The DT114 Main Battle Drone Tank Represents the Next Generation in hands off warfare. With its incredibly advanced AI, multiple target tracking ability, cold fusion power packs, and dual railguns, the DT114 will free up your manpower and defeat the enemy stone cold dead.

-Specifications-

Height- 16.5 meters in "sitting position", 25.4 meters with legs fully extended.
Length- 16.2 meters
Width- 7 meters

Power System: 7, 1-ton cold fusion reactors (2 powering the railguns, 4 powering each leg and 1 for onboard electronics) housed in 18 inches of high impact resistance nano-polymer fiber.

Mean Time Before Recharge: 1 Month

Obstacle-transversal height: How high do the legs go?
Fording depth- 25 meters.
Swims: Dives up to 300m deep.
Jumps: Yea, can jump up to 16m into the air.

AI can right its own falls and also is able to fire and fight upside down if need be.

Weight- 150 tons

AI- Ultra advanced onboard AI capable of clear friend/foe threat deliniation, able to assess the relative value of targets, capable of dealing with as many tactical situations as humans can, due to the ability to check against stored memory when dealing with situations. Also, can take orders from central command or nearby humans through remote interfaces if necessary.

Transmission- Electronically adjustable computerized transmission. Modes selectable by onboard AI.
Off road- 65 mph maximum (Dependent on conditions, terrain, vehicle condition)
Road speed- 70 mph maximum

Armor: Buckyball matrix filled in with ballistic, heat and shock resistant nano-fiber tubing surrounding the AI core. Entire "torso" area bound up with buckyball matrix, neo-LEXAN plates, and Boricized Ceramic "Smart" Reactive armor controlled by the AI that determines whether or not an impending impact requires the blowing out of a panel of armor or not. Thus the common guerilla tactic of firing small rockets to blow out the reactive armor while another bigger rocket is fired after that has been rendered moot. The legs are armored with heavy nano-fibers for the "thighs" and heavy blast plating for the lower parts of the legs to resist explosive traps.

Bomb strings:

If things get too hairy up close, the DT114 can throw out 1 kg blocks of c4 (with attached shrapnel) in chains of up to 100m long warranting the situation. The spare helium generated by the cold fusion reactions power air compressors to fire the chains up to several hundred meters depending on how much C4 is attached.

Weaponry
2 Autoloading R5 50mm Tank Mounted Railguns with 70 slugs each (impact equivalent of 15 inch naval shell) attached to pivots on the turret. The railguns can aim through a 300 degree arc as well as being able to be fired as the turret is rotating and/or the tank is moving.

Rate of Fire: 1-20 rounds per minute per railgun*

*: The Railguns can only fire 1 round per minute, because during the downtime, excess electrical energy must be reabsorbed and slowly dispersed into the environment. Any faster than that and the electrical energy is discharged with the railgun slug, thus ionizing the air in the common "corkscrew trail"

Range: Up to 20 miles.

Ammunition- any metallic object that can be crammed into the chamber will suffice as ammunition.

Small metallic scraps fired at close range act like a huge shotgun. This is especially useful against infantry.

"Boltcutter" anti-tank/bunker/ship/heavy airplane rounds: A depleted uranium slug, with a 3 stage tip designed specifically to defeat multiple layers of heavy reactive armor and/or thick reinforced concrete.

ATP16 Anti-Personel Munition: Thousands upon thousands of tiny metal sand grains, each accelerated at mach 12 at enemy infantry. Imagine the carnage if you will. Bounces off most armor and has the effective range of most anti-personell tank munitions though.

AA "Flaq" Slug: Slugs with a promiximity charge that allows the slug to fragment (with minimal velocity loss) when it gets near airplanes, thus improving chances for a hit.

Secondary Weapons:

4 30mm GAU/20 Miniguns firing 10,000 rpm mounted from the bottom for anti-infantry use

1 bottom mounted oxygen based cutting laser for use against infantrymen.

1 top mounted battery of scramjet SAM missiles for use against pesky airplanes.

Central Communications:

This tank can communicate with central command through nearly unbreakable encryption signals and has strong resistance against any hacking devices.

Electronic devices-

AAV System: All-around view instrumentation system that allows the AI and central command to see in

360 degree around the tank and above and below it.

ATS:Advanced Targeting system. Can track up to 400 targets at once, up to 75,000 feet up and even below the ground. Also helps correct aim for the onboard computer, even when the tank moving.

Radar Jammers: Helps jam the radar devices of enemy vehicles.

Sonic Rangefinder: For when the laser rangefinder fails.

Trajectory Software: Takes into account windage, slug drog, shadowing, position with the sky, know landmarks etc. and calculates a trajectory for all weapons onboard.

Rangefinder Scrambler: Designed to scramble all rangerfinders, laser and
sonic.

Radio and WiFi Scrambler: Designed to scramble communications on a wide range of bandwidths and leave the enemy unable to communicate with each other.

WiFi and teamwork: Anti-Scramble WiFi and radios carried onboard each tank allows the tanks in the field to share information with each other and with HQ. Also, tanks will work in groups with other units and tanks to cover, outflank, supress, flush out and perform any number of tactical manuevers. Also "veteran" tanks can even give orders in the field if necessary.

Hardpoint EMP Shielding: Prevents enemies from using EMP devices on the tank. Designed to survive

even the biggest electric shockwaves through substances can absorb the electricity and prevent it

from getting to vital components.

Infrared Scrambler: Scrambles infrared systems by appearing on infrared screens as having the same

heat signature as a nearby rock.

Light Scrambler: Scrambles and distorts light waves through fiber optics in its outer shell. Doesn't

cloak the vehicle, but does seriously mess with nightvision devices by interfering with the light

waves that get to the light amplification device and allows the tank to change color.

Easily interchangeable parts, easy to maintain and repair, the AI can easily diagnose problems

making repairs a cinch.

Strengthened nano-polymer frame, low radar signature (coated with radar absorbing substances, the

shape can also distort radar), low visual signature (can curl into a ball or dig into the ground),

low heat signature (nothing makes too much heat), low electric signature (EMP hardening also sucks

up electricity), can operate in many climates.

Cost:150 million USD. 10% discount for anyone in the Confederation of Gamers region.

Ooc: I suspect that it's too expensive
Socialist Serbia
19-12-2004, 17:56
No, we spend little of our 2 billion dollar military budget. I think we use roughly 1 billion a year in new research, training, construction and maintainence, leaving us 1 billion dollars. I believe we have spend 100 million dollars extra this year upon the T113-A and the tests for the T113-B, leaving 900 million (roughly) which is enough to cover the purchase of one such drone tank.

I fail to see the rush to buy such weapons. As supreme commander of the 1st Vendrican Army I believe it is superior tactics and the combination of aerial, oceanic, and land based initative that wins the battle.

Of course some of the more technologically advanced nations of this world are forgetting what the Soviet Union's superior doctrines have taught us - mass overwhelming class. With T-90U MBTs at my disposal I feel this arms race has no trophy waiting at the finish line

Yes, but you fail to see the following. This is only 1 tank, and a rather heavy one at that. Besides, each one can destroy 5-6 T90s before the T90s can get into firing range. Also, your T90s pathetic shells will do minimal damage to the tank's armor, plus, they will be rendered almost blind by the instrument scramblers mounted onboard.- DurandalX, Military Robot of the People's Republic of MassPwnage.

I love how the western economic block so infested with fanboys fails to realise that we can summon 10 T-90s to every 1 of these meaningless tanks, and with simple soviet engineering improved by our own venerable masters of mechanics in the city of Sobre Forten we have improved the production lines and quality of our great forefathers in modern warfare.

Would balance be an issue with this vehicle? It looks as if it might tip if hit hard enough in the right direction.

If it did tip, does it have a mechinism to right itself?
MassPwnage

ooc: you can buy 35 T90Us at 5mil each. Damn.

Well, think about it this way. 2 drone tanks firing 40 railgun shots per minute (max rate of fire without caring for detection) each can destroy a tank division of 320 tanks within 4 minutes.

I cannot help but feel I would be wronging my nation or His Excellency's flawless ideals by becoming reliant on some extra-protected Johnny 5. Your claims of remote control are farsical. Only when fighting on the front line, inches from death with adrenaline pumping through every particle of your being can you reach a state of combat perfection that drives your mind to an acceleration beyond the dreams of any radio operative or pentium processor. I wish you luck though with this development, and we shall perhaps see how my nation fares against it yet.
