the fair elections for their utopia. He was very well informed, and loved to engage himself in the affairs of others, and truly, his hand could sometimes be seen in galaxy spanning operations.

He chose this form, a Youthful teen, clothed in very modern looking clothes, with blonde hair framing his face and giving an extra innocence to his features. He normally addressed the nation looking like this, a small secret smile on his face.

I believe Ra was killed in retaliation. Could it be that the very people he sought to control finally rose up and annihilated him? It's happened before, according to record. Said the floating boy, staring at the game with the attentiveness of a hawk watching its prey.

'You mean his human -'

Jaffa. Interrupted the AI, not batting an eyelid.

'Jaffa rebelled? Is that not impossible?' The man blinked at Djehuty, aghast.

The AI tore his eyes away from the game and locked icewater blue eyes upon the man. The man fidgeted under the cool gaze, something he'd not done since his primary school years.

Obviously there's no such thing as impossible, dear President. No. I believe there was also outside help. Someone else helped the uprising. Completed Djehuty.

'But who...?'

Someone with rudimentary knowledge of nuclear weaponry, and most definitely access to a stargate. Supplied the AI, before finally sighing. We shall finish this game at a later date, I would predict. I fancy watching the remaining factions of the Goa'uld squabble over this boon from a good seat.

Isn't it the other way around? I remember many US shows and also video games take a year or two to catch up in Europe and Asia.

[Ancient's Homeworld. Name: Unknown]
Energy emanated from the center of the room, throwing light to the far borders of the room. The structure of the room was quite amazing. There were no walls, but a room hovered nearly 5 meters off the ground and remained still as if held up by stone. Every stone in the room glowed with various runes, all of which were different from another.

Around the edge of the room, which was in the shape of a perfect circle sat 39 stone seats. Each seat bore a single constellation image. Upon these seats sat, often, the 39 leaders of the race known as The Ancients. These leaders, collectively known as the Council of Eden, made the laws and rules regarding the ascended. They controlled the ascended at all times, ready to strike down those who would break their laws.

There were, however, seven supreme members of the ancient council. Each supreme member guarded one of the symbols that would guide their people to the forgotten world (ooc: Atlantis). They preserved the way hope in hopes that the Ancients could one-day return and defeat the enemy that nearly destroyed them.

Suddenly, the 39 stones became enraged with energy. Light poured from them, filling the open room until it could contain no more light. The council was gathered. The center stone of the 7 supreme members grew red; a voice was heard.

"UnbalanceDeathWyrm."

Another voice chimed in.

"SecondTerraRise."

The remainder then said, in unison.

"RiseAncientRise."
