The Black Crusade (Attn. Involved Nations)
Chronosia

The skies of Chronosia were black; blocked out by the massive and finally completed battlefleets; the great scourge of the stars...The clouds were darkened by the soot and billowing emissions from a thousand forgeries and furnaces; and the ground was thick with men.
Great warriors in Power armor walked among the shambling hordes of Uruks; alongside the hissing manifestations of the Warp. The legions of the reverred Daemon emperor were united for one purpose....The Great War had come....The Black Crusade at last.
Banners billowed with ancient and blasphemous runes; the palace walls were adorned with the sigils of doom, as upon the balcony the assembled Primarchs looked out over their armies...And their Master stepped forward; the great One, Marcus De Drakan. He smirked to see it; and saluted his forces with raised, clenched fist.
"My brethern in war! Assembled allies and aids. We begin today. This day the stars will be stained red with the blood of all who would oppose us! Today we go to War! Today we take this wretched Galaxy, for the Dark Gods! And all will bow and tremble at our coming! Come forth, allies of the Empire, brothers bound by Chaos! Show us what you bring to the fold!"

DNN News:
For many years Dontgonearthere has maintained a somewhat peaceful relationship with the rest of the Galactic community, headed the GDA and administrated the International Mall. Today, we are taking more active steps.
Having announced our alliance with the Catchan Chaos Alliance, as well as a number of economic/military deals with them to support their Black Crusade, we are now mobilizing the standing military to its full level of activity, and calling up our reserves.
(A video shot appears, showing a Century of power armoured soldiers marching in lockstep. The shot slowly pans out, showing seemingly endless squares of black armour marching through G'oaway (DGNT capitol) streets, Dontgonear'the Castle looms in the background, just visible are the many workers restoring its outer armour, which was damaged a bit in the Royalist Coup)
GLACORP has also announced its support of our support of the Black Crusade, and has added a compulsory eight hours to the work week for all personel, including management. As of today an estimated fifty thosand GC11 assault rifles were produced in G'oaway alone, these will be distrubuted to both the DGNT militia forces currently being mobilized and the Chaos troops who require them.
(The shot cuts to a GLACORP factory, huge automatic machines are pouring molds, rifling barrels, and packaging rifles. Workers, seemingly tiny, scurry amoung the machines, frantically fixing whatever goes wrong, making adjustments and generaly trying to look useful.)
The DGNT Mecha Corps has been brought to full activity, including the three hundred Korogoth SuperHeavy Assault Mechs. These will be placed at the disposal of Chaos forces, with their massive armaments they will no doubt prove useful in, say, massacring cities. We know the Chaos forces are fond of this.
The Space forces have made an especially impressive showing, with four active Piledrivers remaining in DGNT services and two of those currently assigned to Chaos forces a nunmber of converted civilian Piledrivers are being brought in and refitted for military duty again.
(Now the shot shows Pax, a DGNT star system, with its massive shipyards. There are two especially large constructions, each one is nearly fifty kilometers long, designed to hold and construct Piledriver class ships. Inside each one of the giagantic ships floats, an especialy bright spark shows up every now and then on the camera.
Grouped around these are the 'normal' shipyards, which produce capital ships. These are all active, showing skeletal DGNT Fleet Ships. Fighters and completed ships form a large sphere around the entire assembly, protecting it from any offensives.)
With our help, the Black Crusade shall succeede, and the standard speech about Chaos and all that.
King Rober of D'pressin has issued his praise of the industries, the Chaos alliance and the DGNT militaries. He furhter adds that the opposition are idiots and should surrender now before their loans are called in.

What I wonder is; is this the thread where the war will take place of just the place where your troops will be rallying?
If it's the latter I may put observers in your path so that my Farseer can have a better image of what is about to happen.Just let me know.

The Great King Joseph XXII has tenatively pledged his support to the Chaos Alliance, and will be sending the 2nd Battlefleet, 3rd Strike Force, 5th Recon Group, 2nd & 3rd Occupation Fleets, 4th Support Fleet, the Red Guard, and the Dark Fleet to support them. This is a major mobilization, and show the level of support being given to this offensive. Production of ammunition and fuel cores has been ramped up by an addditional 30%, and the 2nd spare equipment warehouse has been opened for use by our and allied forces. The warehouse contains slightly out of date equipment, including hundreds of Starshimmer fighters and older bomber designs. Additionally, there will be 10% off all purchases of equipment from our shipyards for our allies. The Al-Imvad king has ordered all of this, and it will be done according to his wishes. He hopes that his contribution will be appreciated. It is time that the domination of small, insignificant Earth over this galaxy is brought to an end.

Ever since the black and foul chaos of the warp decimated the farm world of the Ravanos System, the Holy empire of Azaha had been mobilizing for war. Every ship in the Imperium of Azaha had been undergoing refitting, assuring that every combat ship had the most updated weapons, sheilds, and systems. The major ground forces training specificly to take down thier chaos foes, arming themselves with plasma weapons, heavy bolters, and normal assault weapons.
The Grey Knights, champoins of the Ordo Malleus and humanity, prepped for the grand war that was ahead of them. They chanted, meditated and prepped thier holy weapons and armor, readying to smite thine chaos enemies. The weakest of the Grey Knights were as strong as the strongest Space Marine. Thier armor more ancient then Imperium battleships, and more attuned to defend them against the taint and threat of Chaos. Thier melee weapons, Nemesis Force weapons, the most powerful weapons to be handled within the imperium. Psykers one and all, each one able to wield the mental power of a librarian, able to smite the chaos foe with thier minds. Rough 1000 of these champions of humanity readied themselves, ready to take on this chaos threat head on.
The Inquisitorial Stormtroopers, the Ordo Malleus counterparts of the Imperial Guard also prepped themselves. Like the Grey Knights with thier Space Marine brethren. the most poorly trained Stormtrooper were more trained then the most highly trianed Imperial Guard. These soldiers of man were more equipped then most Galactic armies, endless weapons, aircraft, and heavy armor at thier disposal.
They continue to prep for war... for the inevitable conflict to arise.

Warlock Fur-Illyum was entombed in his Wraithbone Amplifier. He was in conversation with his Farseer, Hanisthar.
- But your highness don't you find this a little bit suicidal?, he asked without uttering a word.
- No I have all the trust in your abilities as a commander you proved many times your worth against the mon-keighs and you're the one amongst all of my council to know the mon-keighs tactics.I've seen what is going to happen and I need you to accomplish this task for the sake of Saim-Hann.
- I understand but what if your visions are true and we're truly facing our most ancient enemy.I have difficulty seeing those wretched beings having only a few ships or at least anything that I could do something against. They're most likely to overwhelm us.And if their deceased warrior are there in any number I doubt that we will be able to do anything. How this would enlighten the way of our beloved Saim-Hann.You must have another way to know their strenght.
- Fur-Illyum that's enough it's not of your kin to be so affraid of going to battle. That is unless you have foreseen a fate which I missed or misinterpreted.
Eventhough the room was empty and only the slow cakcling of burning incent was disturbing the stillness, Hannisthar brainwaves disturbed the air around Fur-Illyum.His Farseer was beginning to get restless over his pitiful fears and even if the telepathic link was hundred of kilometers long Hannisthar was still able to interact with energies inside Fur-Illyum's room.
- Forgive my worried mind my highness. It's just that I don't understand how the certain loss of our ships will highten the cause of Saim-Hann.
- That's enough I said!!!
Fur-Illyum was thrusted through the wraithbones seat.Images of dying mon-keighs, entire nations decimated, huge wall of flames racing through children and women, the boarding of Saim-Hann by chaos monstrosities, the death of the entire Wraithcore. All of that was projected directly through Fur-Illyum's mind's eye.
- Do you see why I need you to undergo this mission for us!!!, Hannisthar continued screaming in his mind.I cannot see anything past the runes and it's too dangerous to dive directly into the warp.I'm afraid I might let something awful penetrate our sacred grounds. It's too dangerous all I gathered is that you must move with your force to the Chronosia system and report to me the exact nature of this disturbance, she was now thinking in a much more comforting tone.
- I understand Kul Mensha Hannisthar I will undergo this mission with pride and bring back the information you need.
- Good Fur-Illyum, may Khaine and Vaul be with you!
With that Hannisthar retired from his mind leaving a soothing and very feminine sensation through Fur-Illyum 's body.He opened the Wraithbone Amplifier and started the walk back to the command core of the Aconite frigate...

OOC: Just assume that a very small fleet of Eldar ships have now entered your system(Chronosia).
They've got Holo-Fields meaning they don't appear on anything that uses any kind of electro-magnetic or optic radiations as their detecting mediums.I don't know if you have Psykers in your forces.I assume you do and that would be the only way to detect those Eldars since there's quite a lot of them and Fur-Illyum is sending back information on your fleet and war preparations back to the craftworld using telepathic link.
If you want to have a psychic battle or a conventionnal one Fur-Illyum will certainly detect it when you launch it.If this happens he will flee back in the warp and return to Saim-Hann.What remains to be seen is whether you can catch them before that happens.Teleporting inside the ship is also a possibility.
The Eldar fleet is composed of 1x Arconite-class frigate (http://store.us.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.us?do=Odd&odd=NewLayout&_do=List_Models&code=5757) and 6x Shadowhunter-class Escorts (http://store.us.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.us?do=Odd&odd=NewLayout&_do=List_Models&code=6858).

Chronosian troops boarded transports, a steady line of ships headed for the vast fleet above. Aboard their personal flagships, the Primarchs watched with growing pride and glee; rallying their forces and arranging their vast armies.
On board the Capital ship of the entire fleet; the 'Ecstacy of Slaanesh', the Emperor looked out into the void; seeking outwards with his mind. Projecting to all who would listen; his troops warmed to images of burning worlds; of the Ordo Malleus in flames; of ships dieing in nosedives of terrible fire.
He say the Craftworlds of Eldar burning in the void; he saw the webway blacken with his presence; recipticle of ancient knowledge in his grasp....he saw the doom of all races thus at hand. And then...he paused; there was something here.
He chuckled, looking out into the blackness, his vast psychic power reaching out; he felt the mind of The Dying; the psychically attuned Eldar...And he chuckled wryly.
"There are enemy vessels within the sector...Ready the Obliterator cult."
"Aye Lord..."
"Then Order them to teleport to key positions on the main ship. They are here to watch; let us give them a show...I care not if a few men fall for my entertainment.."

Arriving currently in the Chronosia system to meet with the commanders and discuss targets is the Flagship of the Dark Fleet, the King Joseph XXII and its escort craft. Onboard is Grand Admiral Fussha, who is in charge of this effort, he is accompanied by his staff and a representative of the Tkalgren Mercenary Fleet.

Fur-Illyum was gazing at the stars in front of his frigate. The sun was on his back powering the Solar Sails pumping billion of watts of energy inside the ship's Wraithcore.A flash of psychic energy amongst the star caught his attention. He focused on it for a while but the telepathic stench made him nauseous. The encounter lasted mere seconds but it made him sick.He instantly recognized what that meant.Ancient forces had been awakened in this system and they were scouting through the very bones of his body. They did exactly what he was doing to them.Searching to gauge the enemy before the battle.
With that he tried once more to find the elusive psychic wave.He pinned it somewhere in the infinite void and delved deeper in it.He analyzed all of the past of the being that emitted it.Found what he was looking for and then quickly retreated sensing instantly that this was a very powerful psyker.Staying any longer could reveal there exact position and even the schematic of the ship and their intent here in Chronosia. The mere task had weakened him. This was a powerful being, Fur-Illyum being a member of the Seer Council of Saim-Hann this surprised him.He had fought many mon-keihs but this one was powerful, powerful enough to precipitate the visions of Hannisthar.
- Halonesthil prepare the ship for warp jump and expect a boarding action. They are coming!!!, he said with his real voice.
- Yes my lord.
- And after you're finished with that prepare my battle suit and the Singing Spear.
With that said Fur-Illyum sent all the info to Hannisthar back in Saim-Hann.
P.S: I'll be gone for the night and I'll be back maybe tomorrow evening.

Reality tore and rent as the monstrosities appeared on the ship; their bodies living weapons, moving and shifting into new configurations of death; raining down black fury and havoc as they appeared. Flesh moved and tore; guns blazed in fury as they attacked the ship and any crew near them; power claws and las cannons roared in the ship as one by one, Obliterators found their prey.
The roars of the black beasts echoed through the ship; as on his flagship the Emperor found the Eldars mind once more.
"FOOL" The psychic message screamed "Did you think you could contend with the will of Chaos?" Hundreds, no thousands, of signals flooded the mind of the Eldar as the extent of the Chronosian fleet was revealed; no structural details or numbers of crew, merely the sheer number of them.
"Even the Craftworlds of the Dying shall burn....You could be spared...Reveal to me....The Secret of the Black Library...."

Makalith sat on the throne of Blood, around him the moat of slave blood cerculated around the thones base. He saw the 50 witch elves walk into the room, their bodies covered in blood and smiled. He sent them out, standing as they left, and went to the middle of the throne room. None other dared to whitness this event, for power unlike any other elf had mastered was going to be used. His eternal armour was clasped around him, and on his belt sat the magic blade destroyer. He stood in the exact center. Carved into the floor was the mark of Vhid Jabbuk Khain. Makalith started to chant, low at fisrt, but gaining in strength.
"Vhid Jabbuk Khain, sila uns'aa doeb d'lil veldrin," He wispered. "Belbau uns'aa l' yorn d' dosst phreng, jous uns'aa nindel dos vel'klar neitar elggen, nindel tangis' nin dos ilstar l' warp xuil biu Vholk drokk." He said in a louder tone. The Knight's savior dropship brought him down to the citadel of the Inquisition built upon Azaha IV. He was brought into a dark room, deep within a temple dedicated to the true Emporer. They removed what remianed of his charred Aegis armor. He was set on a simple wooden chair. There he sat for what seemed like an eternity before an Inquisitor clad in robes and peices of armor strode in slowly, and faced the Knight.
"What happened on that ship, brother?"
The scenes raced through his mind, blood, gore, fire, then finally, the Chaos sorceror. "We stopped in the warp... Admiral Asagai was possessed... we fought... my brothers died... Brother... they plan to invade the imperium of man... and the galaxy..."
The Inquisitor looked at the Knight, a face of almost horror stretched across his face. "Yes brother... we already knew of this... but this kind of confirmation... is startling... go rest brother, go heal, and be ready to fight."
"Yes brother..."

Fleet Admiral Armishaw dropped the picture on Harold Juxton's desk. He was again the Prime Minister as the Conservative party had failed to pass it's bill through parliment and the Green Party had won a majority in the subsequent election.
Harold looked at the picture, his jaw dropped. "Is this real?" He asked unbelievangly.
"Yes sir. Every disgusting bit of it!" Armishaw spat. "And OISI says that we can expect," he paused with hate, "massacres like this if these Chaos nations aren't stopped."
Harold took of his glasses and rubbed the bridge of his nose, "What do you mean?"
"I mean that this 'Black Crusade' won't stop till everything good in the galaxy has been destroyed. This isn't going to be some little skirmish." Armishaw paused and looked Harold on the eyes, "This is war."

A Thunderhawk dropship plunged through the Azahan atmosphere, bearing marks of old Chronosian, of IMperium and Inquisition; and from it stepped a proud and regal man, strong of mind and body; black hair pooling about his shoulders. He stepped forward; bearing a Nemesis force weapon; a long pole topped with a sharpened blade. He glanced about him, Aegis armor glimmering in the sunlight.
"I must speak with the Ordo Malleus! I can aid them against the black doom that looms upon all"
OOC: THis guy is an Inquisitor; one of the last survivors of Old Chronosia. I thought it would be fun to introduce him and have him fight :)
I love the Daemonhunters, and wanted a chance to RP as them and with them
As the strange inquisitor stepped forth from his thunderhawk, instantly a squad of 5 Grey Knight Terminators surrounded him. Out from the temple came another Inquisitor, no armor, but hefting a large hammer, which sparked with what seemed electricity.
The Terminators stepped aside, creating a semi-circle. The Inquisitor stepped forward and eyed the stranger.
"I am Inquisitor Redge, what have you... brother?"

I have returned; one of few survivors of the fall of Chronosia...I come here to offer my hand, battle brother....For the innumerable tides of darkness that threaten to consume us, are those of Chronosia and the allies she has sought and found. Marcus, Emperor, has fallen into shadow; taken by the foulness of the Immaterium and remade....He gathers an army to him, to shatter those who would oppose him; and bring darkness to countless worlds. And Azaha will be his first target"
At the word 'Chronasian' the Terminators all put thier own nemesis force swords to the stranger's throat. Redge hefted his hammer menacingly. Redge, a rather old man of around 200, his face wrinkled, and wrinked even more at that word.

The Tower of the city of Naggeroth, the Tower of the True king, suddenly was consumed in black fire. The People where not fearful, for this would mean their king had mastered one of the four powers. The temple of khains ground echos with screams as a thousand slaves where killed as a gift to the Witch King.
Inside the tower, it was pure black, except for the mark, which glowed with orange fire. Outside, three great beings of immense size stood, with one more behind the lot, almost 50 times bigger then the rest. Inside the Mark, Makalith stodd with a blade across the neck of a elf.
"Rise father," Makalith said, smiling. "You fell to their power? You where always so strong." Makalith's burnt face was livid. "I fought for you, I save our race, I saved the elves, and when you died you became ONE OF THEM!" He nearly seavered the mans head, but stoped himself. "But you are no longer my father are you? You are Slaanesh, and I have beasted you." He smiled, "So, you are mine for this crusade." He smiled. "I so LOVE the old one magic, it works so well."

The ships began to drive through the atmosphere, swooping through the air until they were over the field, then pausing for a few minutes to drop the large cargo containers secured to their sides before rocketing back into space at top speed and vanishing into hyperspace. Several ships were diverted to the sides of the field, where they began offloading infantry and armour. Then the Darkness dissapered. Slaanesh had left, but Makalith knew he was able to call his deamons at will. That was the weakness of Chaos, they had unlimited power, but they could not use it outside the warp, and had to relly on deamons to finish the task. Makalith was a deamon, but of a different kind. He was the son of the one who ad started the fall of the Eldar. Well, the elves anyway. She had dissapered at the time of the fall of the eldar, and she was the first of the searvents of Slaanesh. Makalith smiled, then walked to the top of the tower. There he stood on the top of the high platform, his arms outstreached. He could see the fleet above, with a full ten Black Arks. Around them stood the smaller craft, as well as the transports. He yelled, and The black dragons of Nyggrathi returned the sound. It was following this that he smiled. Below, on the mustergrounds of the city, stood thousand of warriors. They had their weapons on their shoulders, Skimmers, tanks, beasts and the Seperate Elite units. Witch elves marked the temple side of the city, and there where exacutioners coming in the North gate. He looked in glee as they mounted their transports, ready to move at their target, the craft world of Siam-Hann.
Redge dropped his hammer to one hand and sighed. He knew the rules, and he knew that the stranger was right.
"Fine, Brother, you shall have your audiance with the Archon. Be lucky you know your stuff. I will take you right to him, follow me. Brothers, keep a close eye on him, escort us."
Redge and his retuine, along with the stranger walked through the courtyard of the citadel. The walk was about 5 minutes, before they ended up to a massive stone entrance. The walls themselves were etched with ancient runes, meant to keep demons at bay. They all walked through the massive halls, the ceiling atleast 20m high. Finally after a few turns, they made it to the throne room of Archon Lash.
Redge and his Terminator guard kneeled before him, who was talking with another Inquisitor, about the coming battle.
Lash turned his attention to the arrivals and raised an eyebrow. Lash looked farely young for being over 200 years old. He had boyish features and long blond hair. Under his robes his body was toned and agile.
"Archon, this Inquisitor of old Chronasia wishses to speak to you..."

Randall went on his knees in pious worship, bowing his head. "Mentor" He spoke; reverently and with honor.
"I come before you because you need my skill and my blade; for I know of the Darkness that comes against us and wish to fight it as your hand and your fist once more. You sense it; you know it to be true, and know that not only do I speak truth, but that I am pure of corruption. No member of this order has yet fallen...And I come before you; humbled warrior; seeking to aid you, beleagured friend of old"

The Emperor turned and pressed a button, opening a channel with the Al-Imvad fleet.
"I am in charge here; you will enter formation with the main Chronosian fleet and once all are assembled; we shall begin....Our first target is Azaha; and you have proven yourself worthy by appearing here...You will be rewarded of the spoils of their destruction..."
Another signal cut in; Remiel spoke.
"The Grey Knights and the Ordo Malleus are mine....The Angelus Ater will show them the meaning of pain my Lord, and with their demise, I will bring you the Librarium Daemonicus..."
"Perfect; with that, none shall stop us in our pursuit of the knowledge of the Ancients"

OOC: Wow, this really took off, in one day, three pages, (grumbles at speed of posters)
IC: The sounds of war filled the smog-chocked sky of skaven-held worlds. Ever since the grey seer, Liskitt had sent back a message from chronosian space, war had been smelled. A number of decrees followed, issued by the council, notably to withdraw all foreword ships except for the spooks. Factory production increased, even the millennia old factories that produced the ancient AK-47 ground and gnashed as gears and cylinders turned, massive scrap heaps of these weapons were handed out, arming entire planets. Mines would collapse from overuse, and simply it would be mined the next day after more slaves arrived. Vast breeding pits and laboratories echoed with the cries of the unfortunates in the hands of Moulder as their twisted experiments were carried out. New, more powerful (if unreliable :)) weapons were put into production by the warlock engineers of Skyre. Pestlins roused the masses with fiery speeches and the promise of inheritance. Eshin simply enforced this, while silencing opposition or rebels. New ships were brought in and refitted with warpstone engines, shields, weapons and the fuel. Space hulks and other derelict craft were patched up and crewed. Chapters of spaven with space marine vehicles were assembled into their appointed positions. Tanks, aircraft, mechs, each reproduced in the thousands every day. Training of new soldiers was carried out every day, fresh battalions were produced regularly. And soon, the council was to give a public speech, while it may not be very important to outsiders, this is very amazing to the skaven, only once, did the skaven step out of the council chambers, that was when their race was first made by warpstone….
OOC: Sorry for quality/brevity, I just needed something to tag it and show that I actually am doing something….
OOC:Haha! Your savouir is here! The Soul Drinkers shall save you all! Mhuaaaaaa! Anyway, I have a vague idea of what is going on. Anything vital I should know?
IC: Librarian Sarpedon stood upon the bridge of the Gundog, a Soul Drinkers Strike Cruiser. He was wondering why Gorgoleon had sent him to defend a back water planet from Chaos. Well, it was Chaos after all.
'How far untill contact?' He questioned Tellos.
'A couple of hours, sir.'
'Good. I shall brief you all in one hour.' With that Sarpedon strode off into his chambers...
Behind the Gundog were more ships. Carnivore, Unendingly Just, Sanctifiers Son, Deacon Byzantine, Mare Infurnum, Glory and DamagePlan. The were travling through warp route 128, straight to Azaha's home planet...
Sarpedon returned from his chambers to the briefing room. Within the room were 8 other Marines, maniloy squad leaders. Apothecary Pallas
Brother Tellos, Chaplain Iktin, Brother Givrillian, Brother Phodel, Tech-Marine Lygris, Brother Daenythos and Brother Caeon were perched around a long oak table. Tellos was the first to speak, 'Give it to us straight. What are we facing.' Sarpedon sighed.
'Chaos. Deamons. Tratiors. You name it. Anything from the Eye of Terror. With the companies here, we should have no problem defending the planet. Rumor has it that more chapters shall help us.'
'But we have been classed as Excommunicate, wont they attack us on sight?' The voice belonged to Caeon, his many eyes blinking.
Sarpedon's eight archnoid legs twitched as he shifted his weight around, 'There is a chance,' he opened his arms, as if to hug, 'but we can defend our selves!'
The ships neared their destination, all that was left was to arm the ships weaponery and the battle-rights....
OOC2: Yes, the Soul Drinkers have been banished from the Imperium and they have mutations from the warp. They believe the Emperor is sending them visions, but it is Abbadon's minions. Any loyal chapter has the right to attack them on sight, so I'm hoping for that to happen..... (More info can be given if requested....)

OOC: Same here
IC: There was an eerie environment about the world of Final Fantasy. As if something was about to happen... Displeased, the rulers of FFH decided to strengthen their military for whatever came. Paladins and Dragoons were knighted, Mages were graduated, aircrafts and tanks built, Dragonships completed. If there really came a full-on war, they'd be ready to at least defend...
Xessmithia

Officers hurried through the tunnels of Xessmithian Command Center deep underground in the Crystal Sky Mountain Range. The war room was packed with the top brass of the Xessmithian armed forces and OISI. A the massive central holotank showed the spinning galaxy, numerous places where being higlighted and expanded for use of various officers.
Fleet Admiral Armishaw expanded Xessmithian space. Space in a 30 light-year radius sphere was tinged the light blue which represented the FTL interfering spacial anomaly known to Xessmithia as the No-Fly-Zone, the image then zoomed in on the Xess system and three fleet icons appeared. "As you can see we've divided our mobile forces into three fleets, First, Second and Third Fleets respectively. Each has roughly equal strength due to be re-enforced by the Confederate Shipyards which are now in war-time production of military material. With the increased work hours and personnel we should have doubled each fleets strength and be well on the way to having a Fourth and Fifth within 10 months. This won't be cheap, we're dipping rather heavily into the reserve obtained from Warhaven's payment for their energy sail."
"Yes I know, but we don't have a choice. How's recruitment coming?" Asked Harold Juxton.
"Very well. We won't have any problem keeping our personnel strength up." Armishaw replied.
"Excellent, what about the strategic situation."
Armishaw brought another section of the galaxy up, this one centered on a burnt crisp of a world. "As you know this was the first major action we were aware of by the so called Chaos forces."
Admiral Harper of the OISI spoke up next, "As far as we can tell this kind of mass destruction can be expected from the enemy. As well we can't expect them to follow any humanitarian practices in regards to warfare." Harper took a breath, "As such we're issuing suicide pills to all of our forces to be used in case of enemy capture. Dealing with monsters like these, death is the more human option." He brought up a display of weapons on the tank, "I also suggest pulling out all the stops when engaging the enemy, I recomend you authorize the full use of NBC warfare."
"Are you certain that's necessary Admiral?" Harold asked mournfully.
"Sir, we're dealing with an enemy who will destroy planets without a second thought, they won't hesitate to use NBC weapons, and neither should we." Harper stated sternly.
"Very well, I hereby authorize the full use of NBC weapons."
"Very good sir," Armishaw said, "Now on to where we can expect engagement." Yet another area of space was expanded on the tank, "This is Azaha, they're the rulers of the planet which was burned off. We've inferred from the fact that the first strike was against a world they held that they are the primary target. I request permission to send Second Fleet to their system to aid in defence."
"Granted." Harold said without hesitation, he wouldn't stand by and let another world die by the hands of these monters without a fight.

Now that those Creo Tellus people are dealt with, I can post here!
IC:
"Chronosia Prime, this is Glacorp Transport services, were done. Jumping system before we get trouble."
The fleet of cargo ships was gone...
What remained was a very, very large stack of 100x50 cargo containers, many with 'Warning: Corrosive' or biohazard symbols on the side, the stack filled almost the entire area.
"This is General Carth Arkanian, commander of DGNT ground forces for the Black Crusade. Just letting you fellows know were here and asking where you want us to store this stuff. You should know, some of these things are pretty damn scary, we have enough Ebola here to wipe out every planet for eighty lightyears in every direction. Ah, and Command says there are two more Dessicator satilites for your planet burning pleasure."
Apparently some of the containers had hovertrucks in them, because several of the huge transports were being loaded now.
---
In space the DGNT fleet ships had finnaly stopped arriving, a few had deployed dropships to finish deploying the forces down on Chronosia Prime. The rest had established a high orbit above the planet, centering around the two Piledriver class ships, making most everything else around the planet look tiny.
Doomingsland

Meanwhile, the Doomans had been breeding an army for the Black Crusade...
Planet of Darkforge, Dooman Space
The planet that somewhat resembled Isengard from Lord of the Rings had been quite busy. Deep below the firey pits, in the mud like substance that the legionnaries were created in, a new breed of Dooman was emerging from the mud.
A tall humanoid figure rose from the mud pit, terrifying the little worker drones that tended to the soldiers. It was eight feet high, and had large fangs pertruding upwards. It was even tougher looking than regular Doomans. The Sith commander of the planet, Lord Aulus, greeted his new minion.
"Greetings, Lurtz, I trust your creation was painless?"
"All service in the name of the Gold Skull is painless, lord." came the grunted response from the creature.
"Excelent, for today you shall lead the army of Lord Revan to war against the nonbelievers. The Black Crusade is once more!"
As he said that, more of the being rose from beneath the mud. Hundreds. Thousands. Millions. All destined to be used as cheap but effective cannon fighter against the various Imperiums that stood in the way of Chaos.

Adm Fussha recieved the message and took it with a grain of salt. Al-Imvadjah had no quarrel with Azaha. He was waiting for the inevitable declaration of war against some major Earth-based power. Then he'd be excited. But he had to keep up appearances. He sent a message requesting the location of and Azahan colonies or facilities that would be deserving of minor strikes. He also sent a message to the rest of the fleet, telling them to power up weapon systems and prepare for iminent battle.

Their objective; the complete and total destruction of Azaha and the Ordo Malleus; and the claiming of the things that the Emperor needed.
On thousands of ships, millions of soldiers cried out bloody warcries; roaring in dark prayer and worship to their gods. The crusade had finally begun, and they would know victory, death and glory...

OOC: So, the situation as I see it now is:
Chaos is attacking Azaha, forces of order are going there to fight back, eldar are hiding. Is that about right?
IC: Skaven everywhere were watching, some crammed themselves, going to lengths of standing on each other, others watched from viewing screens on space ships, the rest listened to it on farsqueekers. The twelve figures were assembled on a raised balcony, surrounding them and most of the crowd was the finest deathvermin out of the spaven chapters, agents of eshin stalked through out the crowd, even if they were armed, they would make little effect on the warpshields surrounding them. In the middle of the varied circle, was a chair, on the back was the banner of the horned rat, as he symbolically completes the council.
The most prominent figure, Grey Lord Gnawdoom, was the first to speak, his voice rang of centuries of hardships and noble victories, of unspeakable evil, and of the glory of the under-empire, "My fellow brethren, children of chaos, long have we labored for this day, a millennia of toil to produce these fruits, but, this must be harvested, and between us and our fellow brethren are the scum of the imperium, they must be crushed before our lord's promise can be fulfilled..." He ended his part and stepped back into the half circle.
A paunch skaven, bloated with disease, his flesh hanging off in tatters like a torn rags, bleeding holes were his eyes were, continuously weeping pustules and festering wounds, this was plague lord Nurglitch, leader of clan pestlins, he spoke, his voice much different, sounding like someone drowning in water, only for him, it was phlegm, "True rulers of the universe, long have the non-furred and unbeliever resisted us, now with aid from fellow chaos, the horned rat's decree shall be fulfilled, it shall be we, not the foul humans, that walk on the surface of planets, we who shall live in the sun while they rot in the sewers and tunnels, and WE who shall be VICTORIOUS." A roar of cheering from all the skaven followed this..
Gnawdoom spoke one final time before they returned to the council chambers, "And know this, the hopes of all the under empire march with our soldiers, work with our industrial workers, so, remember that they go not for personal satisfaction, but to ensure our INHERITANCE!" After that, the council solemnly walked back inside the gloom, while the masses cheered like never before. While this was given, fleet coordinates were given out to the ships. Slowly, many green fireflies came alive, and the ships began to make their first move....

Now; I think I'll wait a while, give Order a chance to post defenses and rally themselves a bit more. Remember, this is but the beginning. Its going to be a long, gruelling and brutal campaign
Archon Lash stepped forward, touched the stranger's head with his forefingers and probed his mind. Undoubtably the stranger would feel power beyond compare, such a power near impossible... except if you used the warp's energies as your own....
"Indeed brother, you speak truth, rise my friend." Lash awaited a moment and began. "Yes brother... we will need all the aid we can gather for this conflict. The demons and traitor marines mass out of our reach... and they mass much. We will undoubatbly lose this great war, but atleast we will weaken them enough, for others to destroy them utterly."
Lash sparked with raw power, showing his apparent eagerness for the conflict. "Go now brother, train, rest, feed, I will call all Inquisitors at dusk."
High above the planet of Azaha IV, a fleet unlike any Azahan has ever seen began to mass. Ships of all sizes and shapes came intot he fleet. Nearly 400 Emporer (http://store.us.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.us?do=Odd&odd=NewLayout&_do=List_Models&code=5766) class and Retribution (http://store.us.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.us?do=Odd&odd=NewLayout&_do=List_Models&code=5773) class battleships, the biggest ships in the Imperium of man. Randall bowed his head and moved from Archon; the great war needed strong warriors and so he would rest; recuperate...And soon he would face his daemons; and his homecoming would be bloody and swift.
At the edge of the Azahan system, space rent itself apart as the massive Chaos fleet of Chronosia loomed from the blackness.
Ships moved with alien sounds; drums of war and chants of insidious prayer rang out like sonic waves of fury; the hulls glittered with archaic runes of arcane power and the Dark Gods were venerated in every way on every ship. Slaves were sacrifice; men were annointed with plague ichors and fuelled by sensation...The doom of all had arrived; and fire burned in the hearts of each and every man.
All were armed; all were readyed; war was their calling and they came forth with a willingness to serve and die....And then they stopped; on the edge of the system, the fleet ceased to move; and the Emperor stood forth on the bridge of the Ecstacy of Slaanesh, Lightning claw closing around the image of the system in his viewscreen.
"People of Azaha, Knights of the Inquisition; fools in the face of Death. I offer you one chance; yield, and avert your doom..."
And the reply to the message was a simple "You shall all be purged, sent back from the horrid warp from which you came..."
Archon Lash had called all the inquisitors early, upon hearing of the black chaos fleet approaching.
"My brothers, my friends, my brethren. The fleet of the dark gods has fallen upon our door step. Even now the mighty Imperial fleet prep themselves, ready to spearhead the traitor marine fleet head on. They know they will not win against such a force, they only hope to weaken them severely enough to make them think twice before invading Azaha IV with thier vile touch. We shall prevail, we shall purge! The Emporer's will is our sheilds, his power our weapons, his might our hammers. Go forth, prepare your respected regiments, companies, battalions. Make sure no able Grey Knight or Stormtrooper is left unready. Go forth my brothers!"
With a terrific "Hurrah!" the inquisitors of the Ordo Malleus trotted off to thier men, prepping them, readying them to face the vile chaos and thier traitor marine servants.
Above the planet, the fleet took its posotion. Many ships hid behind massive ateroids that plagued the system, but were now a god send. Many others floated right in the open, hoping to attract the chaos into an ambush. Many squadrons of Firestorm and Sword frigates flew at the chaos fleet, an attempt to haox them into combat.

The Chronosian fleet did not move; did not stir; did not rise to their foes bait; instead they waited; the Emperor transmitting only a single message to his allies;
"Now..."
They waited, even as enemy ships tried to lure them out; and then, pausing, surveying the void with eager eyes, the Emperor chuckled.
"Move all ships to yellow alert; activate defensive positions on my order; full power to shields and point defences....Now"
Shields flickered and stirred in the blackness and the vast fleet slid forward, towards the Azahan worlds; a vast wedge formation; countless smaller ships protecting the larger ships. Cruisers and Frigates moved slowly; as fighters stirred and dived between them; and with a blast of lancer fire and the mighty crackle of a Warp cannon; battle was joined
The frigates whipped around in what seemed ike fright, unable to react fast enough tot he sudden power up of the chaos ships. The frigates returned fire, futilessly. Many frigates were destroyed in the first volley of lance and warp cannon fire. Only a few squadrons survived to race back to the rest of thier fleet, who were cycling missiles, ready to strike at the chaos fiends.
Many Emporer class battleships released thier starhawk and furry interceptor squadrons. Other smaller cruisers and frigates lay in wait behind the massive asteroids.
On the planet, Grey Knights and Inquisitorial Stormtroopers hurried and got into thier respective posistions, awaiting the inevitable.

Vice Admiral Dylan O'Conner stood patiently on his flag bridge, he could smell the fresh paint of the massive monitor from which he was commanding Second Fleet. "Status?"
"Sir, Alcubierre wave decay in two minutes fifty seconds. Reactor at one-hundred percent, shields at full, LinAc and HetLaser batteries at eighty percent and charging at twelve percent per minute, automated intruder defense system online, atmosphere vented, we have obtained full general quarters. All ships report the same."
"Excellent." O'Conner said appreciatively, all of Second Fleet was ready to wage war. It was one of the mightiest forces ever assembled by Xessmithia containing one massive Midgard monitor, a Cetus Battle Dreadnaught and Cygnus Dreadnaught that filled out the super heavy battle line. The heavy battle line held five Halo Fleet Carriers, seven Vision and five Bradbury Battleships. The medium line was comprised of six Pelican Assault Carriers, eight Fermi Battle Cruisers and sixteen Endeavour Cruisers. The final line, the light line, was formed by twenty-one Cyclone Destroyers, thirty-five Hera/B Frigates and seventy-nine Raptor Corvettes. O'Conner smirked, "Give me fleet wide general comm."
"It's yours sir."
"Today marks the start of a new era of Xessmithian, no Galactic history. An era of strife, an era of death an era of fighting for our very survival... an era of war. I may die here but my death will only be the harbinger of your decadent, decaying and corrupted mind. You're a fool if you think that the Dark Gods will ever grant you anything. The step you crossed by awakening them doomed you to be one of their minion forever thrashing and screaming in the vast oblivion. You will meet your end and when that happens the ones you serve will laugh at you and leave you stranded, slowly rotting in a desolate corner of the Great Void.Eldars are eternals, my corporeal death only means a second life to me and so I do not fear it.Come here and I will show you how eager I am to make the great travel.I am an Exodite!!! a Warlock!!!! your corrupted and primitive psychic powers do not disturb me!!!
With that Fur-Illyum took his fabled Singing Spear adjusted his Ghost Helm and walked to the holdings fo the ship where a cadre of chaos monstrosities had emerged. He walked a resolute pace, clenching his Spear and feeling the war god Kaela Mensha Khaine hunger inside him. Those pitiful mon-keighs would pay for what they had intended to do.

OOC I am going to edit the post a little, but nothing major will change, the thing will be tidied up, and there will be changes to the order, but what affects you shall be the same. Also, concernng that we are Dark Eldar, we are not, we are Dark ELVES, complealty different. See This for more info http://www.criticalhit.co.uk/wfrp/bestiary_dark_elves.shtml
IC THe Fleet moved slowly through space, at the front where the normal ships, followed by the ten black arks, and finalised by the Witch kings Personal FLag ship. The thing was twice the size as the Black Arks, and it's surface seemed to be alive. The Fleet carried almost 50 million warriors, As well as veicals and supplies to last ten years. The Druchii had planned this, to fight their Evil Breatheran.
There was proof they where related to this race, but these ones took the same gean pool as the High Elves, and as such bound to the same fate. The fleet sent out the three probes, and a hole in space and time in the shape of a triangle was opened, the fleet entered, then dissapered.
Once Inside the Warp, the fleet waited. Around them darkness shifted, but they didnot fear, they had the Witch King, Makalith Protecting them. THis was what the Witch King was gleening from their minds. The Black Arks had been catorgarized, one was the Ark of Khain, it was red in colour, and on board where the darker elements of the Army, Exocutioners, Witch Elves ((Like Banshees)) And Druchii Assasians. THe Next one was the Children of Khain's ((CSM Chapter under Khain)) transport. The 6 in the middle carries much the same thing, house forces, while the two wing ships carried the other element. The one next was the Command of the Cult of Plesure ((Other CSM Chapter under Slaanesh.)) And the Last was a Cultist Ship, filled with the Searvents of Morathii. The Witchs Kings personal Ship was filled with the 6 convents and the Black Guard. GHe sighed, This task would be hard, he was going to be matched, but that would make it all the more fun.
He glared at the Convent Sorceress's who immidiatly began the search of the warp for THe Eldar Craftworld. They where in luck, for they found the mind of a Warlock communicating with someone. The Witch King smiled, and around his trendials of Shadows connected to wires, which he used to piolit the fleet through the warp at amazing speed. Soon they where there, and they where ready.
The Ships exited the warp, a few hours later, and saw the mighty craftworld. They where awed at its size, and could not belive the number of men it would have taken to build it. THen they shrugged it off. Corsairs on the fleet ships primed weapons, The Black Arks began to unlock their secrates. THe Fleet was equal, if not larger then the Eldar fleet, and none would stand in their way. The Fleet was lined up, ready to break into formations on the order.

Near the Azahan sun a glare in the space outshone even the star itself. What emerged was a ship of incredible size.Viewed from tens of thousands of kilometer it still appeared to be bigger than a standard moon. The ship was of a beige tint and two huge spyres sprung from its center. At the base of these spyres numerous arms reached out in the space.A greenish luminescent mist was escaping from both spyres.Saim-Hann had arrived in system and the entire fleet of Vaul was escorting it.Flies they looked like only much more graceful floating through space like great fish schools undulating, vibrating and shimmering light off the Azahan star.

- Be seated my fellow Warlocks, Hannisthar said. With that 20 armored figures seated themselves on Wraithbone chairs.
- I have assembled you to discuss a very important matter.Like you must have felt a great danger has befallen this part of the universe. That is why Saim-Hann was moved from its normal course. The Durchii have found us and from what I was able to garner from the mind of Makkalith the Fallen he intends to attack us directly.I have now bought us a little time to consolidate our defense.Makkalith's power are immense by any means and we must conclude a matter here before it's too late.Only then will we be able to face Makkalith's forces head on, Hannisthar voices seemed weary.
- May I ask my highness why is it that we are here in Azaha a mon-keigh world home of the Inquisition?
- I was coming to that Jain-Tar.
The mon-keighs have on the prime planet of Azaha a place where tablets from the original Black Library are kept. This was a gift made to the Golden Throne millenias ago.It was kept secret here to protect it's knowledge from the Fallen Ones and power-hungry Pirates. Now it's not safe anymore.Corrupted mon-keighs are coming to raid this planet and we must secure this most prized item at all cost. The Runestones have told me its emplacement but I was not able to see if we would be able to retrieve it without opposition from the mon-keighs.In anyfate we must secure it ourselves.Mon-keighs minds are easily corrupted and losing this knowledge to rotten beings is unacceptable.
- But you said it yourself Durchii is coming to invade us opening a second front with the Mon-Keighs is nonsense.
- That's why we are now assembled. We must decide if we should do it ourselves or ask the help of the Black Library Guardians, the Solitaires.
- Does these most noble beings still exist?
- Trust me youngest one they guarded the Black Libray for eons they still exist and defend it.
- And how are the mon-keighs gonna react to that?
- That's the part I should play in this tragedy.I will go with the solitaires on the planet and ask for the tablets.Trust my abilities and your assembled faith will guide me to the chosen destiny.
- We find it very dangerous to your highness, they all said in unison.

"My Lord and Emperor! A Craftworld has appeared..."
"So; they want to play do they....We shall not engage the foolish ancients yet; a Black Tarot has told me of a tide of blackness for the shores of the Craftworld...We must distract our current foe; launch a volley of heavy warp cannon fire at the smaller asteroids; the debris will distract them....Charge the Ecstacy's main warp cannon. Let us show them the true power of the Warp! Open a channel to the Craftworld; if they can hear us....
"Eldar! Fools who oppose Slaanesh, the Destroyer! You will die if you enter this conflict; all who oppose me will die.....Stand down, and I will spare you for now....Or do you so eagerly seek death?"
The transmission finished; and the CHaos fleet fired at the smaller asteroids, covering fire attempting to keep the myriad fleet of fighters from them; as the Ecstacy's hull seemed to glow and crackle; the main warp cannon; dominating the ships structure roared to life; and a blast of warp struck out at the massive asteroid. Marcus watched its surface crack and burn....as it began to splinter

On Esthar, Final Fantasy Sector VIII, screens flickered madly as the supercomputers detected turbulence in a corner of space. "What is happening?", asked the chief researcher, Dr. Hannibal. "Sir, it seems there some kind of... unnusual occurrence near this planet." He pointed at Azaha. "It seems like a distortion of some kind... as if there was an interdimensional portal, like the ones Black Sun used." Dr. Hannibal grinned. They had used that opportunity to clone their technology. "This is interesting... I'll notify the Council."
Upon hearing the news, FFH's debated on the course of action. Most chose to find out what events befell that corner of the universe, and so, they recorded a transmission into a sattellite and tested their newest toy, the Intergalactic Telleporter.
Message:
Greetings, people of Azaha. We're the Nation of Final Fantasy Heroes. It came to our attention that strange events are taking place near your planet. Is there anything we can do to help? Save your reply into this device, and it'll be automatically telleported back to our nation.

As the Dooman fleet headed to join the Chronosians and others, the men were being rallied.
Cargo Hold of the World Cleanser Helldawg
Lurtz stood on top of a Madcat Mk.II Assault Mech, rallying his heavy marines,
"Children of the emperor! Listen now! Today we join our allies in a most Black Crusade against humanity!"
The men growled in response, banging their breastplates with their plasma rifles.
"Brothers! Take up the sword! Lock and load your weapons, for this battle shall prove most difficult. Just how we like it." he said to his men, a smirk upon his grotesque face. "Our first enemy is the Imperium of Azaha, worthy foes in their own right, but they are humans, and shall be slaughtered as such." he said, still smirking. "So, my brothers, remember this, and yake heary from it: today, we shall taste man-flesh!"
The men let out a loud roar, banging their weapons against their chests, and raising them in the air. The fleet would soon exit warp near the Chronosian Fleet, and the new Heavy Marines would receive their first test.

Admiral Fussha signaled for the Dark Fleet to jump into the Azahan System. He had ship's FTL engines activated and the command vessel forced its way out of normal space to travel to its target. He arrived at the same time as the rest of his fleet, dropping directly into formation. He examined his command screen and sensor readouts, looking over the engaging forces. After making a quick decision, he sent out his orders:
"Have the cruisers and destroyers split into two groups. One half move toward the planets, the other toward the opposing fleet. All capitalships are to provide covering fire against any targets that move to oppose them. Don't use the DBs and divert power from the DSs to regular shields. Let the enemy directly engage our allies while we provide cover fire."
His orders went out and 25 of the destroyes and 15 of the cruisers brke off to move toward the enemy worlds. Slightly more cruisers and destroyers turned toward the enemy fleet and began moving closer, while opening fire with thier railguns to shake up the enemy. The capships stayed behind the two foreward groups, their powerful sensors prepared to pick off anything that returned fire.

OOC: How is the battle field set up? I’d like to know before my fleet arrives and is cut to ribbons by unknown terrain barriers.
(ie, post coming soon)
OOC: I take it Chaos Marines are involved? And Chaos Ships? Well, I'm screwed....
IC: Sarpedon had ordered a full stop a few light years from Azaha'a home planet. All the ships had monitered the incursion into his space. Sarpedon was standing on the bridge, transmitting a voice-only message to Azaha, 'I am Sarpedon of the Soul Drinkers. You are currently battling againsn't Chaos, yes? I am here to help. My fleet shall procceed to cleanse your space of Chaos. But I fear that will not be enough, my Chapter is specilised in assult. I shall procceed to board the Chaos leader's ship. Please inform me of that ship. You shall hear from me again...'
After transmitting the message, Sarpedon ordered the fleet ahead. Gradually the Chaos ships came into veiw. He turned to Tellos, 'Open fire on the nerest ship!'
'Yes my lord!' Within minutes 20 grav-torpedoes were heading the way of the nerest Chaos ship....
OOC2: You do know what a gravity torpedoes does, right?
OOC: The field is in the middle of an asteroid field, atleast that is where my fleet is. The entire Azaha system is infested with asteroids of all sizes, some even fitted with guns and missile launchers.
Thoom... an asteroid where a numerous amount of ships were hiding exploded outwards. Shrapnel and large rock particles slammed into ships, even those that were not even close to the large asteroid. Rocks were every where, buffeting into all ships. Squadrons of frigates were destroyed with single large rocks. The upside was, no major capital ship was destroyed or severely damaged.
"Admiral, another fleet has entered the system, about hald are in vector to us, the other half towards Azaha IV." chattered a servitor in a voice more of a machine, a half-man half-machine creation servitors were.
Admiral Argash stood on his bridge, on the Sword, and contemplated what to do. The chaos fleet was closing, more unknown enemy ships showing up by the minute, and now the filthy Eldar doing who-knows-what.
He was about to make an order when space tore itself apart right behind the Sword. A vortex of swirling warp threatened to engulf the Sword, when another ship came out of the warp. It was the Purgatus.
The Purgatus was the imperial flagship, an apocolyspe class battleship. It was a beast, the biggest ship in the fleet, and probably one of the biggest ships in the battle.
"This is Grand Admiral Vash, calling from the Purgatus. I am taking command of the fleet." boomed a voice on all imperium ships. All ships chattered back thier replies.
"I want ALL fighters to engage the task force heading towards Azaha IV, com Azaha IV, tell them to warm up thier planetary defence cannons. Frigates and destroyers, I want atleast five of you to a cap ship. Squadrons 82, 23 and 81, form up on the Purgatus." Again all ships boomed thier replies. "All cap ships, broadside the enemy, get as many guns as you can on the incoming, fire on my mark."
Fighters and bombers raced to the enemy ships heading towards the fleet. Nearly 1000 fighters and 1000 bombers raced towards the enemy ships.
Small destroyers and frigates formed up on thier designated targets, creating a small web of protection around each capitol ship.
In turn, Imperial Cruisers, Retribution and Emporer battleships turned thier broadsides to the enemies. They displayed a deadly amount of firepower, a Retribution alone had the firepower on its broadside to take down two ships equalling its size.

Admiral Dredhamer, a seasoned veteran commander who had proved his worth to the Empire thousands of times over, sat upon his throne-like command chair.
"Sir, we're coming onto the Azaha system." said his ops officer.
"Good, take us out of warp."
The fleet dropped out of warp, revealing its size. 300 Star Destroyers guarded the flagship. Each of the vessels was filled with marines, all eager to do the bidding of their emperor. The Doomans had been designated "world eaters" for the Crusade, and these men would prove most excelent at that task. The men began to enter drop pods and dropships. The cargo holds glistened with the black armor of the men, and blowed an erie blue from their plasma rifles. The men all marched in step up the ramps of the dropships, filling the bays with loud patterns of clanks.
The fleet would move directly onto the homeworld, allowing allied units to deal with the main fleet.

Countless smaller Chronosian ships took the front of the Azahan attack; some spiralling, injured into space; firing back in futility; while others were obliterated entirely. Fights moved and buzzed in the void, whirring and diving as they began their attack runs. Missle fluuries filled the abyss as they targetted the nearest ships; some nose-divded towards the enemy, firing their weapons till they could fire no more; and simply detonated; annointing the hulls with cleansing, rending, fire.
The main fleet moved on; all weapons charging; throbbing and humming in dark synchrony. They burst into a terrible life; raining down the full might of Chaos on the enemy. As allies arrived, Remiel's attack group began to move on Azaha IV; running the gauntlet of attack as they laid down suppressing fire on their now flanked enemy.

"Sir, i've got an intercepted message from Azahan command personnel." The comm officer yelled, an unnecessary thing to do over the radio used to communicate during general quarters.
"Let's hear it." O'Conner ordered. The radio filled with static and a voice filled with command.
"I want ALL fighters to engage the task force heading towards Azaha IV...warm...planetary defence can...adrons 82, 23 and 81, form up...All cap ships, broadside the enemy...n my mark."
"I want the Seraph to send all squadrons, half with CSP half with anti-shipping to Azaha IV."
"Message away sir."
O'Conner smiled, "Here's where we earn our pay. Fire 200 Preserver's at the fleet to test their defences. Once we get the data back we'll open up with more powerful missiles. And as soon as we get to extreme range start firing HetLaser volleys."
At his orders two hundred missiles streaked from the XNV Kracken towards to enemy fleet. Their mass was their warhead as they would slam into shields or hull at 15 percent light speed.
Moments later the fleet was reached extreme laser range and lances of invisible death raced towards the enemy, though their accuracy would be low at this range.

Hulls rumbled and some ruptured as lazers thudded against them or tore through them; sacrificing yet another small number of ships to the void. A Dozen had fallen to the new barrage of warheads and lazers from the foreign interlopers.
Chronos, black and tyrannous Lord of the Sith; warrior of Tzeentch turned and looked towards the enemy. He smirked wryly.
His brother sought the planet; his father and the others took on the dogs of Azaha and the others who appeared; and he would deal with these interlopers.
"My Warhead will punish all without distinction" he hissed; "Open fire; order our battle group to engage the new enemy full on. All weapons systems; Turbo lazers, Ion cannons, Warp Cannons, Lancers! One and all! Drive on, brothers....Make them join the dead!"

"All ships, prepare to drop out of hyperspace, launch fighters as soon as your established, and open fire ASAP!" Fleet Admiral James Kelison paced up and down the central walk of the bridge, the strategic staff scrambling out of his way. He stabbed a point on the 3D map of the combat area, "Were coming out HERE, just to the side of the main Chaos forces, so dont shoot at anything over there. I want the fighters to avoid the asteroid field unless they have to go into it for some reason. Were not going to risk our necks overmuch for these wierdos, but were being paid well, and we have lots of pilots, so dont be over cautious.
The our ship and the other Piledriver are to begin charging their main guns immidiatly after we establish, if there are no large ship concentrations your to target whatever looks like its doing the most damage, avoid hitting allied ships if possible. That is all."
"Ready to drop out!"
The ships dropped out of hyperspace.
"Alright, PD's, begin chargin! All other ships! FIRE!!"
The DGNT fleet opened up with a withering array of weapons into the most concentrated areas of the Order forces, behind the wall of laser energy a more solid wall of missile fire arced through space.

As soon as the message reached FFH, as many as 30 Dragonships, half the fleet to tell the truth, loaded with contingents of Ghost Eye operatives (roughly the equivalent of a Space Marine). As soon as they were far enough from their homeworld, the Intergalactic Telleporter beamed them near Azaha IV...
They found a true mess when they arrived. "This is Nethlia Kosac, from FFH. Honourable Overlord Archon Lash, would you clarify which are your foes? We fear we might strike down a firendly ship otherwise."

OOC: I assume no one is assaulting the “rear” of Azaha IV? (I.e.- not occupied by other chaos)
IC: The skaven ships moving through the warp were as diverse as the powers of chaos, the clunky ork vessels, sleek shark-like prows of chaos tau, and the patched up vessels of the skaven, at the heart of their fleet were two of the newest vessels to be acquired, Victory Class Carrier. Supposedly, they could control an entire system, so the council saw fit to send two(the Inheritance and Council's Will) to this enemy system, also was a command behemoth with two regular behemoths, along with a gaggle of skaven cruisers and merchant vessels, the orks had several terror and kill kroozers along with several dozens of escorts, the tzeentch worshipping tau (they got jealous of the lack of psychic abilities :)) had several hero class cruisers with defender escorts, this was the time of darkness. Through the warp, all manner of monstrosities followed them, summoned there from the magiks of the tau and warpstone, much like carrion following a predator.
On board the Chitterboil(command behemoth):
The situation was utter chaos and perfect order, everyone was busy doing tasks in a confusing manner, but each new what the other was actually accomplishing, except for the captain of course, who seemed to be slipping deeper into warpstone-induced madness, several corpses piled themselves outside the bridge each day, often for pointless reasons, like breathing to loudly, or not standing right, mutiny was in the air, but it was mixed with fear.
“Comrade overlord, we shall be exiting the warp in almost five minutes, system charts and spook analysis seem to suggest that the enemy is unoccupied by our allies, here, here, and on that side” the crewman was starting to babble while pointing to a holo map.
The fleet overlord spoke without looking away from the paper hat in the far corner, “Then have us exit there”, he pointed a gnarled and clawed finger at one unoccupied zone, “When we arrive, make no move into the asteroid fields, obliterate every single rock, I do not wish to displease the council by losing the prized vessels, alert every vessel now to charge any non-warp based weaponry.”
Visibly, the crew grew less stressed, he appeared rational for now, he once ordered them through a warp storm with no shields on the ship, yet somehow they survived.
Nearly all the skaven grinned at the promise of plunder, the orks grew more violent and excited at the coming battle, and the chaos tau, they simply kept chanting….

Chronos hit more buttons as missles joined the rain of fire towards Xessmithia; sending a secondary barrage at the newly arrived FFH forces.
"Without distinction....All will suffer....All will die" he hissed; moving to watch the carnage unfold as the missles split into a barrage of smaller, powerful high explosive missles that streamed insidiously towards their targets...
Cluster Missles....
OOC: first off, Im sorry if I leave any details out about attacking fleets or moves etc... hard to keep track of what 4 enemy fleets are doing.
"Fire!"
All capitol ships let loose thier broadside cannons, lance strikes and anti-capitol ship missiles. It was a sight to behind, in perfect unison all ships let loose thier hail of death.
"Our faith shall be our weapons! Our will shall be our sheilds! Purge the demon spawn that threaten the very fabric of the Imperium of man and our Emporer!" bellowed Vash. With those words being said all ships seemed to fire faster, and with better aim.
"Sir, several more fleets have arrived, two known enemy and two unknown, most likely allies in this conflict."
"Focus on the chaos scum! Let the interlopers do as they wish!"
Outside the battle raged. Frigate after frigate being decimated. Even the mighty imperial cruisers fell before the chaos onslaught. Luckily no Emporer or Retribution classes had been destroyed, but some on the brink of uselessness. PD fire raged as fighters darted in and out of the line of fire. The kamakazi attacks were taking thier toll, they were nothing but huge living missiles.
On Azaha IV, massive planetary defence cannons sprouted from the ground, one cannon ever 5 square miles. These were lance cannons, a most deadly weapon.

"Do you serve your emperor?" Fingers touched the face of an Uruk; before grasping it by the throat; heartened by the roar that emerged.
Remiel stood over the main weapons battery of his flagship as countless Uruks readied for war; pouring into modified boarding pods; some of the pods stuffed and covered in heavy explosives.
"Leave none alive..." He hissed; and doors closed. A heavy blast of weapons fire from each and every ship streamed forward and amongst them came countless of the pods. Some sought to attach to enemy hulls; breaking through and allowing the armored Uruks, or the deadly Berserkers and commanders onto the ships. Others; driven by Berskers, roared in triumph as they plunged into hulls and onto ships and detonated; vast explosions that seemed to warp the gulf of space.
The Primarch of Angelus Ater, Black Lord of the Inquisition, Remiel, smiled as he watched it; before grimacing at a ship torn apart by Lance fire from the planet.

THe Druchii fleet ignored the rest of the battle, their target clear in their mind. Makalith watched as the Black Ark's each charged their Drill point cannons. Used to cut down to the core of a planet, so the metals that always where metlaed in the core could be extracted. THe Ships, formerly in one long wall, in seconds split up, seeming to going in random directions. They started to fly towards the craftworld, the scream of the engies could be hears even in space.
Makaliths flagship was not one of common Dark Elf design. Huge in size, it was slow and heavily armed. The ships forward weapons charged, then began to open fire on the craftworld itself. Aiming for the engine area, they inte3nded to stop the craftworld from moving closer to the battle. The Drill point cannons came after, showing how little the Druchii cared for the lives of the people on the craftworld. Already an Alter to khain had been arrected on each ark, ready to have the eldar prisoners feed their own forces. And such, the battle for the Craftworld had begun.
Vash cursed under his breath as the launch pods attatched, boarded, and some exploding.
"All ships, report in" Several scrambed and garbled messages came through, some of the messages screams. Multiple messages of being criticly damaged, near death, and boarders. With a heavy sigh, Vash spoke.
"All ships, if in threat of being taken over when boarded, self destruct..." Just then, many ships seemed to explode out of nowhere, a horrifying sight.
"All ships... exit the atsteroid field... retreat to planet orbit, get those heretics out of firing range of Azaha IV! If you cannot move... and chaos think they can claim you... self destruct."
It was a depressing sight, seeing only 500 or so Cruisers, out of the orignal 900, 150 Retributions, and 80 Emporers. All the frigates were but destroyed, perhaps a few squadrons here and there, trying to out run cannon fire. The fleet moved as one towards the planet, weapons still firing away at chaos ships.
On the Planet alarms went off as missiles came and destroyed hardened bunkers, aswell as the defence cannons. Small cities were decimated, but one sight remained untouched. The citadel of the Ordo Malleus was safe. Archon Lash, aswell as a few other Inquisitors poored thier power into making a phsychic shield around the citadel, keeping all Grey Knights and Inquisitorial Stormtroopers safe.

"Aye Lord."
"Continue distractionary bombardment and attacks on the enemy fleet. Keep them off my back; or its your head."
"Y-Yes....Lord. For the Dark Gods"
He chuckled
"For the Dark Gods"
A ship lunged from the flagship, as around it orbital bombardment cannons rained hell on enemy positions. Other ships turned; heading after the enemy fleet as the flagship pounded out more volleys of weapons fire; and the pods began to fall like a steady, terrible rain....
It had begun
In the middile of the temple, Lash and his brethren were still holding up the forcefield when Lash, and most of the Inquisitors, felt it. Lash opened his eyes quickly, almost destroying the protective shield that surrounded the citadel.
"My brethren! The enemy approaches in drop pods! Be ready for ground combat, we will keep the shield up as long as possible, be ready at the perimiters of the shield!"
All around the citadel terminators thumped thier foot steps, 'normal' Grey Knight squads trotted, Stormtroopers hurried.
Stormtroopers ran to gun enplacements, locking and loading the massive machine guns, grenade launchers, and cannons that dotted everywhere around the citadel. Grey Knights entrenched, and ready.
They were ready.
Saim-Hann Craftworld
23-12-2004, 09:16
Already an Alter to khain had been arrected on each ark, ready to have the eldar prisoners feed their own forces. And such, the battle for the Craftworld had begun.
Two large rays of light darted through space aiming for the massive ship of the Eldar. The Vaul Fleet swimming like massive fish schools around the craftworld itself opened up rings to let pass the deadly energy ray. Most of them were able to dodge the beamed particles but a great cylinder of fire erupted inside the Fleet signifying the death of several ships.
The rays continued unabated smashing through the shield of Saim-Hann the energy was dissipated in great circles over an invisible sphere.Sparkling blasts of green light hiding the shape of the craftworld.
At the same moment the Fleet rallied itself around the Void Stalker-class battleships. The always undulating and vibrating mass of ships changed shape.Covering a loose sphere around the craftworld when the death rays had hit it, it had now changed into the form of a huge cone and began advancing towards the attacking enemies.Countless beam lights then darted from the Fleet heading toward the enemy. When that first volley was gone the entire fleet as with Saim-Hann just faded away into the space around it.No visible sign of the fleet was to be seen where it was once. It's though it had just disappeared.
---------
- Bring the V-Cannon to bear on the ships where those rays have been emitted and don't stop firing until they are no more, said Hannisthar.
- Yes my Highness.
- Prepare the Wild Rider I'm going to Azaha IV to retrieve the tablets I'm just hoping that the Solitaires will come to my help.Kultanel, I must deprive you of two Void Stalkers they will be my escort.
- May Orion be with you most reverred Farseer of Saim-Hann, the 20 Warlocks of the Seer Council said in unison.
--------
Minutes later 3 flash of lights were made visible near the invisible craftworld. The ships then appeared near the Azaha IV planet having made a micro warp jump.
OOC: OK, the shield is there. It's a craftworld a very huge spaceship maybe tens of thousands of kilometers in diameter and it got a sphere-like shield this will protect it against energy weapons.Though of the caliber you use enough shots might be able to deplete it.Physical attacks will pass through the shield but there are countless PDS turrets over it.
The fact it disappeared is because the entire fleet as well as the Craftworld have an Holo-Field it makes the ships using it invisible.Though you're still able to detect the psychic energies of those inside. The individual ships in the fleet will be difficult to detect but the craftworld will be more easier. There's about 20 000 000 eldars inside it.
Now I'm going to bed so good night.

OOC: great, now a planet fall, why don’t we just glass the planet? Make it a lot easier…
IC: The ships were rocked by enemy fire(I’m Forces of Chaos to clear any confusion), the merchant vessels aka meat shield was depleted heavily, but it served its purpose, usually the first volley was the heaviest, surviving merchant vessels clustered and fixed “holes” in the wall.
On board the Chitterboil:
“Overlord, the enemy is retreating and decimating their own fleet, victory will be ours if we attack now.”
For the time being, the captain seemed sane, as if a with a pot on their head could be sane, “No, the entire field must reduced, what if they have nuclear weapons hidden there somewhere, want to be next to it when it goes off? Target any weapons platforms you see there, make our jobs easier.”
Firing solutions were sent out, the visible weapons were targeted, while others aimed at large asteroids. The orks were kept in check, but barely, the skaven were formed up around the tzeentch tau, for some dark purpose.
Almost as one, all ships with range fired (ie- the cruiser-killing-cannons on the skaven vessels), nearly two-hundred warp-lightning rounds flew out at the asteroids, more slowly, but no less destructive, were some ancient looking artillery shells that were shot out of “torpedo tubes”.
OOC: It is a warpstone shell, take a massive artillery shell, the payload is warpstone powder and fumes, except for the nose, which is explosives. It is designed to penetrate something, then explode, thus causing explosive damage, burning from the dust, possible mutation, and the effect of mustard gas with the fumes. A lethal weapon against space ships and stations, or ground targets.

A small rift opened up in the warp, unnoticed in the massive battle taking place in the system.A small buoy floated out from the rift. From this buoy folded out a small but powerful communications array, with a recorded message, broadcasted to all ships in the battle.
"This is Lord Ra of the Ankhmeti Imperium, the cursed Empire. This message is my offer of the fleet of 20,000 ships I offered Chronosia, and the vast slave and regular armies I have been able to raise. In addition the the Chronosian forces falling from the sky, Dooman forces landed, only in much greater scale. Thousands of drop pods slammed into the planet's surface, spewing force Heavy Marines. The eight foot tall behemoths had arm-mounted heavy plasma guns, capable of melting the armor of a Dreadnaught. There were 3,000 of them in their HMACA suits. The ground shook as they walked, spraying at high rates of fire with their plasma guns at the defences. In addition, 50,000 regular Doomans hit the surface, capable of literaly leaping 30 feet due to gravitational differences between Azaha IV and Doom.
Finnaly, the largest dropships carried Madcat Mk.II Assault Mechs, Catapult Heavy Mechs, and Cougar Scout Mechs, all to be used as fire support. The Catapults rained thousands of cluster rockets from the skies down on the enemy, while the Madcats used their jumpjets to hover above hills for a few seconds, and get off a few rounds from their twin heavy gauss cannons.
Above the planet, the surface guns took their toll on the fleet. 11 Star Destroyers had been destroyed from the heavy guns before the fleet returned fire with turbo lasers and torpedoes on all positions. The Helldawg alone carried 1,000 turbo lasers and 500 quick loading torpedo tubes.

OOC I'm a bit late, so this'll be covering what has happened throughout the battle...
IC
The destroyers and cruisers moving toward the enemy fleet were suprised to be faced with formations of ighters instead of heavier craft, so they returned fire with their RapidRails, throwing out tens of thousands of High-Explosive shells designed to take down enemy fighters. As the approaching formations dwindled, they began opening up with their shorter range AA turrets. They then turned their heavy railguns onto the ships that had opened fire on them, blasting away, hoping to live long enough for the capships to come to their aid. The first of the advancing ships to go was a destroyer, providing the first ever look at what happens when a Dark Reactor explodes. It ripped the entire ship into shreds, spraying them all over the attacking fighters and the nearby driendly vessels, followed by a burst of high-levels of radiation, enough to kill anybody who wasn't properly shielded instantly. Finally, the remaining residue from the reactor explosion left an area of space a few kilometers in diameter that was quite unsafe for any but ships of the Dark Fleet to fly through. This was followed by the similar loss of a couple Cruisers and some less catastrophic decompression losses. The remaining part of the attack force was about to retreat when they saw HACSHMs flying past, signalling that they sould likewise open fire with thier most deady weapon.
The Azahan fire on the force advancing on Azaha IV had done more damage than expected. Fussha had been hoping that the enemy woulddivide his fire. He had ordered a tactical retreat away from the main fire, then had his capships open fire with their railguns and HACSHMs. The first volley consisted of a mere 110 of the heavy missiles, to distract the enemy defensive gunners from what was about to occur. In the next volley, the battleships and battlecruiseres as well as the King Joseph and its twon opened fire with all their railguns and missile launchers, aided by the lighter craft and supprt frigates advancing toward the enemy. This produced a withering storm of nearly 800 of the capital-ship killing missiles. These sepd toward their targets at very high speeds, their advanced targeting computers and sensors allowing them to home directly toward the most vulnerable parts of any capship: the engines and reactor. A second volley of equal itensity followed mere seconds after, and the launchers were only operating at 75% efficiency.
Fussha ordered the capships to continue fioring until the enemy was brokem, and examined the actions of his allies. He noticed continual activity, andrealized what was about to happen. He sent a coded message to the rest of his fleet:
AG798-ss-target 'charlie'- offsty 4w/ifd:-: AA*NC. Now now now.
That was the code for the 3rd batlefleet to come into the protected area created by his current formation, and immediately deploy their fighters. About two minutes after he sent the order, the additional ship arrived, launching hundreds of fighters to cover the fleet, then awaiting further orders. They cam from Fussha quickly and were as follows:
Some fighters cover the allied landing craft, the rest attack ground targets.
Heavy ship engage targets of oppertunity and bombard the planet's surface.

OOC: Man you guys are posting fast. I'll try to cover what I missed, Chronosia I hope you don't mind if I claim to destroy one or two of your smaller vessels.
IC:
The return missile volley from the Chronosian forces tore into the fleet. The screening frigates and destroyers spat point-defence fire which combined with that from the larger ships to destroy many of the missiles. Still six frigates, three destroyers and an Endeavour cruiser had their shields overloaded and their hulls were torn open in sprays of molten metal.
"Return fire. Fire all main LinAc batteries, fire full volleys of Class D and Class I Ragnorok missiles. Charge the Primary wedge, I want to tear one of their ships in half." O'Conner yelled.
In response blue lances of gigaton range death spewed towards the Chronosian forces. The Matter/Anti-matter annhilation shaped warheads of the Ragnorok missiles detonated on shields, focusing gigatons of energy like a blowtorch to cut through shields and hull. A Class I impacted a small enemy ship, the two thousand gigaton warhead decimated it's shields and vaporized most of the ship, a warhead that size was overkill on such a small target.
The massive Kracken moved towards one of the larger Chronosian ships, preparing to fire it's main weapon, an EM Primary wedge capable of blowing a crater of egual depth to the radius of a 500 km asteroid. Point-defene and light guns targeted drop pods on the way to the surface and towards the ships of the fleet.
Several boarding pods managed to break through the shields of a Bradbury and attach on the hull. The creatures which burst from the pods met hard vacuum and a hail of hyper-velocity flechettes from the AID system. The boarders, trapped in small compartments by heavy blast doors, were easily shredded by the darts.
"Sir, the Asimov reports boarders defeated."
"Excellent, that will show those pundits back home. Are we in range?" O'Conner asked.
"Yes sir." The weapons officer said, his finger hovering over the activation.
"Fire."
The Kracken visibly slowed down as the EM wedge fired. The invisible wave of death raced towards a massive ship. O'Conner smiled, this will good.

"Sir, massive energies readings detect-" A crewman yelled before a collosal explosion rocked the ship; a vast hole now dominating the super structure amidst the sound of groaning metal and roaring vacuum.
The ships captain; looking out into the void; felt hope slip away.
"Fire all weapons at their main weapon....Then detonate.....FOR THE EMPEROR"
A collosal explosion tore through the mortally wounded ship as any available weapons surged forht, just as the ship sacrificed itself.
"I....Will PUNISH!" Chronos screamed on open comms as his battle group turned, hissing with primal force towards Xessmithia.
"Without distinction..." His eyes opened wide as he ordered all weapons fire concentrated.
"All ships; offensive mode; full weapons fire. Purge these new fools from the skies..."
"Forget all this waiting.Drop out of the Immaterium, all guns lock and load, launch Starhawks, drop pod location set to the enemy planet, tell the fleet to go in with every weapon blazing!"
The Ankhmeti fleet screamed out of a huge rift in the Warp. All weapons blazing at the forces of Order's ships, missiles slamming into their hulls, lasers smashing fighters into splinters.Drop pods left the ships and battle-barges like insects from their nests, ants of death ( ! ).Half the fleet headed towards the eldar craftworld, firing off their capital scale torpedoes by the hundred.
OOC: Yeesh, again I apologize if I leave anything out.
IC:
The fleet of Azaha were fighting fierce and brave. Through the loudspeakers chants of the emporer echoed through the halls, beckoning the crewmen to fire faster, and aim better. But things were still going to hell in a hand basket.
Aboard the Purgatus explosions rocked the ship, but it still held together. "Status report on the fleet!" yelled Vash.
"Sir, over half of the cruisers are gone, 50 Emporers and 110 Retributions remian, no frigates left anywhere, sir." a panicked crewman whimpered.
"Keep moving towards the planet! They have started dropping pods ont he surface, get close and get some naval gun fire on the drop locations and enemy masses."
"Yessir"
The Entire fleet moved forward and splitted up upon eachong Azaha IV orbit. The massive ships spread put above the atmosphere, and let loose thier torrent. Lance cannons, normal cannons, missile fire ripped from the capitol ships, intent on destroying anything alive. The naval bombardment wasnt the most accurate but witht he amount of firepower being poored into it, it would cause deffinite damage. They kept firing even as thier fellow ships were obliterated right besides them.
On the planets surface the battle for the citadel raged. Heavy bolter enplacements let loose a rain of heavy lead upon the enemey. Terminators with heavy bolters attatched to thier arms opened up. Terminators with heavy flamers torched and incinerated. Grey Knight purgatation teams with heavy weapons, including missile launchers blew away anything that looked chaos.
The perimiter around the citadel was made, no chaos had gotten through yet. The only casualties thus far was a gun enplacement of Stormtroopers. Not one of the 1000 Grey Knights had been slain yet.
Inside men rushed and went everywhich way. Most of the Inquisitors had donned thier Aegis armor and power hammers and went into battle. But Archon Lash remained inside the temple, sitting, meditating. Massive amounts of energies were being brought to him, feeding him, powering him...
Ra could feel a buildup of energy on the planet.Obviously a poowerful Psyker was going to unleash a great power. But that is whe psykers are most vulnerable.
Ra summoned up 30 daemons into the warp, and commanded them to try and posess the powerful psyker on the surface.
"This is cruiser immaterial, we are in position!Drop pods away!"
The drop pods screeched away from their ships, some being immediately blown away by the guns on the surface, their targets being population centres where the batlle is quietest. Upon landing, the chaos forces took as many prisoners as they could, and immediately summoned daemons to posess them.

The Dooman troops began to converge on the citadel. Thousands of rockets rained down onto defencive positions from Catapult Mechs stationed on rooftops. Several Madcat Mk.IIs took to engaging enemy vehicles, picking off units from several miles away with their gauss cannons. Finnaly, the attack began.
10,000 Doomans arose, and lept 30 feet in the air, intending to get as close to the defences as possible to start a melee, making use of their power swords and superior strength while others layed down suppresing fire with plasma weapons. The heavy marines also arrived, using their heavy plasma cannons to level occupied buildings and incinerate hostile troops. Finnaly, 10 Madcat Mk.II Assaut Mechs arrived on scene, soaring over the defences with their jump jets, and landing all around the Citadel. They took on heavier units with their gauss cannons, but engaged normal marines with their twin heavy pulse lasers. If they came under fire from troops inside of a building, they would let loose from their missile racks into the structure.

A cheer roared through the fleet as the enemy ship was torn apart by the Kracken's mighty blast. O'Conner knew better though, the display of such massive firepower had made his ship and his fleet priority targets for the enemy.
"Prepare to back away from point-blank to normal range." As an added emphasis the crippled ship sent one last volley at the monitor before it detonated. The heavy weapons tore into the shields of the mighty monitor, they collapsed as the energy from the ships detonation slammed into it.
"Sir, shields down, secondary generators coming online in forty seconds. Massive damage to the portside primary wedge emitter. It's down to half-strength at most and the effective range has been cut down by seventy-five percent."
"Well I hope that shot was worth it. Load the primary beams, they're not as powerful as the wedge but they still pack one helluva punch." O'Conner said.
Second fleet was taking heavy fire from the Chronosian forces, the XNV Premonition, a Vision-class Battleship, was struck by a massive volley. It's starboard outrider was shorn off and the ship was sent into a chaotic spin. Just as the crew regained control it was struck by several heavy warp cannon blasts and the bow melted away. It transmitted it's Code Omega signal, set it's reactor to overload and set a ramming course for the nearest Chronosian capital ship. It's death would not be in vain.
Missiles, HetLasers and LinAc fire rained upon the Chronosian forces. Ensign Vernier Gould had a full load of 4, 20 gigaton missiles on his Peregrine fighter. His squadron was assigned to anti-shipping duty and he intended to give the enemy one big black eye. He roared in on a ship that was giving the fleet trouble and he, with the rest of his 10 fighter squadron, unleashed their warheads and punched to maximum acceleration to race away from soon to be miniature suns.

Xessmithia had unleahsed hell upon Chronos' battle ground; and the Sith Primarch strode forward onto the bridge; hissing angrily. Half his group had now vanished in onslaught after onslaught from the enemy ships.
"I will show them...." He hissed.
"All Capital Ships; initiate heavy bombardment of enemy fleet. I want everything; even planetary bombardment weapons. If that should fail, and you are in danger of being destroyed; detonate warp cores and set course for the enemy....All Fighters are permitted to make kamikaze runs on the enemy; most notably attack groups X and Gamma; that is, Gravitational and Heavy Thermonuclear payload battlegroups."
The ship rocked from impact as a capital ship near them exploded as an enemy ship self destructed into it; sending flaming chunks of once proud ship spinning into space.
Chronos' hand hovered over the commands to unleash their most powerful weapons; the ship shuddered lightly as the Warp Cannons let loose another volley. He pushed the buttons.
"Chemical, Biological, Nuclear and Heavy Explosive, High pentration warheads launched." The computer hissed.
"Excellent....Men, lay down covering fire; make sure our weapons hit..."
OOC: eh... try to make this battle last long... this is the opener, make it grand, Grey Knights are the cream of the crop when it comes to fighting chaos...
The Knights fought valiantly. Terminators took hit after hit after hit. The ancient and powerful Aegis armor was powerful enough to stop most gausse rifle and rail gun shots, only acheiving in knocking back the Knight a few feet.
Coms chattered with men bellowing orders, directing fire. "Purgatation teams, lock missiles on enemy heavy armor, fire!" "Internal terminator teams, sweep and mop any who get inside." "Inquisitors, use psyke powers at leisure."
Missiles flew, psykers let loose powerful attacks, even the dreaded holocaust attack. Gun enplacements roared, chain linked laser cannons shot away at heavy armor and infantry.
Chaos fiends who got too close were immediatly attacked melee fashion. The Grey Knights wielded Nemesis Force weapons, ancient and powerful weapons. Even though they were simple metal weapons, the pure psyker power was more than a match for any other weapon.
In space, the Azahan fleet dwindled. All that remained was the Purgatus, which was badly damaged, and a handful of other ships. Feebilly they fought on, without much of a hope.

Fussha saw that the Azahan defence fleet was defeated, so he sent out his next order: Focus fire on their allies. Hold off on the HACSHMs, wait for my signal to fire them in volley.
Railguns began firing into the Xessithian fomatin as the craft wheeled around to present the majority of their weapons. After te last ship was in position, Fussha sent out his order, and the ships all fired their HACSHM launchers on full auto. 1800 capship killers flew from one armada towards another in the first second, ammo trains flew from protected storage tothe batteries bringing the tools of death to be fired at those that opposed the might of Al-Imvadjah.
RSD-1 Mallard fighter/bombers were entering the atmosphere of Azaha IV, carrying heavy payloads of high explosives. They were accompanied by the newer FPF-1 Raven, whose large contigent of Air-to-Air Missiles would protect from enemy fighters. The Kanttuchdis was establishing a position in orbit over the world, raining railgun slugs onto suspected enemy strongpoints, but leaving the citadel untouched, fearing friendly fire incidents.
One of the strangest events of the Al-Imvad bombardment was the dropping of a number of canisters. Each of which impacted about 20 kilometers from the Azahan perimiter. Inside each of these was 50,000 flesh-eating beetles, known as Bio3, controlled through a complex system of computers and hiveminds. Fussha ordered the canisters to be opened and the swarm to be directed toward the enemy lines.

The Grey Knights would find the Doomans to be worthy foes in hand to hand combat. The genetic makeup of a Dooman allows for it to be 50x stronger than a regular human, and the MJLONIR suit increased that nearly 100 fold. Their weapons were of fine quality, but not quite as good as those carried by their foes. The men took to simply tearing their opponents limb from limb, or simply impaling them. None the less, the defencive positions were taking their toll, and over 700 had been killed in the first hour of fighting.
The Madcat pilots were a bit confused as to why their gauss cannons, designed to be able to knock a 90 ton battle mech on its ass from 20 miles away while tearing a hole large enough to permenantly cripple it, did so little damage to the terminaters. One of the pilots checked his system, and realised that the drop had caused some damage. Repair nanites quickly got to work on the mechs, and had their gauss cannons fully running within a few short minutes. The enemy missile teams crippled several Cougar light mechs, but that was to be expected. The Madcats were absorbing the missile hits, and shaking off damage as if nothing had happened. Several of the huge, 80 foot mechs had a bright idea, and took to simply stepping on the terminaters, in the hope of crushing them with their immense weight (90 tons).
Thus far, Dooman forces have taken up positions around the citadel, and are pushing inwards to try and gain a foothold. Heavy casualties are being sustained, but the men continue to press ever harder.
Meanwhile, Lurtz was leading his heavy marines for a push into the citadel itself. The scene of carnage around him was immense. Severed limbs lie scattered all over the ground, mutilated corpses still grasping their weapons were barely recognisable. The city around him was in ruins. He and his group of six men advanced past a ruined wall, into the citadel grounds. They came under fire from a heavy bolter turret. One of his men walked up to it, the rounds bouncing off of his thick armor, and ripped the gun barrel out, and shoved a grenade inside, diving out of the way, watching as the position went up in a plume of smoke and flame...
OOC:I figure we can get some up close and personal combat in, so feel free to have a few terminaters come after those guys.

Remiel cackled; each scream was a symphony, each death a new thrill. He raised his heavy bolter single handedly and opened fire at the wall; just as a blast of lascannon fire ruptured the air around him; men fell, but he cared not; as rockets streamed towards the citadel emplacements..

"Secondary shields down, tertiary online in fifteen seconds. Armour-Plast about to fail. Sir, we can't take much more of this."
O'Conner sighed, the officer was right. With two fleets now focusing their firepower, his fleet had dwindled fast. Only one Vision Battleship, two Bradbury Battleships, one Fermi Battlecruiser, the Cetus Battle Dreadnaught, one Halo Fleet Carrier and the Kracken remained. The last two enemy missile volleys had proved far to effective.
"All ships fire off their remaining ordanance at the Chronisian fleet. We've battered them down they'll take the most damage. As soon as that's done all ships retreat to the rendevous point."
The comm officer nodded solemly as he sent the orders. O'Conner watched his fleets one last volley tear into the Chronosian forces before the enemy and stars disappeared as the Kracken activated it's TCG drive. OOC: Um, my ships left before you posted firing on me so I'm ingoring the Covenant attack. Maybe next time we'll duke it out.
IC: The tattered remains of Second Fleet arrived at the rendevous point on the far outskirts of the Icefire system. They had taken several small trips on random vectors to throw off any pursuers.
O'Conner looked out at the remaining ships. Several had lost engine power as soon as they arrived. They would have to be towed back to the Confederate Shipyards in the Xess system via the TCG gate network. All of his ships would need to spend time in the yards getting repaired.
"Sir incoming message from FleetCom."
"Put it through." O'Conner said.
"O'Conner, this is Fleet Admiral Armishaw. I just received your debriefing. The loss of life and material is unfortunate, but you stalled them and showed them we're no easy push over. You did good." Armishaw said over the tachband communique.
"Thank you sir. Is there anything else?" O'Conner asked.
"Yes, Second fleet has been placed first in line for re-enforcements and has been moved to defence duty until you shake in the new recruits. Don't worry though, you'll be back on the front soon enough." Armishaw said with wry amusement.
"I understand sir."
"Good, Armishaw out."
O'Conner took a deep breath. Defence duty wasn't the most exciting, but that's the way vets like it. Boring is safe, and he could use the rest.
"Fall back, fall back inside the temple, we are sealing off most of the entrances and creating choke points, fall back!" chattered the comm systems. The Inquisitors knew that they were losing the fight fast. Those damned 'mechs were the biggest problem, so they would solve it by denying them a place to move propery.
Slowly but surely the Grey Knight, and the severely dwindling Stormtroopers started to fall back towards the temple. Many Knights and terminator Knights had to halt thier retreat, as to engage enemies that drew too close.
Many Troopers were cut down as they abandoned thier posts, being shot from behind, or just cut down as they ran.
At the temple, which its self at the base was the size of a small city, massive rock and metal doors closed, rumbling down. Slowly but surely knights and troopers retreated, but with heavy losses. Out of the 1000 Grey Knights that were stationed here, 400 were left.

The Sheilds of the Arks held out, the clever design of their triple layers allowed the first sheilds to recharge by the time the next two sheilds had fallen. As such, there was always one sheild there, and by the time it was depleated under heavy fire, the next one had recharged.
The rest of the fleet had taken hits, but nothing so deadly that they where majorly damaged. The Witch King smiled, he was now ready for the next part. With the fleet invisable, they had only one target, the Craftworld itself. With that, the Ships loaded their stelth discharges, the small ships piloted by reckless Shadow warriors. The ships moved fast, and had one path, direct collision. The Shadow warriors where dieing from the speed, but they did not care, they where going to do what they felt they where born to. They moved fast, fast enough to be a difficult target. Many would be shot down, but enough would get through to deliver their deadly cargo.
When the Ships hit, they sent out a blast of major blocks. The Witch Kings forces had equipted weapons for Eldar Spacificly, and as such the things sent a disabler of Eldar Technology. This would never hit the entire ship, but it would cut off power to certine parts of the ship, allowing drop pods to be deploied. THe Druchii Forces hated space combat.

A few Stormtroopers were savagly eaten into by the ferocious beetles. Fortunatly they were easily countered by the Knights hefting heavy flamers. They let loose thier firey death ont he beetles, and those being eaten alive.
All of the Knights that had survived the retreat were now inside the temple. There were only two entrances open, both at the front of the temple. Each entrance was 5m by 10m tall. Each door led to massively long hallways. From the hallways branched other smaller hallways at 90 degree angles. There is where the Knights set up thier weapons and bodies. No Knight stood directly int he wall way, only every now and then popping out to fire off rounds or launch a missile.
In the center of the temple, Lash was now almost complete in charging himself. His powers were immence, only possible if such powers were drawn directly from the warp....

The mighty ship came flying nose down into the surface at mach 20+, destroying anything within a 10 mile radius of the landing sight. When the dust cleared, it truley appeared that the vessel was a massive temple-like structure. Suddenly, the ship began to light up. Hundreds of fighters began to shoot off of the side of the ship, and begin attacking the defenders of the world. Imperial soldiers began to swarm out of the vessel, forming ranks to begin their cleansing of the land. There was a vast sea of black converging on the city now...
Meanwhile, on Azaha IV, the temple was fully surrounded and under siege. The Doom Marines coordinated with their Chaos brethren, and began to move in behind the wall of Uruks. If the Uruks managed to make it to the Knight's positions, they would find a vast sea of Doomans standing right behind them with their power swords at the ready, and plasma rifles trained.

OOC: Connection's screwed... Azaha, feel free to RP my Ghost Eye troopers, if you will.
IC: The Dragonships managed to survive the barrage of fire and land on Azaha IV. From there, they moved on to the epicentre of the attack. They were armed with Plasma rifles, and fully armoured in Light Titanium alloy. They had Materia added to their gear, so that they could cast healing spells and see farther than usual. "This is Felix, Captain of the Ghost Eyes. Leader of the Azaha forces, where would you want us move to?"

OOC: YAY, I'm back :) So...um....uh....
IC: Snikkit, seemed to have contradictited his orders, although no one pointed it out, while the asteroids were being destroyed, a massive group of landing craft, consisting of a mix of shark assault boats and dredclaw assault pods, but these were designed for not only space travel, but atmospheric travel. Nearly 500 of these vessels hurtled twoards the temple, ready to dig or blast their way through, thus creating a new avenue of attack on the stalwart defenders.....
OOC: Sorry, my attentions are divided :(, so I apologize for quality.
BTW, anything that would stop this Azaha? I'd like to ask before going "My skaven jump through the roof and shoot people". No, that is stupid, any shields? Or AA guns?(assuming they are still operational)
"Reports from the population centers?"
"Aye sir, we have taken many prisoners."
"Take them to the ship and turn them into combat servitors."
"Aye sir.Is that all?"
"No. Have our Terminator Squads move in drop pods to the main battleground.Have them all wearing heavy flamers."
"Yes sir."
300 Terminators, each with a heavy flamer got into the drop pods and were lauched to the area infront of the temple, to combat the infidels who do not invite chaos into their souls.

His Ministerness Jaqueline Francis gazed out of the window on the Yaforite colony of Harmardun. His dark, lidded, eyes, that always seemed to be asleep, observed the troop movements and preperations the Yaforite's were making. An invasion, perhaps. It was None of his business, being a native Harmardunian. They all hated the Yaforite invaders and longed to throw off the yolk of tyranny. But, then again, didn't eveyone?
Minister Francis sighed audibly as a noise stirred behind him. A man dressed in a spacesuit,a black elastic felt bodysuit, basically, entered the room. It was Space Commander Leonard Wilkins, the commander of this voyage.
"You knwo we're going, right?"
"Yes"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Space Commander Leonard Wilkins sped forward in his Black Myrmadion, eyes wide open. The triangular-shaped, black, 6-motored, transgalactic battleship sped through hyperspace with the ease of swimmer in a swimming pool. It was obviously in it's environment here, as Ship Commandeer Wilkins was in it. Everyone has their place.
Slowly they ghosted near Azaha Prime. Observig from hyperspace, they let themseleves see what was going on...from a distance.
OOC: Right, I've read all the pages I haven't posted on and I don't see that anyone has responded to my posts. Manily Azaha, I'll add the post here...

The Chronosian fleet shook; an entire flank decimated by the weapons of the Cam assault. Some were utterly obliterated, while others floated; dead, marooned in space.
Marcus hissed; turning his eyes momentarily from teh glow of Azaha Prime.
"All available vessels; break off and deal with the fools! Maximum force, bring them crashing down in ashes with the rest of the opposers!"
He turned back towards the planet.
"Initiate teleportation sequence! I want what I have come for!""
The planetary guns let loose a torrent of fire. Missiles, lances, and ion cannons let loose.
The Emporer had just finished putting on his custom Grey Knight Terminator armor when the obliterators teleported in.
There were only normal guardsmen, so they had a tough time. They let loose thier M-16 style weapons on the obliterators, thier guns rattling. Exio turned and started his arm-mounted chain gun, finally blasting away.

The Which King could sense the battle on the main world. He sighed, and redirected the Khain Regiments to the planet. Meanwhile, his personal ship opened up the front. A machine that resembled a huge machine gun came out, and pointed at the location he knew the craftworld to be. Two of the Black arks headed towards the planet, leaving him with the forty million warriors on the arks, the two million Black Guard on his own ship, as well as the Convent Warriors. He smiled, and moved to his own drop pod, fitted ino the cannon especially designed to land on heavily defended planets, or craftworlds. The "Weapon" Started to rotate, soon moving so fast the disperse points where all one hug black circal. The Previously loaded pods where pushed out the same speed as a rail cannon shot, each one heading towards a differnt section of the craftworld. The pods that got through would quite litterally tear into locations of the craftworld. Makalith smiled as he set himself in with the nineten of his most elite Black Guard. The deadly thing about the pods was not the men they deployed, it was the webway paths that made up the bulke of the pods. Every pod that made it into the Craftworld would possible be a new base that warriors could pour into.
The Two Black Arks under possesion of Khrone moved quickly through space. They headed towards the Planet, their intention to drop pods down to do damage to the Forces while the other Druchii Forces made the brisgeway into the Craftworld. It had been predeterimined that the Slannesh forces where better suited to kill the enemy, the only unit in the FOrces of Khain not to freinzied to be able to do anything where the deadly Exocutioners. The Commander, Tullaris could feel the blood flowing on the surface, he wanted to join the fray. He found a city he did not like the name of that was rather close to the capital, so unleashed the entire Transport section of the Black ark, leaving the combat shells behind.

The Obliterators roared in anger as they began their task; bringing arcing powerclaws and burning lascannon blasts to bear on their foes.
Somewhere in teh desert, the Obliterators searched for the tablets; knowing that they must hurtry, that this world faced death and doom...They would succeed or die; a fitting punishment for failing their dark and dread master.
"Chaos ships, fast approaching!"
"Launch fighters!"
An entire wing of fighters was launched to harry the Chaos ships flanks, they weaved their way to the nerest ship. Obviously some got shot down by unearring acurracy. The bombers strafed the ship, while the fighte either dealt with other fighters (Are there any?) or protected the bombers.
Back on board the Glory, Sarpedon ordered another wave of projectile weaponery to be lauched at the approaching ships. At least 40 torpedoes streaked their way towards the Chaos ships.
"Follow my lead!" Sarpedon said to the fleet. The Glory broke right, closly followed by the Gundog and Unendingly Just. The other ships followed. They stopped banking and swivelled to face the Chaos' flank. "Full speed ahead!" And with that the Soul Drinker's fleet sped towards the Chaos fleet, pulling up at the last moment and disgorging 50 boarding torpedoes. They were packed to the brim with Soul Drinkers. They then suddenly splitup and headed towards different ships, lots landing on one while only on elanded on another.

The legionnaries surged forward through the war-torn city on Azaha Prime, their arm mounted plasma cannons blasting away at the gaurdsmen, the enemy rounds mostly bouncing off of their thick armor. They engaged their jumpjets, and soared 100 feet in the air towards the citadel, jumping forward a few thousand feet at a time, hitting the ground, then jumping back up. A large number took up positions on the roofs of the buildings around the citadel, and used their shoulder mounted mortars to bring in indirect fire on enemy strongpoints while ground troops advanced, putting down fire with their plasma guns, ocasionaly moving close enough to jam their claw through an enemy and rip him apart.

As they reached the Chaos fleet, they spread out like a fan and began firing. 60 Black Myrmadions equalled 2,880 lightning cannons firing at once which equalled.....serious damage.
OOC: I'm confused, are you attacking me or Chronosia?
IC: "More ships approaching!" Brother Damian screamed.

"I can't tell yet! Wait, weapons fire!"

OOC:I'm order, attacking Chronosia.
OOC: Ok.

"Aye captain." Another volly of torpedoes was sent forth to kill the heratics....

The Two black Arks lauched a full salvo of weapons. Missiles, Lance cannons, Gauss cannons and other such weapons fired in magnatude at the Cam III ships, the power huge. The Captin watched in glee as the weapons arced through the sky.
"Multiple weapons inbound!" Sarpedon swiftly grabbed on to the nerest console, "Evasive manuevers!"
The helmsman responded negativly, "Theres no ti..." The ship shook as it took a hit form an Ion cannon. "Shields down to 47%!"
Sarpedon turned to the screen with the entire fllet on it, two Strike Vessal's blibs turned too black, the Gundoog and the Carnivore.
"Those were good ships. Status?" Sarpedon returned to his chair.
"Not good, two ships gone. One crippled, the Animosity."
"Our ship? Casulties?"
"Little, 17 rerported dead." The medical officer intervined.
"Return fire!"
Before any shots could be placed, more weapons slammed into the opposite side of the ships. Bulkheads collapsed and another ship was crippled.
Sarpedon grabbed the side of the chair as the ship jolted, hearing a distant explosion. "What was that?!"
"The rear weapon's ammo cooked."
"Is it under control?" Sarpedon started to pace the bridge.
"Yes, the fire is under control. Return fire?"
Sarpedon stopped, "No, split the fleet in two. Send the Emperors and the Leviathans to the less powerful targets and we head to Chaos."
"Aye!"
The 20 Emperor-Class Cruisers and 30 Leviathan-Class Heavy Cruisers departed from the Soul Drinkers and headed towards the Naggeroth ships, while the Soul Drinkers held and returned fire to the Chaos. More torpedoes and cannon shots were directed at the oncoming Chaos ships.
The Imperial Cruisers sped towards the Naggeroth ships, launching grav-torpedoes towards them.

Hundreds of Chronosian fighters dodged and whirred as the main ships turned, shields raised, absorbing many attacks even as some struck metal; the roar of buckling hull filling the void. The weapons roared again; Warp Cannon blasts, turbo laser and ion cannon fire; rending the abyss asunder.
Below; the Obliterators fought on in the palace; while out in the desert; they brushed hands over the ancient tablets.
Drop ships screeched through the atmosphere, disgorging hundreds of corrupt Imperial guardsmen; roaring mockeries of humanity that unleashed hell with eachblast of bolter and plasma rifle; the dropships set off once more; streaks against the sky; one bursting into flame as anti air-craft defences rent it apart; the other dodging through the gauntlet towards the Obliterators. A signal was sent...It was time.
The main ship; the Ecstacy of Slaanesh, the Emperors flagship turned towards Azaha prime; and the front began to unfold; energy crackling about it; the weapon charging...
He opened communications to all ships present.
"Behold the price of resistance; behold the wrath of Chaos...Know that for every moment you draw breath in opposition to the dark gods; you shall suffer greater torments. Vae Victus....Suffering to the Conquered"
A blast of blinding energy emerged from the ship; hurtling through the atmosphere; planetary shields straining, holding; lighting the sky in an aurora of color and shifting energy; before the beam hurtled earthwards. The target had been a major population centre. The initial shockwave shattered countless structures; warp energy burning countless citizens to useless husks, as the energy spread...Flames burst from the ground and from buildings; magma erupted in a dazzling dance of burning, melting crust, and cracked and shattered mantle. Still it continued on; the air itself ionising in the heat. There was an audible crack, as the agonies of the planet brought the continental shelf to destabilise; moving freely over rapidly boiling mantle...
The planet was not yet in its full death throes, not in the least, as the Obliterators hurriedly carried the ancient artefacts into the dropship; taking off just as the massive Warp Cannon sundered the sky, bringing an eerie glow to the horizon as they left.
Marcus watched with an insane glee, he would watch this entire world burn...
Meanwhile; on Azaha VI, Remiel found himself in the courtyard; seemingly alone. In other parts of the facility; crazed marines and Uruks stormed the walls or inner chambers; but Remiel had been drawn here....
"I knew you would come." A voice from the shadows, Randall strode forth, hammer in hand; watching as the great symbol of the Ordo Malleus cracked and degraded under the traitors feet. The earth rocked as more drop pods impacted outside; or perhaps an orbital bombardment tore the planet at some distant point. Looking skyward; the sky was tainted a foul pink....Something happened far above.
"So, the Prodigal son returns"
A chuckle, callous words.
"You would do well to hold your tongue traitor!"
"Would I? What will you do, Randall? Kill your Primarch?"
"I have no Primarch..." He spat.
"Then, join the rest of your loyalist filth brethern.."
Remiel surged forth; swiping with his Manreaper, only to feel himself stopped; the Hammer of the Inquisitor holding him back.
"I declare you Hereticus, Excommunicatus!" He lashed out; driving Remiel back; drawing a hiss from his Primarch's lips. "I shall banish you from this world Daemon, my will shall be my weapon, my faith-" He lashed out again; striking air as Remiel side stepped him and drove the Reaper into his chest; shattering his armor; Randall's zealous words cut off in a flow of blood and a whimpered grunt.
"Shall be your folly..." Remiel quipped dryly, and then pushed the Inquisitor off the blade. "Your fate shall not be to die here; it shall be...To suffer as no other." Remiel kicked him over and drove his hand into the wound; drawing a strangled cry from the mans lips; tears staining eyes that ran with blood. Remiel reached down and raised him forcibly by the throat; pinning him to a great statue that dominated the courtyard; one of Archon Lash.
Later they would find the inquisitor, in the final moments of life; the throes of death overtaking him; crucified; the Eight Pointed star driven hatefully and venom dripping, into his chest.
The Chronosian assault drove the Yaforites back and slaughtered 7 more Black Myrmadions. Ship Commander Leonard Wilkins, the leader of the attack, knew the governemnt would be after his skin, but he faught on. Then, he turned and saw his rescuers.
150 Black Myrmadions, 70 support Saracens, and over 300 Mosquitoes had arrived under Charles Gudanov. Gudanv, a Flotilla Commander, had a reputation among the governemnt and military. He was smart, quick, and could think in an emergency. He was just who Leonard Wilkins needed.
Then the largest force that Yafor 2 had ever sent on a single mission formed a giant arrowhead and, still firing, moved in. Lasers, lightening, and exploding bullets sped through the air as the mass of ships, surrounded my a swarm of the tiny Mosquitoes, plowed towards the Chronosian line.

12-01-2005, 16:48
The Chronosian line held in places and buckled in others; straining to hold the flank against this foe; pushing forward with hate and venom and every weapon it could muster; annointing space with fire and wrath.
Cold contempt poured from the commander as he barked orders to his men; onwards for victory, for the Emperor, for the Dark Gods. They heard; they obeyed, and their maddening zeal drove them to greater acts of bravery and madness. Fighters streaked in crimson flame across the skies of space; opening fire with all they had, before plunging in suicidal desperation and glee; detonating weapons against any they could find. Mines and missles dotted the sky; making all but the greatest or most insane of pilots risk the gauntlet...
And so the war continued; as Marcus De Drakan; still far from the conflict; watched Azaha burn.
The fire was spreading, the city already destroyed and sunk into the burning font of the planet; as energy and heat rippled over the surrounding areas; and began to spread; consuming, crushing, twisting and destroying, before the ground itself melted and plunged into the maelstrom of the slowly burning, cracking, dieing world.
More and more weapons from the warp imapcted on the Soul Drinker's ships, two more were destroyed or crippled.
Sarpedon stood among the flames on his flagship, there was a torrent of water flooding the chamber. He strided over to a console and depressed a button, This is Sarpedon, I am ordering a full retreat. Follow my lead!
The Glory surfaced from the mass of ships and jumped to warp, the other limping ships following. They ran fro lightyears, eventualy exiting the warp and regrouping. They had already sent for reinforcements, they were already on their way...

Now the vessel and hew crew watched as the Chronosian fleet poured energy onto Azaha. Watched with horror as the world burned beneath them. Plumes of molten ejecta arced from weapon impacts only to return to the surface to do more damage. Firestorms swept across the land, no living thing could survive the raging hell.

And attacking myself is a very easy form of entertainment. You just have to drag in others to make it really intersting. But a 4 billion nation vs. a 4 mil wouldn't be any fun, which is why it's perfect for Green Sun and United Cultures to be rivals since they're a day or so apart and they're about the same size and the same level of tech. Despite some additional losses, most enemy fire had not been directed at the small Al-Imvad starships, and so the majority of the fleet remained intact. Admiral Fussha looked calmly at the destruction of Azaha Prime. He did not know the consequences that would result from it. He only knew that the wanton destruction of such a resource-rich planet was against everything he had been brought up to know.He sent a message back to Nonistan requesting further orders and relating the action of the day. It caused quite a stir.
Upon reading the message from Fussha, Joseph XXII wept. Such a horrible people, such disregard for life and property. He had not wanted to support a wave of destruction, he had wanted a wave of change. He called in his ministers, facing a decision he had hoped that he would never have to. He ordered the execution of Plan 11. The evacuation of the civilian population of Nonistan to the safety of Tkal. Within a few hours, 500 million souls would be boarding the giant starships that had brought their ancestors here, and heading away under military escort to temporary shelters on the verdant plains. Away from the magestic mountains which had for so long been the homeworld of the until-recently peaceful nation.
Those that could not be evacuated immediately were brought into the protective walls of the twelve cities. Built to withstand the most powerful forces of nature ever seen by man, these walls were impenetrable. In the fields that spread before the walls of the cities, soldiers would begin fortifying themselves against invasion. After the order to commit to Plan 11 was sent out, the king sent new orders to his admiral: Send the fleet home to rearm and regroup. Take one of the battlecruisers as your command ship and stay with the Chaos until told otherwise. Expect new orders in 72 hours. Fussha followed these orders exactly.

After days of fighting, Green Sun and United Culture's opinion of each other went from one extreme to another. Since Green Sun's spacedocks were occupied by the Gaians, they repaired their damaged fleets at Cultures I and New Hope. Both nations would fight on the side of Chaos in order to keep the balance. Although strong believers in Law, a war between the two would cause not Chaos, but Hell itself. Time had to decide which would win, not Man.
After a few hours, both fleets were ready. They charged up their HyperJump engines and within a few minutes arrived at the battlescene. To their dismay, it seemed that Chronisia had wiped out the planet.
Admiral John-Lee and Admiral Hen'raldo Jah'ahlee stood next to each other. Just a few hours before they were fighting to the death. Ah, how politics can change things. John-Lee turned his head to the Elite. They stared into each other's eyes and nodded. Seraphs and Gattlers were launched to clean up any remaining forces that may linger.

O'Conner rubbed his eyes. The tattered remains of Second Fleet had assembled at the rendevous point. Far too few ships had made it back. The fleet had suffered a 96% casualty rate.
Overall the battle was a loss, even though the fleet had fought bravely to defend Azaha news was heard that the planet was destroyed.
"New orders from FleetCom sir." A young officer said. "We're to report to Confed Shipyards immediately."
"As I suspected. Do they say what exactly will be done, besides repairing battle damage."
"No sir, the orders did not mention that."
"Very well. Helm prepare to take us back to the nest as soon as we get the remains of the fleet back up to FTL capabilty." The helm officer nodded and began to work.
It was hours before repairs had been made to allow the fleet to leave. As one they engaged their TCG drived and let their Alcubierre waves carry them off at superluminal speeds.

Marcus turned from the viewscreen and activated communications; he smiled obscenely as the channels opened to all fleets that named him ally.
"Brothers; today, we have had a great victory; struck a great blow against our enemy; but there is more that must be done. The scum of Yafor 2, do us a dishonor. They shall be the first of our next targets; and the fools of Xessmithia; also seek to oppose us. I say to you; we shall bring our Crusade to each of those who fought us this day. We shall spill their blood till space itself runs red; and the void yawns in hunger for more! Shall we, this day, appease Khorne with sacrifice after sacrifice? I tell you now; we shall wage war on them; and we shall triumph!"

Grand Admiral Fussha was uncertain how to react to this new development. He looked at the faces of his fellow commanders, and checke dthe status of his fleet. He was on a Superior Class Battlecruiser the only one of his ships which was not on its way back to Nonistan. HE raisedhis canteen from his side as a part of the toast, saying: "Unfortunately, my government is recalling most of my fleet, but my remaining vessel will serve to crush any opposition. I will move with the strike on Xessithima and support you as long as I can, but I cannot garauntee that I will be able to see this campaign through to the end."
He signed off the communication with the other fleet commanders and looked at his communications officer questioningly.
"No further orders from Nonistan yet, sir. Shall I relay OUr current plan back to them?"
"Yes, tell them that we will be headed toward the Xessithimans and will arive there in a matter of hours. That I want my revised orders ASAP."

Harold Juxton hadn't left the war room for days. He spent all of his time watching the galactic strategic display. The maze of colours and icons danced in mid-air showing skilled people the state of the galaxy and its occupants.
"Sir, Second fleet has returned and is undergoing reenforcement as we speak. And Third Fleet has completed shaking down it's new additions. It will be at Gateway tommorow."
"Excellent lieutenant." Harold said to the officer. Admiral Harper of OISI walked up to him holding two cups of coffee. Harold took one of them. "Thank you Admiral."
"No problem sir." Harper's face contorted, "I have bad news however. It appears as though Chronosia is launching their second assault. There first target is Yafor 2 and their second is us."
The blood drained from Harold's face, he knew it would happen. He just didn't expect it so soon. "When?"
"I don't know sir. But I can tell you that they will be striking Gateway first. I suggest evacuating as many people as possible and strongly re-enforcing the planet."
Harold nodded and Harper went off to make arangements. He knew what had happened to Azaha Prime, he wouldn't let that happen to his people.

Decimated. That was the single word that described what was left of the might Grey Knights. After a month of carnage, bloody decimation, there was nothing to behold of the Grey Knights, the last of the might inquisitors fell a week ago.
The demons were held at bay only due to the massive rock doors, and the Archon's own pure energy being drawn directly from the warp.
The warp had been teasing him, beckoning him, pulling him to the chaos. He resisted, beat back all who tried to impregnate his mind with the thoughts of the traitor marines and thier demon overlords. But now he has grown weary, his mind weakening, and his barrier faultering, now was time to face what has come to him.
Using the full power of his mind, he lashed out into the warp and real space, sending a phsychic signal out in every direction for miles and miles.
"Demons, your time has come. Overlord... Remiel... I can sense you.. face me, face me in a duel, face me on your own, show me your strength, we shall end this, now!"
With a loud crack and explosion, the phsychic barrier shattered, sending the rock doors held in place flying in every direction, debris pelting everything outside of the doors.
In the center of the massive chamber, the tall built young looking man, with golden blonde hair in a pony tail stood, his body cloaked with extravagent robes. He stood, and waited, his body summoning what power he could muster, waiting.

"On Calliban, Luther betrayed the Lion, and at Istvaan, Horus betrayed the long ago False Emperor. Once again, I have given the sons of Terra reason to hate me; once again I have decimated the bastard children of the True Imperium, millenia gone...Only OUR Emperor remains, for he saw the true light; the way of the Gods..." Remiel chuckled, striding forth; magnificent in corrupt decadence. His long black locks flowed across his armor; and he wore no helmet; but his armor looked as though it were forged by ancient Vaul himself.
"Come, Lash....Show me your hate; show me the remenants of an Imperium long dead and a Terra long abandoned....Show me your soul." He chuckled, drawing his great Manreaper, and idly spinning it.
"I have already spilled the blood of the Traitor; your apprentice I understand, but I hunger for the Librarium, and all the data stored beneath this fortress"
Lash remained at an unsteady calm. The havoc that was already wreaked on his mind showing, his energy in take not what it was, not even close.
"Remiel... that weapon shall be of no use to you now, heathen. You-shall-pay dearly for the lives of the knights you have taken. I will destroy your body, and your 'soul', so that you may never cause destruction to anyone, not even in the warp."
A sneer crossed his face as he closed his eyes. A crack and pop of energy was heard, large blue arcs of psi energy arced across the massive chamber, and straight into Lash.
"You shall see why I am dubbed, Archon!"
He opened his eyes, them glowing a bright white of pure energy. His body cracked and crackled, the room sparked and arced more into him, until finally one large bolt came from the top, striking him, creating a large flash of energy.
The Archon was created.
A body floated, its feet a meter from the ground. A large and thick blue mist covered the body, what body was seen, was the pure outline of a man's body, with no clothing, his physique clear. His eyes glowed and burned. Arcs of energy still arced to and from the Archon. He waited, and beckoned mentally.

"He told me this would happen; whispered it in dreams and visions; beauty as I have never seen; power as I've never known. He told me, little Archon, that this would be my destiny; that this would make me a god..." He chuckled lightly. Outside the noise of combat raged still; but the Grey Knights were all but wiped out; a memory of some greater good; perhaps...
"My Master asked only that I sacrifice all that died here to him; and I have...Whether they fight for you, or me or the men of Doom....He has taken their souls; and he will make me....immortal."
A silhouette, dark and terrible seemed to flicker about Remiel; as he strode forth; seemingly aglow with the energies of the Warp; crackling and coalescing about him, till, in the fury of his power; he seemed almost as a Dark Archon.
"I must defeat you; and when I do..." Remiel chuckled "I shall be gifted Daemonhood...."
Lash laughed loudly, the bellowing sounds of hundreds of men combined into one voice, his laugh transversed even into the psi range, shattering the weak minded anywhere close to him with his laugh.
He spoke, again the voices of hundreds of men combined to one multi toned laugh, both high, low, mighty, weak and prideful.
"You cannot take us, your pathetic wretched soul shall not take our souls, fore they reside in this one body. You are outmatched, traitor. You are in our realm, our place of power, the Emperor watches over us here, his power surging into us. The temple itself will aide us in striking you down. Enough time for talk, traitor, you shall feel our wrath!"
The Archon's eyes burned brighter than a hundred suns and spread his arms wide. The temple itself spit bolts of psi energy at Remiel, the Archon's chest glowed, forming energy, and finally released a ball of pure warp energy at the traitor.

The energy exploded forth; the fortress holding fast as it erupted about it; claiming countless lives as the planet shook and sundered; the void about the world erupting in warp storms and disturbances; the Gods themselves seemed to cry out as they fought.

Far far away a man looked skywards. His heart froze for a moment before his eyes grew wide with greed. He could feel the tugging of the Maelstrom. Rage Incarna were battling. Turning quickly from the slow rage building across the world he was looking at.
"Incarnate are fighting! Everyone to the Wyldstone!" Men clad in mail and kilts ran quickly to a vibrating bit of earth. It shook with each burst that it received on each frequency from the Maelstrom itself. Though no human eye could since the changes broiling within it.
"We must claim this one most assuredly." A voice spoke from somewhere in the group as the gathering began to hum low and deep. Finding the vibration that would keep the very rage fueling the fight alive and in an almost physical form for millenia. They breathed deeply and tried once more. There were too many vibrations involved. It was an anomaly most foul. The Bardic Chief opened his mouth and began to hum louder. In many vibrations and tones. Adding two last vibrations. The collective vibration of the group, the Bardia Symph, and the vibration of the Maelstrom itself. The rage and far flung power being enacted in this battle was preserved now. In the men and in the dark ley line of the Cosmos.
Lash's eyes grew wide and burned hotter than before. He spoke, and only one loud booming voice was heard, "I am no brother of yours!". The blue mist around Lash faulted barely, but stayed true.
The Archon lashed out more, gathering more and more warp energies to himself. He pushed forward his attack, sending a another wave of energy at Remiel. Suddenly he felt another tug of weakness. The pure energy mist faulted again and again. With a screaming shout of what seemed pain he strengthened his resolve again, and pushed on.
The warp was taking its toll on the body and mind of the Archon...

He knew the Emperor would tolerate no failure....
'This is taking far too much effort!' he thought to himself, as his energies pulsed against that of Remiel's.
Indeed though, it was taking far too much effort, so the Archon teared down the mental barrier surrounding his mind, protection from the warp, and focused that energy against the attack at hand. His body sparked and fizzed, as his blue glow flustered and glowed. He let his rage take control of him.

He grunted and roared as he flew back several feet and slammed into the ground. He had lost his concentration, his mind growing weak, the warp sucking him dry.
The blue mist surrounding his body wavered and started to die, but leaned up from his back, thrusted his hand forward, and sent a mediocre powered blast of intense heat and fire at Remiel.

He stood little chance in avoiding in his current position. He caught the intense heat on his body and roared in pain as his frail looking blue body charred and burned. His blue aura dissapated and scattered, his powerful blue form fading, and finally dissapearing, his form returning to that of his original, a young man, though horribly burned.
He rolled onto his stomach and pushed himself up, and faced Remiel slowly.
"You may have beaten me, heretic, but you shall not gain the knowledge in these walls, you shall not, and you will not."
Lash winces in pain and grabbed his face in a futile attempt to sooth himself, but with little luck as his black burned skinned peeled off from his fingers.

"The Emperor has failed you; The Order has failed you...Everything that once supported you has crumbled; what do you have left?" He smirked. "I will tell you; because if you listen, you can hear them; calling you; fuelling you...You know what you want, what you need, who they are who can give you the power you need and desire..."
Exhausted, beaten, burned, that is what was left of the once mighty Archon Lash. Not one vestige of strength was found in him, he was barely able to support himself in standing. His mind was decimated, the pure energies of the warp nearly detroying his mind utterly.
He stumbled back against the wall, and slammed into hit, and stared at Remiel.
"I need power... I need more power..." he said as he looked down at his hands, psi energy barely able to manifest besides almost invisible extremely small arcs of lightning.

"No no no, I can't... it will destroy me... no..." He thought to himself longer, a massive battle going on in his mind, or what was left of it.
"Yes.. I can"

Lash stared up at the ceiling, his once blue pearly eyes now glazed over, his mind caught up in the warp.
"I need more power... once again... the dark gods will give me that... and I shall serve them..."
He fell to his knees and looked over to Remiel. Out of what tattered remains of his cloak was left, he pulled out a smalls stone piece, and tossed it to Remiel's feet.

"THe knowledge here..." He ran his hands over databases, and moved forward, brushing his fingers over the Librarium....His goal.
"All this shall serve the Imperium"
Lash slowly got up and stood, wobbling slightly as he did. He watched Remiel leave, and then stared at the ruined entrance.
Slowly he walked out, his mind sitll connected to the warp, the surging pulsing warp peircing further into his mind.
He walked out slowly and stopped right at the start of the entrance, and gazed over the traitor marines and uruks. He was not sure what to expect, a hail of bolter fire, or treatment reserved for only the highest ranking commanders.

Surely he knew what must not be done...
Lash took the great cloak slowly and donned himself with it. The blasphemous fabric fit him well...
He took the chain axe and looked down at the last remaining of the Grey Knights on the world, and looked them over. Another massive battle insued in his mind. Slaughter those that were his brothers for so long? Or slaughter them like the weak souls they are?
