The Emperor sat in the room with his Joint Chiefs and ignored the onslaught of a full blizzard outside. The meeting was in regards to Operation Slip-Slide, an annual and massive military training operation by the Imperial Layartebian Military. There were four areas of the world where this operation would touch, the first being the North Atlantic Ocean, the second being Dnalkrad, the third being the Pacific Ocean, and the fourth being South Eastern Virginia.
"Gentlemen, it is good that we can begin these operations now." The Emperor said. "It is fine time to do this and will certainly raise the skill of our soldiers, sailors, and airmen. What plans do we have this year? Shall we start with the navy?"
"Thank you sir. We're planning to sortie the 7th Enterprise Battlegroup, the 11th Nimitz Battlegroup, the 7th Vampire Group, and the 11th Wasp Battlegroup. The Enterprise and the Vampire are going out into the North Atlantic with their respective air wings. The Nimitz and the Wasp are going into the Pacific via the new canal we've constructed through Ynoga. Additionally, we're going to sortie the 3rd Submarine Force. Half of the attack submarines will go to the North Atlantic with the other half going to the Pacific. The SSBNs and SSGNs will be split as well. That's about all I have sir."
"Very good. What of the Army?"
"Well sir," the General of the Army picked up a piece of paper on the table. "Sir, for Dnalkrad we're getting the 7th, 8th, and 9th Cavalry Divisions ready. Additionally we're readying the 7th, 8th, and 9th Airborne Wing. The 7th, 8th, and 9th Special Forces Wing are also being readied as well as the 7th, 8th, and 9th Infantry Corps and the 7th, 8th, and 9th Airborne Divisions. The entire 3rd Air Defense Unit is being readied too sir. The 4th, 5th, and 6th Cavalry Divisions, Airborne Wings, Special Forces Wings, Infantry Corps, and Airborne Divisions are being readied along with the 2nd Air Defense Unit. That's it sir."
"Very well. The Air Force?"
"Sir, the entire 2nd and 3rd Air Force are being prepared as well as the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th Expeditionary Forces."
"The Space Forces?"
"As usual sir we're on alert."
"Special Forces?"
"Well sir we're getting the 4th Special Forces Unit 'Rangers' and the 6th Special Forces Unit 'Marauders' as well as the 3rd Black Operations Unit 'Force Victor' ready. Along with them the, 4th and 5th Special Forces Cavalry Units."
"And of the Border Defenses?"
"As usual sir, the same alert as REDCON."
"Coast Guard?"
"Same sir."
"Very well. This is a lot to sortie and get ready. What is the estimated time for full readiness?"
"Sir," the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs spoke, "we'll be at one hundred percent readiness in three weeks. I understand its longer than normal but we're taking extra precautions not to make this look like we're planning to invade the entire planet."
"Understandable. You have all done fine. I expect updates daily gentlemen."
"Yes sir."
"Very well. We're done for the night." They shuffled out and the Emperor made the appropriate notes. And thus it begins...
