Stealth Technology Development at Secret Military Base (ATTN: Pacitalia)

At a secret military testing facility the Nutropinian Military has developed a system for use on its military vehicles and hopefully in the future personell in an order to make the visible. The system is a form of active camoflage. It works by first covering what needs to be camoflaged in a thin Layer of Organic Light Emitting Diodes or OLEDS. Cameras are then placed around the object to film its surroundings. The images that are produced will be reversed, so if you look at the top it will look like what is below the object. In the instance of a stationary building the images will be of say a forest or a grassy knoll. So far the technology is in its infancy and at high speeds becomes ineffective so at this point it is only suited for buildings, land vehicles, ships and helicopters at low speeds. The system is too heavy for individual soldiers at this point. The system is also not for sale and just being implemented in the Nutropinian Military.

SIC:Pacitalia this was developed at the military base in your country. The Blueprints are being sent over to your Department/Ministry of Defense.

[OOC -- You bumped this enough that I figured I would start questioning the details. So it is a bunch of little cameras right? I may not know a lot, but this seems slightly impractical, thus I am skeptical. Do cameras this small emit comparative digital images to that of the surroundings? Just wondering...]

OOC: Haha, sorry bout that, wanted someone to bite. Well, that is one of the problems at this point. The cameras are pretty large at this point comparative to the size we would have liked. Plus, the computer power required to make the image at high quality keep up at speeds over 60 mph is prohibitive. Yes, the quality is not very high but it is high enough to fool the average person when taking a glimpse or a camera from high altitude.

Thank you for the blueprints. This technology sounds excellent and we are prepared to aid you with scientists and funding to better this equipment and make it suitable for human use.Eleftherios Venizelos Jr.

Secret In Character:

Dear Mr. Venizelos,

Thank you for the kind reply. The blueprints are under guard right now and on the way. We thank you for the scientific help and kindly accept. However, we must insist on the utmost secrecy and we need to perform background and security checks. Right now we have one sector working on the active camoflage. We are also working on incorporating Radar Stealth technology with the OLED's. The next step we are hoping to take is to be able to cover the blades on a helicopter and have it work. Once we achieve that we believe any object moving at any speed will be able to be covered. After that, we will work on coming up with a man portable system. At the base we are also working on developing a Mu=1 helicopter, or a helicopter where the blade tips go less than the speed of sound enabling the helicopter to travel at the speed of an airplane. One restriction for your scientists however, is that parts of the base will be kept off limits. The first is the area where we keep our ten missile silos. The second is our interrogation area, this is not something we want people to know about. Thank you very much.

OOC: Excuse me but this is simply impossible. In order to analyze information in those cameras you need a computer and you need to somehow connect that computer to those OLEDSs, this is future tech right? Cause there is no device that can control biological organisms this day. So how does this work?

OOC:Organic Light Emitting Diodes aren't living organisms. Look at the links here.

We are using FOLED's or Flexible OLED's in order to coat the surfaces.

OOC: But how are you gonna make them hold on to the surface? And what about heat signatures and such things? It doesn't repel radar signal does it?
Well anyways, you still need a pretty powerful computer to control of this, thats gonna make it expensive, do you even have a computer with needed capacity developed? Also it would be better if you used some kind of modified sonar instead of cameras. You send the signal, computer picks up the objects around you and if immideately pulls out its collor and depth out of the database. Or maybe use a satelite camera, that would make this whole thing much cheaper to make.

Anyways i just recently developed Plasma Shield (concept developed in mid-60s by the Soviet military, but perfected and applied by me) stealth for my jet fighters, they protect against any kind of radar but you can still see the aircraft by visual means. Would you consider a joint project to incorporate both of our technologies?

OOC: This is not future tech. This is very-advanced MT equipment.

We will gladly honour your military base requests such as the no-fly zone and the missile silo prohibition. We will be sending a contingent of 54 scientists to help you with this technology. If they can be accommodated on the base, that would be best. If not, we can put them up in a secured housing complex nearby.Eleftherios Venizelos Jr.

OOC: Read all the posts I touched on all the problems you addressed. Send me a link for the plasma shield. And if you do develop something like that you need to post that you developed it so people don't scream GodMod.

IC: We would not be willing to undertake co-developmet at this time.

We are More than willing and even glad to house your men, including their families, on the base. But they must sign non-disclosure agreements and they do risk punishment under the Nutropinian Code of Justice for treason if they break the law, on the base. As long as they are out of the restricted areas. Those areas our own scientists are not only allowed in, only Nutropinian Missile Engineers, High Ranking Officers with Clearance and any Special Forces working on 'Interrogation'. Thank you for your cooperation.

Perhaps you can reconsider our proposal. Possibilities behind the combination of our two technologies are limitless, why not combine our strengths and all gain from this?

I doubt that your nation is capable of producing any such technology as of yet. It still stands that your nation is relatively small and you would have to have at least 500 million people before I would believe that your nation has the economic strength to develop this technology. This is how my nation feels and my colleagues here in Pacitalia feel, but I do not know whether Nutropinians or their government feel the same.
