My freinds,
The Elephanti government has come across a Uranium deposit of unknown size in central Bahrain. We are clearing land to mine it as i write this. Our scientific, economic, and enviormental experts have been in a raging debate over the five weeks since its presence has been known.
The majority of the scientific community wishes to use it for research, claiming that if Bahrain could be completely nuclear powered, other resources needed for generating power could be sold. The Research Board of the University of Manama endorses this idea, and proposes that we ask the world's scientific powers for aid in developing technology required.
Our economic advisors are divided, some beliving that the UoM's proposal is best, as the resale of oil could make large profits, but some claim selling the Uranium would make bigger profits for the government.
The enviormentalists propose that we leave the material, and protect it from theft and causing more damage to the world, especially after the recent disaster in Ukraine.
The High Sultan has decided against using it for military means, and would prefer not to sell it to countries with weapons in mind. He also disagrees with the enviormentalist plan, but asks the world for advice, offers for trade, and offers for the required technology.
With all my gratitude,
Nuum Al'Jablal-Economic advisor to the High Sultan
