Good evening and welcome to E-Rokkian News Television’s presentation of National News Tonight. I am your host Riggen Faslk, and it is with a heavy heart that I report to you that Emperor Iffesti has died. This morning during a round of golf with Grand Admiral Vezzix, leader of the Confederation of Pirates of Avast, Emperor Iffesti stopped play and said to one of his aides that he was feeling light headed, and that his vision was becoming blurred. Shortly after arriving at the Imperial Medical Facility, it was discovered that the Emperor was in the latest stages of an advanced form of the Sol’Tryvak flu, and had only hours to live. Just before his death the Emperor made this statement. “Though I have ruled this country with an Iron Fist, I have never ruled through fear. I tried to the best of my abilities to consider the options and outcome in every situation and do what is best for my people. In doing so I have provided a stable environment to raise a family, and an economy to support the common man. I love my country, and my countrymen, I have lowered the crime rate to the point that crime is almost non existent, and I have avoided entering our country in a major conflict of any kind. Though my time on this world is running out I want to be sure that my people are going to be cared for. It is in that interest that I am officially appointing my cousin Garrm Torran to succeed me as leader of this great nation. Long live Emperor Torran.”

Shortly after making this statement Emperor Iffesti passed away. A private viewing for the Emperor’s family will be held tomorrow, followed by a public viewing and funeral on Friday. The official inauguration of Emperor Garrm Torran will be held on Monday morning at 8 A.M. local Eastern Time, and will be covered by ENT. Saying good night…I am Riggen Faslk.

Official communiqué from Grand Admiral Vezzix, leader of the Confederacy of Pirates of Avast:

I do not even know where to begin to express my sadness. Emperor Iffesti was a great great man, and beyond that he was my friend. I have amassed the entire fleet of Avastian Pirates who will be firing all of there cannons at the exact same time four an hour straight in the bay of Norag at 8:30 this evening in tribute to my fallen friend.

Though I support the newly appointed Emperor, and as a member of Pax Enemy Zero I will offer my allegiance to him, I will always miss Iffesti

Good Morning and welcome to E-Rokkian News Television’s presentation of National News Today. I am your host Yolanda Irretta. Today the Imperial Palace is shrouded in black cloth. Black curtains hang in all the windows, and the normally colorfully dressed Imperial Guards are dressed all in black to signify the passing of Emperor Iffesti. Today is the private viewing being held for the Emperor’s family and close friends. Emperor Talamark Iffesti’s life was cut short at the age of 23, but in his short time he has accomplished many great things. His first official act as Emperor was to unite all of the countries in the region into the Pax Enemy Zero which has recently changed it’s name to the United Imperium, but retains all the same goals and values Emperor Iffesti built it upon. Also in his short life, he virtually eliminated crime, and kept his nation out of major conflicts that didn’t concern it. During his time as Emperor our nation enjoyed a time of great prosperity. He appointed his cousin the 22 year old Garrm Torran to succeed him as the next Emperor, and though he hasn’t gone through the official ceremony, Emperor Torran has already begun passing legislations and opening relations to foreign ministers. He is expected to appoint his cabinet after the official inauguration ceremony on Monday. Emperor Torran gave this statement regarding his cousin’s unexpected death. “Though this is a great honor that I never expected, but it is in the saddest of ways that these events have played out. Talamark Iffesti was my cousin, but he was more than that, he was one of my best friends. When we were children we played together everyday. When we were teenagers we joined the local defense army together, and when he began his conquest of E-Rokk when he was 16, I was right there fighting beside him. My best memory to this day is after the armies of Shirokk Alish fell and Talamark led his armies into the city with all of the citizens chanting his name. Though I am sure I will do some things different than he may have, I will try my very best to continue my cousin’s legacy.”

Be sure to tune in this evening for a complete documentary about the life of Emperor Talamark Iffesti, that starts at 7 o clock P.M. and will run until 11:30 here on E-Rokkian News Television. For E-Rokkian National News today… I’m Yolanda Irretta.
