Grays Hill

President Allan Cooke walked up to the podium, and adjusted the microphone. He was preparing to deliver a world changing speech. He straightened his papers, and began:
“Ladies and gentlemen, I am happy that you could attend this historic land mark in Grays Hill’s great history. This speech may or may not have a profound affect on other nations in the world, but I know that it will on some. Especially those in the RWC, and those who actively hate the RWC. I no longer believe that it is in Grays Hill’s best interest to remain in this alliance. The stench of war looms in the distance, and for no good reason. Some nations in the RWC, which shall remain unnamed, have been quick to want to attack others. Even while still going though the diplomatic process.
“This is the reason for this speech today, ladies and gentlemen. Today as of 12 noon, Grays Hill will withdraw from the RWC. This will have a rather large affect on our nation. Though we are leaving, we wish to maintain the best of relations with those still in the RWC. The hatred of the RWC, by many nations, and the constant propaganda against it has tainted our credibility as a nation, and we wish to restore our once great reputation.
“As Grays Hill leaves the RWC, it will be searching for a new alliance, or starting one of its own. Any development of such, or course, will be relayed to the press, and then to you, the great citizens of Grays Hill, and the world. To the nations of the RWC I say this “It was a pleasure boys, but now we must leave. Good luck and God’s speed.”
With that, the press started snapping pictures, as Allan Cooke turned and left the podium. He thought to himself, “Is this REALLY in the best interest of Grays Hill?” His cabinet seemed to think so, and probably so did many other nations worldwide.
