MiG-28 Flounder
The MiG-28 Flounder is a new development and joint project from Hallad and Maldaathi. It incorporates the designs from both nations best aircraft designers, and makes major upgrades on the MiG-27 Flogger D. The original design was created in Hallad, early 2001. Lack of funds delayed the development of the aircraft. The project was reborn in 2002, and with a stronger economy Hallad was able to fully fund the project. After some talks with the nation of Maldaathi, it was decided to allow them to work on the project, and help fund it.
The MiG-28 incorporates the latest radar and weapons guidance systems from Hallad and Maldaathi. The weapons system is similar to that of the Su-36 Imperator, the MiG-28, however, is incapable of using the AA-11. The MiG-28 can target 4 enemies simultaneously and can hold up to 10 missiles.
The engine is the latest Lyullka engine available, the 41F, which gives the thrust over 39,000 lbs. Along with this, the wing structure makes the MiG-28 very maneuverable, able to outmatch such American favorites as the F/A-22 or F-35. Due to the MiG-28s fold-back wings it is expected that a naval model will come out soon, however niether HNAM or MNMI have mentioned any intention of creating a K model.
