Southwest Asia

Today was a proud day for Southwest Asia, as it's Orbital Defense Platforms, after years of testing and overtaxed spending, finally went online.

Three of these platforms currently exist, and although only 1 is operational. Their functioning capability is also limited due to the vast amount of energy required.

"Solar power can allow shots to be fired, but at a slow pace. The gun's capabilities extend to little over the range of a medium sized nation." stated Remekei M. Bakalakaka, head scientist on the project from the very 1st orbital station, "Use, of course, requires the highest powers of government's complete agreeement, and if 50% of the populace disagrees, then they cannot be fired."

Southwest Asia intends only to use these guns in cases of extreme peacekeeping.
