One of the convoys shipping materials from TehInterwebGame's former region of the West Pacific to the planet of H4X has been attacked by unknown vessels, presumed to be pirates around two hours from H4X by warp. Here is the communication sent to the spaceport just minutes ago:
*bzzt* This is convoy vessel 4X2, lieutenant Frog Weisenburg commanding..we've been *bzztttt* damaged.. *bzzt* missiles stuck in hull, leaking plasma can't escape *bzztttt*
Due to the weak state of TehInterwebGame's military, help is requested. Four interceptors have been traveling toward the vessel, but any vessel that could take down an entire convoy (equipped with 2X shield generators) with such old weapons as nuclear missiles is still very dangerous.
Back in the H4X Government Office,
the secretary of defense, Jake Schoenberg, was taking his anger out on the shield generator company's CEO, Robert Manheim by commlink.
"Damn you, Manheim. Those shields were supposed to be almost impenetrable with ENERGY weapons. And yet one or two pirates can take them down with nuclear missiles?"
Manheim was on the defensive. "Well, if they targeted the..."
"Enough." Jake was done with this conversation. "You're getting loads of government money to make these things, so make them work right." He switched off the commlink and walked out of his office.
