After many longs days of waiting, the results of the Royal States Elections are in. All 4 states and all of their provinces are reporting a 99.959% voter turnout. They also report income from non-voter fines rated somewhere around 6 billion USD in total, which is expected to go straight into the Ministry of Commerce.

And here are the numbers, we're recieving them now:

Tenarius Election Results
Population: 1,626,515,048
Votes Issued: 1,625,848,176 (99.959%)

The Royalist Party:
Votes Recieved: 520,271,416 (32%)

The Liberal Party:
Votes Recieved: 120,433,198 (13.5%)

The Socialist Party:
Votes Recieved: 504,012,934 (31%)

The Conservative Party:
Votes Recieved: 132,182,778 (12.3%)

The Imperialist Party:
Votes Recieved: 182,094,995 (11.2%)

The Administration reports a close race, but the Royalist Party has won the day by a single percentage point of the population! The Socialist Party must be feeling the burn on this one, they were doing so well early on, but the Royalist Party barely managed to pull ahead in the end. Congratulations to both of them for winning the hearts of such a large percent of the population.

The Coronation of Princess Natsuki Amashi has not yet been announced, but we'll be sure to keep you all informed as to when it occurs. Thank you, and good night ladies and gents.

Damn! and the Socialists were doing so good! I have failed to convert yet another nation...Oh well, The Dominion of Emporer Pudu wishes Natsuki a long and glorious reign.

OOC: Next time I want a Sochist candidate in there, even if my FIA Agents send him in and tamper votes, I will win your government!

Rebepacitopia offers its most ingenuous condolences to the socialists of your fine nation. They are all welcome to move to the Greater Socialist Realm if they should so choose.

The President would like to inquire. With the vote so close and no party holding a majority can we expect some of the ‘runners up’ to form a coalition government; thereby overturning the Royalists. Perhaps I speak through ignorance but could not the liberal party and the socialist party create a tapered agenda based on their over lapping ideals?

If you could do that, then it would be logical that the Imperialist, Conservative and Royalist Parties could ban together, since they all have similar ideals.

I am not privy to all the details of the system in Tenarius, I merely draw from example in other parliaments, including our own.

Again merging three parties would be more difficult than two, but perhaps there is enough common ground. Regardless the question stands.

OOC:

You could send in the FIA Mr. F., but good luck, they would probably get caught by the multitude of neutral vote-watchers, security cameras, and other such goodies in the voting processions.

IC:

The vast majority of the Socialist Party of Tenarius has mostly declined Rebepacitopia, saying that it is perfectly content in Tenarius and has no reason to quit just because their candidate suffered a narrow loss.

All 5 of the parties have 'healthy' rivalries and won't be banding together any time soon. The Democratic process has been going on like this for hundreds of years and it isn't likely to stop any time soon because one party lost. The Liberal party won the last election, and the Conservatives won the election before that, and so on and so forth. A coalition government to overthrow the Royalists is unlikely to happen in the near future.

Princess Natsuki Amashi extends her thanks to the Dominion of Emperor Pudu.

Apologies, all 5 of the MAJOR parties have rivalries. There are dozens of smaller parties, but as a general rule they never earn a slot in the 5 candidacy positions for the Queen.

Thank you for answering my queries.

With my curiosity sated I must extend my heartfelt congratulations to Princess Natsuki Amashi on her successful ascension. It is always good to see another rational democracy successfully change administrations in an effective and organized manner. Should the Princess care to tour Nova Hope after her coronation, or wish to have a Noviet delegate present for said event, both can be arranged. Nova Hope is always welcome to foreign dignitaries, especially those from such an esteemed powerbase.

The Princess has shown interest in diplomatic relations with Nova Hope, and may find some time to tour your nation. To have a delegate present at the coronation is not necessary, although if you wish to send one anyway, you may do so. The Royalist Party also thanks you for your congratulations, and has sent thanks for your offers to the People of Tenarius.

The ONI Concordiat also extends a warm congradulations, and will provide military assistance, if need be, to the government of Tenarius.

Tenarius is perfectly capable of defending itself if attacked, but thanks ONI Concordiat for the offer.

Nonsense of course it is necessary. We hope that a fruitful relationship with Tenarius is in the cards so to speak. Were it not for certain prior engagements I would definitely be there to witness this event. As both I and the Prime Minister are not able to attend, due to the previously mentioned engagement, I would like to send both Harold Kanagaki and Malcolm Hadley.

Malcom Hadley represents the ministry of foreign affairs to the government; while Harold Kanagaki represents our the ministry to other nations, such as yours.

I again apologize for my inability to attend but I hope you will allow these men to represent me in my absence.

The Royal States of Tenarius would be honored to have them attend the Coronation, and their names will be added to the guest list.

(OOC: Great TG me the link when your ready to do that. If it happens soon, aw crap but no worries. [refer to sig] I figure this could be a first overture at diplomacy between our nations. Again if I miss it no worries.)

(It will probably be at least a week before I have the whole thing planned. It isn't going to be just any old boring political RP either, I plan to add a few twists to mine.)

Members of the Sochist party are considered a minority and probably will not earn one of the 5 candidate positions during the election period.
