This is for certain rpers that don't know the difference between embargoes and sanctions. I saw this in my sanctions on RWC thread but I've also noticed in previous threads going back a while in which I did not participate.

Sanctions:
Sanctions can take many forms.
1. Trade Sanctions- You refuse to allow trade between your nation and who ever it is you are targeting.
2. Travel Sanctions-You ban travel between your nation and your target.
3. Technology Sanctions- You ban technology exchanges between you and your target. In this type, all companies in your nation must have govt. approval before sending goods and stuff to the target to ensure that the target does not get tech that you don't want them to have.
4. Diplomatic Sanctions- This is when you withdraw most of your embassies staff from the target. The extreme of this is when you withdraw your ambassador and or order the target nation's ambassador to leave your nation within a certain period of time. You cannot arrest the ambassador or his staff until this time period has expired as that is a violation of his right to diplomatic immunity.

Sanctions only apply between you and whoever you are targeting. You cannot force other nations to enforce your sanctions. Sanctions do not involve military force. They are used as a diplomatic means to express your displeasure at something some one has done, without resorting to military force. Sanctions do not constitute acts of war.

Embargoes:
This is basically a military blockade of a nation to prevent from trading with the outside world or from recieving tech that would threaten the security of your nation. Unlike sanctions, embargoes are acts of war.
If you have travel embargoe, it means you shoot down all aircraft and or sink any ships trying to enter or leave your target nation. This is also an act of war.

Basically, sanctions mean you are displeased with their actions but aren't going to go to war over it.
Embargoes mean you got a chip on your shoulder and you are aching for a fight.
