Angola Tribal Violence Rages (Commonwealth Forces Do Nothing)

Ovimbundu were massacring the Bakongo tribes in Angola. After two decades of Mississippian scientists and colonial schools teaching them that they were not just separate tribes, but separate races, and telling the Bakongo that they were better than the Ovimbundu, and the Bakongo actually acting as such, and pushing around the Ovimbundu, the Ovimbundu swept down out of their mostly hill area villages and descended on areas they knew the Bakongo were concentrated in.

Mississippian Commonwealth Forces were just sitting in their bases as the crazed Ovimbundu tribals, most armed with just axes and outdated rifles, were running amuck throughout the Bakongo villages, situated largely along the coastal areas.

Mississippian forces failed to see any reason to get involved, they’d been successfully using divide and conquer tactics in their various African possessions for years. The NMWO had made sure the Xhosa and Zulu rivalries had actually exploded into a war, the NMWO had made sure that the Western Saharan blacks and arabs got into major clashes. Each time something happened, Roger would attempt to solve it as best he could, but the forces of shadow government were always working to attempt to undermine his efforts.

Now there were over two million Bakongo in danger of being massacred by the various Ovimbundu militias, the most prominent being the “Angolan Freedom Front”.

Donald Stahlecker, the Governor-General of Angola, had conspicuously not even replied to a single media call. He had simply refused to return calls, having an assistant state, “All is well here in Angola…”

Large bands of AFF paramilitaries armed with M-14B rifles and wearing old MS Jungle BDUs from the 1980s, were caught by international media moving passed a patrol of Commonwealth BMP-3s near a coastal tribal city containing at least 50,000 Bakongo. The soldiers on top of the BMPs waved to the AFF jeeps and then went back to smoking their cigars.

Donald Stahlecker, speaking via the media for the first time stated, “If we were to intervene in these tribal issues, we would suffer an unacceptable level of casualties as we can hardly be accepted to achieve anything of value and meaning without directly placing our soldiers between these feuding tribes…”

John Tallmadge, Governor-General of Mississippian Egypt, has given Donald Stahlecker 12 hours to make efforts and preparations to have forces create safe-zones for civilians not wanting to escape the tribal war or he has threatened to an ME parachute division into Angola to get the job done.

The Commonwealth General Staff of Angola has stated that “At least six thousand armed and well-trained soldiers will be required to stop the tribal violence that is just now starting to rage across rural Angola.”

It is a fact of record that the whites in Angola have a Commonwealth Army of about 350,000, including special forces. However, the government officials of Angola have continually stated, “Our armed forces are not for the protection of non-whites, they are non-persons under the law and as such, they are not entitled to be protected by white soldiers.”

Throughout Angola, the leader of the AFF, began announcing on the radio stations of the Angolan Commonwealth News Network, “We must kill all these swine, or they will surely kill us, we won’t let them get away with what they tried to pull when we backed the Mississippian regime in the last few decades… We won’t let them force their communism on us again, not now, not ever… They killed millions of our people in those wars, now it is they who will die, kill them all, spare none…”

Ooc- In a war in the 2003-2004 timeframe, the Bakongo led a communist insurgency that resulted in the deaths of over 500,000 whites and 2,000,000 Ovimbundu, and then the collapse of MS rule in Angola, which was later restored a few months later.

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?

You used to be a good man, I remember. You used to actually give a damn about people. Now, you've just turned into one of Mississippi's pets- you and your nation are being misused and abused by the Fabuses, in my opinion.

You may seal the borders with Cabinda and Zaire, but any movements of your forces into Cabinda will be considered an act of war and dealt with as such. Besides, I have spoken with Dr. John Tallmadge of Mississippian Egypt and he will be sending a rapid reaction force consisting of four parachute brigades, into Angola, if within twelve hours, the current government there has yet to take actions to stop this tribal violence."

Ooc- No, sorry, but I should be more clear. I am never really looking for people to do things that I could so easily do. I have over 60 million troops at my disposal, counting Federal and Commonwealth forces. I have enough soldiers to do anything and everything... When I am asking for people to RP with, I'm basically asking that they RP a role in the RP, this RP has a few open roles, the most major being the Angolan Freedom Front, and then the second major role being somebody to handle what the Bakongo will do (form a rebel group, who knows? Ooc- Firstly, The Deities, I must unfortunately decline, seeing as you are far too young a nation to know my nation's style, and thus I don't think it would work.

Secondly, Roach Busters, yes indeed...

In 1988, when Mississippi first began gaining settlements in Angola, we played the Bakongo against the Ovimbundu, to get them to kill off lots of them and clear the way for further MS settlement. However over the years, we shifted to backing the Ovimbundu against the Bakongo as the Bakongo started to drift towards communism.

In July of 2004, as the guerilla war was raging, and MS citizens were fleeing in fear and disgust (the Federal garrison of 400,000 was pulled out, as part of a Curtis conspiracy, and thus the White Colonial forces dwindled as the citizens who made up their army, fled with their families, dwindling to about 50,000 Colonial army, the Ovimbundu helped the White Colonial armed forces try to stop the Bakongo communist movements, but to no avail. And thus many of the Ovimbundu were evacuated (500,000 total evacuated) to other parts of the MS Empire (now the MS Commonwealth) and thus they decided they could trust the MS Roger Fabus regime and that it was okay to obey him in the future.

But they also trust Curtis and often obey him, but he is not behind this latest genocide war. He was behind the collapse of MS rule in Angola in July of 2004, and the still ongoing Xhosa-Zulu crisis in South Africa. He was behind the 1995 terrorist bombing of the Ministry of Finance building in Jackson City, he was behind the instigation of the massive white muslim uprisings in Western Sahara in the fall of 2004. He was behind the instigation of many of the race riots throughout Mississippian Egypt and Western Sahara. Basically there hasn't been a major bombing (terror attack) in MS in the last 15 years that wasn't in reality actually carried out by the DISFB or some other intell group operating on the orders of Curtis Fabus, taking his orders on high from his handlers in the New Mississippian World Order cabal.

Ooc- The whites all live in either

1) Large cities (most)

2) Small commercial farming communities (lots)

3) Small rural communities near farming communities (some)

4) In compounds located around mines, oilfields, and other areas they oversee native labor (few)

All of the above are very well-guarded. At least 1 brigade is assigned to guard each major city, some cities have 2-3 divisions to guard them (Lobito, Luanda, etc)

I suggest you launch tribe vs tribe, and massacres, etc... If you insist on attacking whites, make sure it's a guerilla attack, probably on rural roads between far-flung settlements, that is when they are most vulnerable as the convoys often get spread out a bit too far.

If anybody attacks the whites, it will likely be Bakongo rebels that form into something called, Angolan Patriotic Front, or something like that. Bakongo Liberation Army, who knows, something that sounds marxist, secular, and typical of African tribal warfare.

The concept of peace was as foreign to Angolans as was the concept of freedom to people suffering under the yoke of communist enslavement. War had ravaged this country for decades, the fields were littered with undetected landmines which were a frequent cause of dismemberment and incapacitation, and ethnic tensions frequently fueled bitter conflict between the various tribes. This had been going on for years. It was nothing new. Only now, it was far worse than it ever had been before. Amid the desolate, barren, dusty plains, amid the savage lions, decomposing skeletons of the dead, and gracefully leaping antelope, blood was being shed every day. The latest massacre was no less appalling than its predecessors.

The scene a small, rural Angolan village of flimsy huts and shacks, inhabited by malnourished people with paper-thin skin, decrepit limbs, deeply sunken eyes, and visible skeletons. Drought and famine had inflicted just as much devastation as had the ongoing tribal violence, as evidenced in the ghastly appearances of these suffering people.
As the sun descended in the distance, settling beyond the valley and suffusing the plains in a shimmering, orange glow, militant Ovimbundu tribesmen, brimming with insatiable lust for the destruction of their enemies, and barely able to contain their seething hatred, embarked on a journey to this village to sate their appetites for death.
The villagers were just finishing tending to their withering, dying crops when one of the villagers, drenched in gore and barely alive, collapsed to the ground in front of them. His right had been gouged, his throat was slit, his face was bruised and badly beaten, many teeth were missing, and there were multiple stab-wounds in his chest and lower abdomen.
As he lay there, dying, his eyes glittered vacantly, his lips trembling spasmodically as he choked out his last words in Portugese. However, death overcame him before he could identify his assailants, not that it was necessary.
As onlookers gaped in awe, disgust, and sheer terror, the militants bum-rushed them from behind, knocking them all roughly to the ground.
The militants chanted, raved, and cursed as they wrought havoc on everything in sight. Women were gang-raped, children were impaled by spears and decapitated, men were castrated, beaten, and disemboweled, houses were burned to the ground, and the few livestock the village had were slaughtered without mercy.
Within minutes, the village was a blood-soaked graveyard.

(OOC: How was that?)

How can anyone show apathy toward this and still call himself a human being? Jackson Anders, foreign correspondent for Roach-Busters National News Network, thought, his face contorted in an expression of livid anger and ill-concealed disgust, as he surveyed the carnage. Thick fumes of smoke engulfed the air, and the rank, horrid, and nauseating stench of blood permeated his nostrils.
His assistant, Manny, an obese, bearded, bespectacled man fresh out of college with a bottomless appetite for jelly donuts, stood alongside him, snapping photographs. Neither man spoke.
This is f***ing insidious, Anders thought. A serene man who was rarely riled, appalled, angered, or disgusted, he could barely stomach this. His intestines churrned and rumbled, threatening to erupt and spew the contents of the corn beef sandwich he had half an hour ago. His flesh was pale, icy cold, and perspiring.
Without unsteady, badly shaking hands, he scribbled down a summary of the scene on his notepad, his traumatized mind barely registering what his trembling hands wrote.

"We're, uh...tourists," he said in a lame, flat, unconvincing tone, and uttered a chuckle that lacked credibility and made palpable his extreme apprehension.

The expressions on the Bakongolese tribesmens' faces were equivelent to those of boys leafing through naughty magazines. Grinning, nearly in tears with joy, they eagerly rushed over to the boxes, hoisted them out of the Land Rover, opened them, and began foraging the insides, snatching out their contents.
The chief calmly strode over, lightly whacked each of them with his cane, and said in an unrecognizable dialect, "Control yourselves."
In perfectly articulate Portuguese, he said in a very deep, composed voice, "I am grateful, but in no way would be able to reimburse you for these weapons. I am sorry."

Rumbling and rattling along the road, a land-rover spattered with mud made its way towards Mississipian controlled territory. Prominently, it had on the roof a painted Lavenrunzian flag, as well as displaying it on the doors and such.
Inside, Gerhard Kessler, his wife Inge and their son and daughter, Gottlieb and Francesca, sat tensely. Hearing the news, they had done their best to evacuate earlier but conflicting responses about when to be ready had found them helplessly watching the overloaded helicopters leaving their area.

Gerhard was the manager of a Gestalt-Fabricken mining company in the region, which had been till lately quite successful. Then one day the workers had almost entirely fled, and the few who remained explained that the fetishes--skulls of baboons and such--left on the fence posts were a warning, that all who remained after a certain time would be killed.

A veteran of the Imperial Airborne Corps, he was nevertheless frightened for his family, as was Inge, who had been a navy nurse. Both had seen war, and wanted their children safe from it. As they travelled the road, Inge reached for Gerhard's hand, pausing in telling the rosary for just a moment.

Already large sections of the country had been totally secured and most civilians were safe from the threat of the tribal war. The land rover from Lavenrunz was moving along down the rural road, up ahead they saw a checkpoint and two BMP-3s, there were at least a dozen or so Mississippian Egyptian paratroopers at the checkpoint. One was motioning with his hand for them to stop.

The Bakongo lined up, and Da Silva soon began putting them into groups.

He knew that they weren't raw recruits, but by golly, they couldn't shoot straight. So, he put some paper targets in front of them, mainly happy faces, and ordered them to hit the center.

"Hit the center of the target's face. Always aim for the head. I will only let you fight if can be accurate."

The Bakongo responded quickly, and began to open fire. A few did well, others did okay, and a few more missed.

Jim shook his head. "Jesus. We have more work to do. Aim for the center of the target!"

He began to walk up to every one of them, and corrected their deficiencies, straightening their posture, forcing their glance actually down the sights, it was hard, but he did the corrections.

"Fire again! Don't miss! Prove to me that you can kill!"

The Bakongo shot the targets. This time, they didn't miss.

Jim smiled, "Now you're getting it. Do it again....."

1200 hrs LIMA (local time)

General Katanahu Nihari looked out from the dome of his Merkava Mk. V Main Battle Tank at the chaotic borderlands between Zaire and Angola as the harsh sunlight beat down on his brow.

Thanks to the discredited racial 'science' of the Decisive Action colonial government, mass slaughter and genocide was taking place, right in the Imperium's backyard. Granted, Tyrandis generally didn't care about the internal affairs of other nations, but the violence was rapidly spinning out of control. Already, some minor border skirmishes had been fought by the DRC Border Guards against fleeing Bakongo and Ovimbundu, and the frequency of these street fights was constantly increasing.

On the other hand, under the rule of the Militant Imperium of Tyrandis, the Democratic Republic of the Congo was on the way to becoming a first world nation. Through the campaigns of "cultural evolution", the colonial authorities destroyed the backwards tribal traditions that kept most of Africa from becoming rich and prosperous. Indeed, the DRC was on the way to near-independence, as the only real Tyrandisan influence on daily life was the imposition of certain economic rules.

Along with these domestic changes came the rise of a modern army, one more than capable of dealing with the militaries of the DRC's avaricious neighbors. Trained by TMILCOM, a new generation of officers and enlisted personnel had given the Democratic Republic of the Congo a massive fighting force that had both quantity and quality.

However, the rapidly deteriorating situation to the south was threating the security of the region, and had to be crushed. The violence had to be stopped, but the Decisive Action colonial authorities refused to do anything. Something had to be done, lest the maelstrom of chaos spread into the borders of sovereign Tyrandis.

And thus, Operation ONYX KNIGHT was crafted. A masterful plan to invade and restore order to the area, the DRC military would topple the corrupt Stahlecker regime and institute order to Angola.

---

[Opening Assault: Aerial]

1205 hrs LIMA

A flight of Congo warplanes would have the honor of striking the first blow against the fascist oppressors of Angola. The Democratic Republic of the Congo Air Force (DRCAF) had been rebuilt after the initial conquest ravaged it utterly. The DRCAF had in its possession, several hundred TSB-8Y Talon Multi-mission Bombers and a few thousand TSF-28A Seraph Air Superiority Fighters. These birds were the latest in Tyrandisan aerial technology, and could easily defeat the 80's-era aircraft that the DA forces used. Tyrandisan military doctrine called for the initial attack to hit communications, RADAR, and Air Defense positions hard, giving the invasion air superiority and leaving the defenders disorganized.

Within two hours, some one hundred and sixty TSB-8 Talon Multi-mission Bombers, escorted by three hundred and twenty TSF-28 Seraphs, roared off the massive airfield at Kinshasa, and began heading south towards occupied Angola. Along with these combat aircraft were two E-767 Sentinel AWACS planes. The TSB-8s kept extraordinarily low, below 100 feet, to avoid stationary SAM fire and keep under the DA RADAR's 'hard floor', ensuring that they would remain undetected until they unleashed their payloads. The Seraphs and AWACS, on the other hand, kept at an altitude of 50,000 feet, to watch the skies.

As the TSF-28s and E-767 kept a vigilant eye for Mississippian CAPs, the TSB-8s swiftly acquired their targets. RADAR, SAM batteries, airfields, communications centres were marked for destruction. All of these key positions were discovered by RAVEN SATINT and other TNIA intelligence-gathering moves.

When the TSB-8s were within one hundred kilometres of their target, some 2 AGM-88Y High-speed Anti-Radiation Missiles were launched at each and every RADAR and communications section. Seeking out the massive antennas and waveguide systems mounted on these stationary targets, each of these missiles released some 14,500 Depleted Uranium fragments at their victims. As for their other targets, the airfields and SAM batteries, five AGM-521 Tactical Land-Attack-Missiles were fired at each of these. The TLAMs were designed specifically to leave massive craters, thus rendering their targets utterly inoperable. Meanwhile, the E-767 and TSF-28 teams advanced slowly to avoid SAM battery fire. The massive RADAR on the E-767 would filter out any aircraft at several hundred km away, and send the Seraphs after them.

---

[Opening Assault: Ground]

1335 hrs LIMA

As soon as the aircraft reported their strike against the positions of DA, the army of the DRC sprang into action.

The first shots of the war on the earth were fired by the massive 145mm guns of the Centurion artillery, either towed or self-propelled. General Nihari, the overall field commander of this operation, had ordered a Time-on-Target barrage. Designed to send every single shot from the morass of field guns onto their target at the same instant, to deny their victims a chance to take cover, TOT was easily the most horrifying invention ever made in tactical barrage.

Some six thousand Centurions were assembled for this mission, their Electro-Thermal-Chemical cannons and crews lusting for the chance to liberate their brethren in the south. These shells loaded for the first volley were all Variable-Time, meaning that the fragments from the blast would crate an ice-cream cone of death, shredding the unlucky infantry within 200 feet of the radius.

As soon as this first volley ended, hydraulic loading quickly sent more shells into the guns, these being standard HE, to destroy fortified positions. The munitions whistled through the air, assisted by RAMjet propulsion, leaving corpses of men and machines in their wake. The shelling continued to pour waves of fire on the Decisive Action lines, at a rate of almost 36,000 shells per minute, but due to logistical concerns, this awe-inspiring barrage would not last for long. Either way, the guys on the other side of the wire were screwed beyond all recognition. Meanwhile, some one thousand odd M270-ER MLRS were kept in reserve, ordered to hold fire. They would remain out of sight until the DA batteries responded to the initial barrage, and begin counter-battery operations. Furthermore, several thousand Black Arrow SAMs and MINERVA Fiber-Optic-Laser Defense Arrays were spread out along the line, to protect against SSM and aerial retaliation.

The shelling ceased in one, terrible hour. From the borders of the DRC, a massive host of over 500,000 troops and armor spilled into the borders of Decisive Action-ruled Angola...

Official Statement from the Department of Foreign Affairs

"At 0600 ZULU this morning, forces of the Militant Imperium of Tyrandis have launched Operation Onyx Knight, an endeavour to restore security to the African region.

In the past weeks, Mississippian colonial authorities failed to ensure civil order within their sovereign borders as thousands of natives slaughtered each other in a grotesque display of bloodshed. As a defender of national sovereignity, Tyrandis would not have acted if DA kept the carnage within her own territory.

However, the lack of response from the colonial govt has forced the hand of the Imperium in this matter. Simply put, their neglect has endangered our own nation, and has merited mobilization of military forces to the area.

We will pacify the region and restore order by any means necessary."

The Bakongo elder said, "Thank you sir! We will do this immediately."

Prepared to deal with it? In all my days in military operations, I have never seen a first world army nearly as incompetent or poorly led as your own. Because you have seen fit to neglect your own territory, the forces of the DRC WILL institute civil order, at gunpoint if necessary.

Official Statement from the Office of the Executor

"The actions of our colonial possession are independent from the main government in Australia. You would do well to contact Walter Spiegel, the governor of the DRC. However, if I may speak my piece... whoever is in charge of the Angolan territory is an idiot. Letting people kill each other is one thing... allowing it to spread into the sovereign borders of foreign nations is another. You should have expected this reaction, for Tyrandis is well known for our intolerance of foreign activities within our territories."

OOC: DA, what are your casualties from that aerial/artillery barrage?

Also, Committee of Vigilance, the Merkava Mk. V I use is three generations ahead of the Soviet T-72... which means that trying to use them against my armored divisions is like sending babies to fight wolves. Furthermore, RPGs can't do crap to the extensive reactive armor systems mounted on all my vehicles, IFVs and cargo trucks included.

Ooc- This is going to rapidly fall apart and get into the same earlier arguments if you insist that <MY> people are spreading across your borders again... They are my people, show me where I Rped MY people crossing borders? As for losses, here goes.

Ic-

The barrage had been bad enough, but nothing the soldiers weren't used to, they'd been shelled with live rounds during training, to "Weed out the stupid and inept" any soldier worth his salt would probably live in most barrages, but still the sheer intensity had claimed no less than two thousand and six hundred lives and several times that wounded. A few dozen of the dead were civilians and reporters, mixed in with army units for some reason.

Most, indeed nearly all of the missiles fired, had been either intercepted by SDI (we have over 10,000 SDI missiles, 20,000 SAMS, many patriots, and since we don't have to use them all at once, we could quite realistically target each incoming missile with between 2-5 intercepots, thus downing most of them), or had landed on targets the Commonwealth government considered "unimportant" although that just a term they gave to the public so they didn't have to admit losing a few key radar stations, but satellites and other radar would help them, so they figured they'd be fine.

However the major airbases in Luanda were knocked out and would be so for a few days, but no MiG-41s were based there. Indeed 1/3 of the MiG-41s, and 1/4 of all other fighters, in keeping with standard procedure, were always in the air. The MiG-41s immediately responded to the incursions by going to Mach 4.2 and heading for the nearest flight of hositle aircraft, they'd be firing the AIM Kluxer Missiles, with a range of nearly 100 miles.

And they decided to retaliate by firing over five hundred conventional cruise missiles against key military, economic, and government installations in DRC.

Donald Stahlecker issued a statement that "If outside forces move one inch south of the city of Ambriz, it will be clear they intend to attack Luanda, we will then respond with tactical and strategic weaponry with the goal being to wipe them out."

As it was, he had ordered the T-98s along the border to engage at will, any and all DRC forces. And the SA-19s were ordered to "At all costs, keep the skies clear so the tanks can do their job on the ground."

OOC: Guess I'll have to import heavier stuff........

IC:

The Bakongo militia and Da Silva reached an old maize field. At bayonet point and with nothing but gruel and water, they forced the Ombivindu to work, and clear the field.

As the Bakongo watched, the Ombivindu worked long and hard....the overseer looked at his watch, he had only a few hours to complete the task before the C-47's arrived and dropped their goods.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, Jim called Norm again.

"Hey Norm......this is Jimmy. Rumor has it that the Tyrandians are bringing heavier s**t. Like Merkavas......"

Norm said, "Relax.....you worry too much, would you like me to send you some SMAW's, or Javelins? Look, you have a jungle to play in, make log traps....."

Jim said, "Look, these aren't some militia as***les. These are crack troops. You make log traps. We need tech, not just creativity. Send Javelins and Barrett's, and maybe land mines. For the love of God."

Norm said, "Fine. You will get your tech...quit whining. Expect the C-47's to be delayed. The Rover's will come on time."

Jim said, "Thanks man."

He then hung up......and stared thoughtfully at the scene of the Ombivindu laborers. Perhaps the terrain could be used wisely.....

Ooc- I have often RPed my heavy tanks becoming mired in mud, because they are so armored heavily. If you have heavy reactive armor on all your already heavy cargo trucks (cargo trucks don't haul light-weight feathers you know) you are going to have serious problems on ALL rural roads in Angola, and ALL rural bridges (we don't care enough to make good rural bridges, except a few on roads that lead to white farming areas)

OOC: I didn't say heavy reactive armor on my cargo trucks. It's just a layer of nERA. Also... there were several hundred thousand shells falling on the border positions, and yet only 2,600 people were killed?

Explain how you can have RADAR from satellites, if you would... Also, Mach 4.2 is impossible for a turbofan-powered aircraft. Remember that IM conversation we just had? I'll recognize them up to Mach 2.5, which is pretty generous considering that they have slightly less than half the power of an F-15 Eagle...

IC:

[The Air War]

It was a tense moment indeed. The massive RADARs on the E-767s had quickly picked up the incoming MiG's bearing and speed, as well as the vast number of Kluxer LRAAMs they fired. The crews onboard quickly warned the pilots of the TSF-28s of the coming danger, and they reacted with characteristic composure and skill.

Since the Tyrandisan pilots knew that the incoming missiles used RADAR guidance, the TSF-28s activated their medium-range jammers to hopefully scramble their seekers and thus force the munitions to miss. Furthermore, each of the Seraphs dropped chaff, to thus divert the attentions of the DA missiles.

All the while these counter-measures were being made, the TSF-28s quickly reacted to the arrival of the MiGs. At the same instant the hostiles fired their volleys, a pair of Eagle XBVRAAMs were fired at each of the oncoming Belemese fighters, their payloads screaming through the skies at a speed of Mach 5.4 as the intricate Semi-Active RADAR system mounted on the missiles guided them towards their prey, the DA fighters. Once they reached within range, the LIDAR seeker section engaged along with the SCRAMjet engine, propelling the Eagles to a speed of Mach 6.5. All the while, command link guidance from the E-767 Sentinels would ensure that any attempts to counter this swarm of missiles would fail.

"Condor I to Hawk Squadron!" radioed an AWAC's communications officer, "I read over bogies inbound, suggest bearing zero-five-two, angels three-one. I'll try and bring you guys up on the DA formation's five o'clock!" The sixty birds of Hawk obeyed this advice, and screamed through the clouds at a speed of Mach 2.8, fast but still slow enough to manuver effectively.

The DA planes would never see it coming. The extensive stealth features of the TSF-28 kept them virtually invisible, and the fact that they were coming up behind ensured that whatever RADAR the MiGs carried was worthless, since they knew that the MiG carried a system only in it's nose. Without warning, they dropped in on the MiGs, Hawk XMRAAMs blazing from a range of 150 kilometres. These foxes had an Active RADAR/LIDAR seeker, and were among the best in the world. Two of these were launched at each and every MiG, and the Seraphs then accelerated to a speed of Mach 3.2, pulse-det hybrids blazing in the bloodstained skies above Africa as their 27mm cannons reached out towards their victims...

---

[The Ground War]

The DA people would never learn. It was time for the MINERVA and Black Arrow systems to make their mark on the battlefront, as the lasers homed in on their prey, the incoming vampires from the south. Brilliant flashes of intercepted missiles dotted the morning sky, as the crews on the ground worked at their effort to stop the coming storm. The RADAR installations were working overtime, tracking and attacking each and every one of the cruise missiles. Unfortunately, not even the best defense is perfect, and two survived the web of defenses, damaging an antenna and killing six.

It was time to bring down the house, as it were. The Merkava Mk. Vs used by the 1st Colonial Army provided the spearhead for the offensive, supported by VTA-68 Lancer helicopter gunships. Considering that the idiots over in DA forgot to target the Centurion artillery, the merciless shelling continued as data on force deployments from Galaxyhawk UAVs was fed to the mighty guns. Hydraulic loading continued to send more and more shells into the 145mm pieces, all blasting apart those border positions that still offered meager resistance. An armored fist from the north was bearing down on the colonial government as the Tyrandisan infantry supported by M-7 St. Christophers and Merkava Mk. Vs smashed through the shell-pocked border defenses...

Ooc- When did I ever say my MiGs only had radar in their nose? Whatever RL MiGs are, mine are NS MiGs, unless there are really MiG-41 Good Ole Boys I don't know about in RL. When did I ever say my missiles were radar trackers? They are a combination of heat-seeking, pilot guided, and radar tracking, depending on the varying situations, they can be used in either roles. And I fire 500 missiles, you refuse to take any losses over 6 men? Hell, people say I shy from losses, I lost well over 2,000 from your artillery, rather than just godmodding my way out of it, which seems what you are doing with it. And now you are RPing just smashing through my defenses without even allowing me to post what the defenses are and what they can do? I can't RP like this and I won't RP like this.

OOC: Ok, look. The RL MiG, the Foxbat you based the design on has a RADAR in it's nose, meaning it's limited to a roughly 120 degree scope. If I assumed you used the same system wrongly, then I apologize. Furthermore, I only posted a loss of six men because several hundred thousand shells only killed 2,000ish on your side. Also, you could still retaliate from your border, I just said that my forces are aggressively invading.

OOC: Quick and dirty.....Gerhard Rumsfeld needs an answer.

IC:

As these events were occuring, the field for the C-47's was cleared.

Now, the Bakongo retreiveal party waited for the supplies which would come by air. The Land Rovers had arrived......

-----------------------------------------------------------

As the fighting between the Tyrandians and he Mississippian Angolan troops began in earnest, the Bakongo launched another series of raids on the Ombivindu.

They took advantage of their superiority in arms and the fact they had actualy been taught to shoot straight. At every village it was the same, a rocket or mortar attack, then a violent raid to finish off the enemy troopers inside. Then, the women and children would be taken away as labor. In all, only about 5,000 Bakongo were lost, impressive compared to other ops.

It seemed that the Ombivindu were surprised by this, they never expected this to happen from the Bakongo.......

Ooc- I never ever said my MiG-41 was based on the Foxbat. I said it was a hybrid design of Western and Eastern technology. If you insist on godmodding what my weapons are designed on, then I'll have no choice but to ignore you. Also, if you fired several hundred thousand shells in that little time, your guns would overheat and explode.

Jim got a call on his Sattelite phone.

"Yes. This is Jimmy."

It was "Norm," the mystery man from before. He said, "Good day, Mr. Da Silva. Please light an emergency signal, triangular formation of flares, use purple."

JIm nodded, and hung up.

He ordered the Bakongo to get the purple ground flares, and arrange them in a triangular formation in the field. The Bakongo lit them, and they soon emitted a purple smoke......
----------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, A flight of six gray C-47's flew over the Angolan jungle.....speeding toward the cleared field, they would be looking for a triangular signal flare, normally used for rescue ops. Only, it would be purple.

OOC: Bottom of post #80, Rumsfeld made his pitch......not to nag.

But regarding your criticism of my artillery:
1. I had 6,000 guns pouring down fire.
2. Each of these were shooting 6 shells a minute. (36,000 shells a min total, give or take)
3. The barrage lasted one hour, meaning that each individual gun only fired 360 shots.
4. Not only that, I have a system where a mixture of liquid nitrogen and SCP is mechanically injected into the Centurion to cool it down every 300 shots or so.

Meanwhile, Jim Da Silva, seeing the Tyrandian aircraft, went, "Shit. These f**kers are going to mess things up."

He pulled out his phone, and called the same mysterious number he had dialed before.

A voice on the other end responded. "Hello?"

Jim said, "This is Jimmy. Some s**theads from Tyrandis are moving across the border, they're going to kill my tribals. Norm, you'd better do something."

Norm grew cold. "Jim......I am disappointed...I thought everything was under control, nevermind that, how fares the Bokongo? Have you gotten them to shoot straight?"

Jim brightened and said, "Yes, Norm and more. They just raided a village, took some Ombivindu for POW labor. Killed every enemy militiaman, they did good. I like what I see, I'm gonna have to ask you to kick it up a notch, Norm."

Norm went, "Well?"

Jim said, "I need tanks. At least PT-76 level, or T-72. These Tyradnian f**ks are going to chew up my men. I need heavy support."

Norm smiled. "Jim...you underestimate yourself. You forget your RPG's so easily. You don't need tanks....not yet at least. Anyway, I have Gerhard on the job, he will ensure more arms get up to you soon."

Jim said, "Gerhard the twig? Shit. At least he will get the job done. That's good, when's my next shipment coming in?"

Norm said, "It will be coming soon. The chaos resulting from the Tyrandian incursion will provide me a window to smuggle arms for you.......look for six C-47 Dakotas, they will be gray, they will drop more guns for you. Clear out a spot for them. Also, look for five Land Rovers, they will come your way in 48 hours."

Jim said, "Yes sir."

Hanging up, he walked to the Bokongo elder. He then said to him, "Okay, I need you to do something. I need you to get those Ombivindu you captured, and I want you to clear out a spot for us.....some planes from my organization are coming in, they will be delivering more guns for you."

The Bakongo elder said, "Thank you sir! We will do this immediately."

The Bakongo elder motioned for a company of Bakongo, and a party of manacled Ombivindu, and motioned to find a spot to clear out for the C-47's.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Gerhard bowed, extended his hand and said, "Gerhard Rumsfeld, CEO of the Imperial Diamond Company. My company was thinking about making an investment in your country's diamond mines, using local labor and my transports, particularly around Menoungue."

The CEO's inquiry was forwarded to the governor-general, Donald Stahlecker, who issued a prompt reply. (ooc- yes, I know it's not prompt, forgive me :( )

In the meantime, Gerhard called a man on his satellite phone, using secure frequency.

A wavery voice came on the other side. "Ah yes, Gerhard......I will say this for you, you have good luck."

Gerhardt said, "Well, not exactly, the Mississippians insisted on handling security, it will make things hard."

Thee voice said, "Relax, Gerhard, If you don't make it horribly obvious, and if you are careful, you will be fine, anyway, there is always the almighty dollar...."
